Tough call, by the 6th round we just dont know who will be there still.

I'm thinking Lawrence, Wilson and Fields will all likely be gone by 6.  If one is left (most likely Fields) the Eagles could get a King's ransom in picks because I see at least 3-4 teams wanting to trade up to get Fields, if he's still available at 6. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The hype for this kid is crazy and it's become viral over the past two months, to the extent of making him a likely top 10 pick.  (He was a top 20-40 prospect prior).  Like I said earlier, don't underestimate the marketing power of Bison fans.

I felt this way for a while he is your biggest boom or bust of the three quarterbacks behind Trevor Lawrence.

Wilson will be a top 3 pick.

I'd say strong likelihood that if the Eagles are taking a QB, they're trading up and taking one at 3. And it would be who's left between Wilson or Fields.

So what QB you want at six? I'm liking Wilson.

I don’t think it’s out of the question the Eagles try to move up from 6 if they really love one of those quarterbacks to go get them so they don’t risk potentially losing them

I’d guess fields just based on reports tying the Jets to Wilson.

Say goodbye to this year's 1st, 2nd round pick, and next year's 1st and contingent 1st if that's the case.

So is it worth trading 2 1st round picks, contingent 1st and a 2nd round pick when you have Hurts already on the roster?  I don't think so.

Edit:  I would do that for Lawrence but the Jaguars wouldn't do that so moot point.

Yes because AT 6 means the sixth round. Learn to read.

Wilson seems like a weird fit with Joe Douglas, but maybe I'm overthinking it.

And for the Eagles, they always seem to be looking for connections to people they know so I'd imagine they really like Fields (Ryan Day connection). But I don't know...

I read your post just fine. I guess my post went over your head

Well we aren't getting Lawrence. Any other is a possibility. Maybe that crappy third might be useful in trading up.

Didn’t say that’s what I would do. I wouldn’t take a quarterback in general because I don’t think any of them after Lawrence our guys I would love taking the chance on. However if the Eagles love one of those guys and believes he’s a franchise QB that’s better than hurts I could definitely see that moving up to go get them. I don’t think that’s outside of the realm of possibilities. They moved up to go get Carson Wentz as they signed bradford to a deal and Daniel to a deal to back up bradford. They also drafted a quarterback in the second round when they just paid $100 million to another quarterback.. So I don’t put anything past the Eagles if they love a quarterback to go get that quarterback

Yeah they were never going to get Trevor Lawrence. That doesn’t mean they won’t trade up for one of the other three quarterbacks if they love one of the other three. You also have to remember there are other teams that need quarterbacks and might also love that quarterback and try to leapfrog you to get that quarterback. So if they want someone they might not wanna wait and hope they fall to them at six because they did that in the past with Brandin cooks and lost out

Avery was a MIKE at Memphis.  Converted to a pass rusher when drafted.  Did some coverage in college as our conference is a bit pass happy.   Good tackler in college. He does have decent speed. Not really a three down guy, though.

Maybe go FA route at QB? Winston? He's got talent he just throws to many picks. Once again we are one of those teams without a franchise QB. I hate it.

Neither do I but other than Lawrence, I don't see the Eagles "liking" any of the others enough to sacrifice this year's draft and next year's draft, especially since they are still high on Hurts and they are in need of young, inexpensive talent for the rebuild.  It wouldn't make much sense, imo.  Now if Wilson happens to drop to 6...well....who knows what could happen then...but I doubt it.

I don’t know what the Jets are going to do. There were reports when saleh brought lafleur with him to New York that Kyle Shanahan and LaFleur  were very interested in Sam Darnold and the prospect of trading for Sam darnold over Jimmy g. So I don’t know what exactly the Jets feel about Donald. Frankly I think he’s been given the raw deal because his two head coaches were not very good head coaches (bowles is a good DC was bad as HC and Gase was a train wreck everywhere he goes as HC).  And the team around him was bad since he got there. And really he’s had his own set of issues. I tend to think they’ll go Wilson and then try to unload Sam Darnold and get draft picks back to build more around Wilson.

we can't afford any name you know at QB with our cap situation. Face it, we are rolling with Hurts and a late round QB or no name QB to play backup. Just how the cookie is going to crumble this year with how tight the $$$ is. Lurie already said it will be 2-3 years till we are back on track, that mean keeping our draft picks or trading back to gain even more. We are a lot of players away from going anywhere, not one player.

I am so tired of hearing this BS sentiment.  Week in and week out the guy stood, red-faced, at the podium saying "he has to be better”.   Every week!  WTF else do you want him to say?  JFC.

Doing, not saying.  I have been stating that about Wentz and his slow starts, floating balls and fumbles for three years now.

If Chase is there at 6 and they take a QB it’ll be the final straw for me.

So we are gonna be bottom dwellers. Yay.

Pretty much, yes. BUT the good thing about that is after we build up the roster some, We still will suck enough to have a good pick to draft that QB

I wouldn’t touch any of the quarterbacks in free agency this year for starters. If you wanted a veteran backup i could see that. However we just had the whole discussion last off-season that they didn’t want to spend on a veteran quarterback because of their salary cap situation. So I’m not so sure with their were salary cap position the Eagles want to go that route

I mean the sixth pick isn't a bad spot to grab a QB.

Just going with Hurts isnt the solution.

Yes but we need a cheap third stringer too so pencil Mond somewhere in there

What about slammin Sammy Bradford?  Or did he retire?

Eagles need to build the rest of the team before they worry about using another high pick on a QB , you can have brady or Mahomes back there and they can't carry the current team.

Get the rest of the team in place , then find a QB , beit a draft pick or a vet , maybe hurts works out.

At the least, they need a quality back up. One QB (playing QB that is) on the roster.  I suspect one of our 3s goes to a QB unless a QB they really love falls.
