I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Why would you want him back?

Watson is a stat king, but Houston never scored a lot of points, with him at QB, 402, 378, 384.  QBR 61.8, 70.5, 70.5.

He had a solid running game, Hopkins for the first three years, Cooks last season. Fuller as the #2 WR, Stills, Cobb. Akins & Fells at TE.

While his OL was a bit shaky his first full year, they used a 1st, (2) 2nd rd picks and traded for Tunsil, pro bowl LT the last two seasons.

So color me skeptical of the Watson hype. He's top ten, but elite?

Best QB in franchise history, still in his prime years for a QB, awesome nickname, Super Bowl MVP, could probably cure Covid if he wanted to...

Not sure about any of that but anyway

Why would you want to tarnish your image of him?

No way you need good players around you to win and have success?  That Aaron rodgers is massively overrated having Aaron jones, Adams and top 5 oline. Not sure i believe in him lmao.

Cause Tom Brady having a good Oline, Mike Evans, Gronk, brate, Godwin and Antonio brown in tampa didn’t help him go from 60% completion, 24 tds and 8 ints in 2020 with the Patriots to 65%, 40 tds and 12 ints. Yeah even the elite QBs need good players around them to play at the highest level.

Well... that's all well and good, but Howie wanted to extend him.  Ertz turned it down.

I do think it's ok to offer fair extensions. The fact that Zach turned it down means that either Zach had no sense of his actual self-worth or Howie was bargain hunting.

Either way: dodged a bullet.

Hurts sucks and even if the team stinks it would give us someone to root for.

I think most of it, it's because he's thought of as a complete joke in NFL circles.

I mean Adam Gase got a job as a head coach so how bad can it be.

Somehow a less successful pick than JJAW or Danny Watkins or Marcus Smith.

If he offered him an extension, it was likely one that included a pay raise... which means even if it wasnt what Ertz wanted, it was likely more than he was making.  So Ertz saved the Eagles, not Howie.

Howie is just so overmatched by his job.  Sad really.

If they get something in trade for him, that's more than the Eagles got for those 3.

I guess they hope they strike early enough there may be a team who buy in?

Surtain, Slater, Obviously Sewell if he slides....I am torn on the QB's.  I can be convinced with Zach Wilson.

If we land Slater or Surtain at 6 I would be very disappointed. Sewell is a dream at 6 I highly doubt he last that long.

I don’t see Surtain a CB with much value at 6. Is more of a mid round talent.

Slater is an undersized OT with short length who got away with being technically sound and having good footwork in college. He struggled against powerful strong guys and the NFL is full of them.

I’ll take Pitts any day of the week over any of those guys. If I had a choice of an overvalued good CB/Undersized But technically sound OT or Recevier who might have the highest floor/ceiling of  any pass catcher in the draft? I’ll take Pitts.

Fults, Bridges, Jahil, Elfrid Peyton, Having a 24 + 26th and not being able to do anything with it.

Ya man, Process Killed it.

At the time, it was actually Embiid, Noel, Okafor, Covington, Stauskas, and a whole bunch of draft capital.

One could say the Okafor pick should have been Hezonja, Stanley Johnson, or Mudiay (not that any of them have done amazing things, either), but the process itself was genius. They had so. many. damn. lottery. picks.

I give Eagles credit where it’s due, in the 2013 draft Luke Joeckel was supposed to be great, he was predicted to go number 1 for most of the year, so it’s not like the guy was a reach at 2 when the Jaguars took him, thankfully we got the best tackle in that mess, luck or not.

He’s the bust really no one saw coming, and had the Eagles drafted him and then Marcus Smith the following year, that’s a disaster of epic proportions.

For @austinfan, major outlets telling us what we already know about Howie being horrible on draft weekend.

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/eagles-pff-nfl-draft-grades-pro-football-focus?fbclid=IwAR0otA9g-e07B7RR-Z4gzdNM2_DpGn-aZxctOjH1hmcWinSob_fFxADgLZM

Using their own WAR (Wins Above Replacement) formula, PFF ranked the 32 NFL teams for their drafts from 2017 to 2020. The Eagles ranked 30th, ahead of only the Raiders and Cardinals.

Cowboys getting Wilson would be fascinating from a football philosophy perspective. Load up on offense, hire a defensive genius (not Dan Quinn imo, but a Brandon Staley type...) to compensate for defensive flaws.

Kid is a mess. DUI before week 1. Only 4 snaps all season. Some games he was a healthy scratch or added to the Covid list to make it look better. Titans wont get much of anything for this kid if anything.

Wait he sounds just like the type of persaon/player the Cowboys would want.

I think he said he was quitting football a few days ago. My guess is he will just get cut.

No he just said he was done playing football with the Titans. Which he deleted a day later.
