Or could be creating interest in pick 6. I've seen Jones Mocked to Panthers at 8 and to the Patriots at 15 - I don't know if there is any real interest from either in taking Mac Jones that high but the mocks are predicated on Jones being available at their respective picks. If they believe the Eagles might take him maybe they pony up for him.

Could be. Could be the eagles just like jones. There’s the possibility they think jones is capable of being a franchise QB and they view him much higher than eagles fans. Similarly as they viewed hurts much higher than people on this board.

i was joking about the overcorrection as it’s something we tend to hear reporters use about the eagles from year to year

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Did the pff mock and didn't even try to choose ours when I saw this

No Fing way Bengals choose a QB over Sewell. I left the settings all in the middle too for draft needs, randomness, and care for positional value

At 6 theres some realistic hell no's

Some realistic, yes id like that.

I want no parts of Justin fields, mac jones, Sewell, Kyle Pitts... Like If these guys were available at 38 I wouldnt want them

I would like to see Wilson, Trey Lance, Chase.

We couldn't disagree more on football.

JJ Watt chooses Cards , nice deal he got

Guess he doesnt care about a SB.

Cant really blame guys for going for the money.  Head coaches and QBs are usually the only ones that get greatness measured by Super Bowl wins.

Lol. I want to say that’s unbelievable that they would have the bengals choosing Zach Wilson but then again I’ve seen the Cardinals take Josh Rosen top 10 then a year later go after Kyler Murray ans the Eagles take hurts in the second round when they just signed a franchise quarterback to $100 million contract. Still beyond imaginable. If that actually happened I’d try to trade 6 to get joe burrows if the bengals did that.

Well this could be one of the dumbest articles I've read in awhile.

Eagles a Team to Keep an Eye On for Mariota.   Why you say?  Because he has the same agent as Carson Wentz.  I'm sorry but wouldn't that make him most likely to not want to come here?  Hey Marcus, look how great Carson had it in Philly.  Sign there!  Seriously, where do these people come up with this stuff.

Can someone explain to me the love the Kyle Pitts?

And remember he was barely a top 5 Tight end in the country before he got Kyle Trask/Toney came on board

Can you explain your love of the Steelers?

You mis read it.

Sounds like they meant to say, even though wentz and Mariota have the same agent it wont/shouldnt scare marcus away

Ah, yes I did.

So you want a 3rd LT, a QB who looked average most of the year with incredible talent around him or an over rated tight end who didnt do crap before Trask/Toney got there?

We need to trade down and get either collins or bateman. Overkill on Lt/qb is not necessary. Build a team for once.

Marcus would be a quality back up here. It's worth a go at it.

Any mortgage loan experts here?

Any downside from refinancing a home from 4% to 3% when you are only 2 years into the loan and do not plan on being in the house for more than another 5 years?  We are just riding the real estate wave here in NC.  USAA is able to drop my rate by 1% with NO POINTS!  I don't see any negative....

Binky is in real estate.  Not exactly a loan person but should be knowledgeable on that.

Pitts is matchup nightmare. 6 foot 6 who runs routes like a WR.  If we were to take a WR at 6 I would take Pitts over Smith and Chase.

If they take a tackle that's Becuase that's a building block piece for the team.  Lane is starting to become broken down. He can't really be looked at as a long term option on the team.

And you have Lance over Fields?

That would be a great draft?

Trey Lance has gotten a lot of betting action in the last few days. Interesting.

If Sewell is on the board, then you sprint to the podium. That is best case scenario.

Ok OL guys here’s another small school lineman I think can be a great Player.

Spencer Brown 6’9 322 LBs. From Northern Iowa
Obvious size and length. Very strong and can move. Nice athlete for his size. biggest knock is footwork from what I’m reading but put in time to work out with Joe Staley former 49ers OT.

Here some footage from his senior bowl workout.

Very raw but like another Mailata.  I noticed him when I was scouting Elerson Smith. I would take either of them. May not last to day 3.

If they go Sewell (which I’d be excited about) then someone is likely getting traded. Have a hard time seeing the eagles paying dillard first round money and really can only play LT, mailata needs a extension as he’s entering his last year so won’t be cheap anymore, lane making what he is making and Sewell being paid first round top 6 money. That’s a ton of money invested at the tackle position with 4 guys who can only play tackle. While I think tackle is massively important i can’t see us paying that type of money (assuming they extend mailata). I feel like one would be gone.

I think Sewell would start inside and then be a player that would be in line for Lane's job.

Why is it Doug failed to develop WRs but Stout gets credit for the OL?

It’s not on play callers to develop players. They are supposed to get production and put them in positions to succeed. Position coaches do the developing.

I disagree.  Part of developing a player is identifying and utilizing strengths. Something I think Doug and Jim failed at.  Seemed they wanted players to play to their offense and defense rather than maximizing talent.  Stout and Itsvan spent a lot of time at pro days.  I believe that their recommendations played into draft selections.  I suspect Peelle at TE did too.  Now Frajole spent time at pro days too but after Hicks, they kept skipping LBs early to Taylor on a non pro day year.  I think that goes to show that a combination of scouting and working out players works best.

Great move.  Note Johnston isn’t listed. Wonder if Howie is trying to extend.  His touch inside the twenty in the corners is lacking but otherwise a solid punter.

Getting a 3rd, or 4th LT is such a bad idea

Drafting someone at 6 to use them inside isnt a good idea either. At that point you'd basically need to trade Dillard(for peanuts) and probably look to get rid of Mailita as he is a starter

I think Sewell and mailata could play RT. To me dillard is about the only one i think is exclusively LT. To me it’s more about when lane is done can move mailata or Sewell to RT and have your LT also set. However i don’t see the eagles keeping all 4 if they take Sewell

I thought I did okay getting decent return from San Fran on the trade. Dallas and N.Y. tried first I was too expensive for them evidently.

Who are you sitting? Seumalo and Brooks are starting. Sewell might be a great tackle but that doesn’t mean he’s a great guard. I’m fine with seumalo and Brooks. Unless the assumption is kelce is retiring and you are moving seumalo to center. I’m not sold on that’s the way the eagles go. I think the original intention was to move seumalo to center to replace kelce cause they didn’t think kelce was long to be here. However i wouldn’t be shocked if the eagles look elsewhere at center in the draft tbh. Also were rumors the eagles had Driscoll learning center when they worked him out last draft season.
