Depends on the situation. They aren’t going to bench him the last 4 games after all the ish that just went down here. If it’s a game and they are out of the race that’s a different story, but they should be somewhere in contention for that division at the beginning of December.

My post was a reaction to someone saying the they wanted the colts to suck next year with a similar record to the Texans. Which to me means they are getting a top 10 pick.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Unrealistic, you drafted too many SEC players

I wouldn't be happy about this

Eagles will not trade Jason Kelce.  They get the same $5.5M cap savings if Kelce files his retirement papers after June 1.

I think the conversation with Kelce is very simple; he only has one year left on his contract and he mentioned retirement again to Chris Long on his podcast.  If he wants to play out his contract you let him do so and retire an Eagle after next season.  He’s still an asset on the field and would help Hurts.  if he indicates he’s finished and will be retiring you ask him if he’ll consider waiting until after June 1 to announce it.

Championship. Gotta invest in offense in this draft.

It’s early but as is I’d say it’s like this year but without a Lawrence.

Well that sucks with the way you guys talk about the QBs after Lawrence lol

I know. But there is a small, probably unrealistic, scenario the Colts being in a bad division play out like the Eagles 2020 season did where they have a bad record but still a chance to win the division late in December. Titans are good but let’s see how they do with Smith gone. I don’t think they can or would bench Wentz with 4-5 games to go if they are in the race. I don’t think Wentz would take that well either.

Thanks.  Was updating my draft board and I was a little unsure about a few of these guys.

The Eagles can fight to get the bonus money back if he retires and it would be taken off the cap hit. Question is would they do that to him.

I dont think they will be that bad either BUT if the situation happened how the other poster wanted and they are so bad they have a top 5 or even 10 pick, I could see them pulling him to not lose a top 10 first round pick. Again this would be very rare for them to be in that situation but Im just going off that posters situation record wise.

Not a chance imo. The dummy years muddy the waters of what they could actually go for but to me it looks like it would only be $1.5 - $3M tops. That would be such a bad look to the locker room and potential guys they want to bring in down the road.

I didn’t realize Howie gave Kelce two voided years at the end of his contract just to lower the cap.

Man, Howie really sucks at this.

I don’t think so; Kelce is a blood and guts Eagles guy and could do well as an ambassador for the organization down the line.  The Eagles aren’t the Texans or Lions yet.

Yea, it’s very unlikely the pick is an upper first. I’m setting expectations for pick #20. It would take a lot of things happening and them ending the season on a 4 game losing streak to get it higher. I’m just hoping Wentz can stay healthy and play every game up to week 13ish. That should be enough to hit the 75% qualifier and then just see what happens next.

3 offensive lineman in the top 84 is dreamy

With the way Frank runs his offense I feel confident Wentz should stay healthy. Very good oline, consistent running game to take the pressure off Wentz and a quick release passing game to set up the mid/deep throws. As long as hes not diving into any endzones we should be good :)

Why on earth would you take 2 tackles back to back in the early rounds when we have mailata, dillard, and driscoll? Mailata starts at LT, dillard is backing up and driscoll is backing up Lane. Take one to replace lane (if driscoll or dillard doesn't), but two? Back to back that early? That would be gross misuse of draft capital unless you're moving one of those two inside

Man, Howie really sucks at this.

And Cox. And Johnson. And Hargrave. And Graham. And Malik Jackson. And Jeffery. And others I probably am forgetting.

I thought it was pretty creative the first time and then he just went buckwild and did it to everyone.

If they did that to Kelce I would not watch another game until Howie is fired. That would be an absolute slap in the face to an Eagles legend at a time where the fanbase is already at the breaking point because that stupid cuck put us in this position.

Yup, I feel a lot better about the Eagles depth at OT than I do at C or G.  Whether they move Seumalo to C or not would dictate which position I draft.

If any team offers Howie a 2022 1st round pick to move back from #6 he needs to jump on it.  That would put the team in a position to have 3 first round picks in the 2022 draft.

Think we would have to drop back to about 15 to get that, no?

If SF offered 12 and a 22 first rounder i would take it unless Chase is there at 6

Probably.  It’s possible with SF at #12, but Lynch is very shrewd.  The best Howie would likely get off him is a 2021 2nd.

Trading out to #15 would put the Eagles in Jaycee Horn, Jaylen Waddle and Rashawn Slater territory I believe.

In your opinion, is Howie bad at any aspects of being a GM?

He rebuilt the team twice, won a SB, got to two more playoffs, if we were hiring a GM from another team with that record, we'd overlook 2020 (because he wouldn't be available if there wasn't the equivalent of a 2020).

Did he make mistakes? Sure, DeSean and Jeffrey, some draft choices.

Did he have bad luck, Jerrigan, Darby, Malik, Wallace, Dillard, all good moves at the time. If they don't get hurt, last three years might be very different. All durable before they came here.

The cap is less of an issue than people make it out to be, if we're rebuilding in 2021, it's not the time to load up on FAs, Licht drafted for five years before investing in FAs, because he wanted to build a team then spend money. So we'll have some money in 2022 and a lot of money in 2023. If the rebuild goes well, 2023 is when you go grocery shopping.

Wentz helped win a SB, that justifies the deal, and they'll get a 1st (hopefully) and a 3rd back. Too bad it didn't work out, crap happens.

Reason I like Howie is he's smart, and he self-scouts, he'll want to know why things didn't work out, and not repeat the same mistakes. One of the keys to getting better is to make different mistakes, if you're not making mistakes, you're not trying, if you're making the same mistakes, you're a fool
