WRs currently on the roster: Reagor, JJAW, Fulgham, Watkins, Hightower, Ward.

I don't get why we'd add Goodwin unless he's taking one of the spots from Watkins/Hightower.

Well they all suck until someone proves otherwise.

Reagor is the only one that anyone would even look twice if cut.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

While I agree with everything you said, that was than and this is now. Those days of sitting a quarterback to watch from the sidelines and learn are over. Maybe if you have a hall of famer like Rodgers you can get to do that but that's no longer the standard. It's to much of a business now with all of the money involved. This is a win now league and what have you done for me lately.

Mahomes sat for a year.

JJAW to TE.

Draft 1 WR.  Resign Goodwin, that leaves you 7 WR's (plus training camp additions, etc)  That's about right.

Someone is going to take Sewell.  Plug and play tackle who could be a pro-bowl player within a couple of years.

Projections have the Jags and Jets (or the Texans in their place) taking a QB at 1 and 2, respectively. Atlanta at 4 needs a QB long-term and probably see themselves in a similar way as the Eagles see themselves -- a bottomed out team that likely won't be picking this high again in the near future. Miami is in prime position to trade down from 3 with teams like the Eagles, Panthers, Lions, and Broncos all likely in the hunt.

Need a veteran in that WR room. Dude still has all-world speed. Makes total sense.

If that's the case and Sewell is available at 6, even better for the Eagles.  I can think of a half dozen teams that would want to trade up to take him at 6.  I hope you're right.

Cut.  We need someone that doesn’t suck in the wr room.

here is a WR not on anyone's radar that should be. fast, and listed at 6'2''. Very versatile.

As someone who doesn't want a 1st round QB this year, I hope I'm right too lol (unless it's the Eagles trading up, then I'd be pretty angry).

But really, I think it comes down to the combination of teams picking at the top this year other than Miami being QB-needy, this QB class being strong, and next year's QB class not being highly regarded (from everything I've read so far).

Jason Licht took over TB in 2014, his record:  2-14, 6-10. 9-7, 5-11, 5-11, 7-9, 11-5 and SB.

How hard is drafting, here's what "Football Guy" Licht did: [OOF = out of football] bold = at least one PB - players who started at least one season

2014:  #7 Evans WR, #38 Seferian-Jenkins TE (OOF), #69 SIms RB (OOF), #149 Pamphile T

2015:  #1 Winston QB, #34 Smith T, #61 Marpet C, #124 Alexander LB

2016:  #11 Hargreaves CB [#39, #59 missed]

2017:  #19 Howard TE, #50 Evans S, #84 Godwin WR

2018:  #12 Vea DT, #38 Jones RB, #63 Davis CB, #94 Cappa T, #117 Whitehead S [#53 missed]

2019:  #5 White, #39 Murphy-Bunting CB,

2020:  #13 Wirfs T, #45 Winfield S

He's good at picking starters, but not picking great players, look how many high 1st and 2nds, yet Evans is the only elite player in 7 years, maybe White down the road.

Nah.  Watkins, Fulgham and Ward would be picked up /signed immediately if they were cut. Hightower probably would too although I think the ones that need protection would be Watkins, Ward and Fulgham.

So if they draft a WR, it could look like this:

Reagor, Fulgham, Ward, (Drafted WR), Watkins, Goodwin.

Hightower P.S.

JJAW converted to TE.

Tampa's drafts have been very good...

What better veteran do you expect to sign on a minimum contract?

So we are debating whether or not the best pass catchers on our team would get scooped up as back roster additions on other teams.

Reminds me of Quez a little bit but with much less production.  Why was his production so low?

Bucs are loaded with young talent , they can just draft BPA this year , no room for starters ,  drafting for the future

Productive? Howie already has him off their board. If he has a brother who stinks that will work though.

seems mostly scheme and QB.

Yes and no, they picked high almost every year, even a blind squirrel . . . here are the guys who started for the SB team, 12 picks in the last 7 drafts:

2014:  #7 Evans WR,

2015:  #34 Smith T, #61 Marpet C

2016:

2017:  #50 Evans S, #84 Godwin WR

2019:  #5 White LB, #39 Murphy-Bunting CB,

2020:  #13 Wirfs T, #45 Winfield S

top backups

#19-2017, Howard TE

#12-2018 Vea DT,

#94-2019 Dean CB

#208-2019 Miller WR

#161-2020 Johnson WR

#144-2018 Watson WR

#107-2019 Nelson LB

The key for TB's success was bringing in Brady, Gronkowski, Jensen C, Suh, Nunez-Roches DT, JPP, and holdovers David and Gholston, pre-Licht.

Nah.  I think both Watkins and Fulgham showed enough to warrant another year on the team.  Ward has been the most consistent receiver on the roster over the past 2 seasons and has shown to be pretty solid in the slot.  Until his production is replaced, he's our slot.

Reagor isn't going anywhere, probably start at Z.

Goodwin would be the veteran receiver out of the bunch.  I'm not super high on Hightower like others so he would be the P.S. candidate, imo.

And we draft a potential starting X (to compete with Fulgham for X) when we trade down and accumulate some additional late 1st or 2nd round picks.

Vea is a starter not a backup

Cappa is a starter, missed superbowl because of injury

Dean is their second best cb

Edwards played in superbowl, and was key through playoffs ,as was brate.

And how can you talk about key to their success, and not mention shaq barret,  you dont wartch enough of them to offer a serious take.
