I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If anything happens to Brooks, we have Herbig. Before trying to move Seumalo to C, I think a long look at Juriga is needed. The coaches liked him last year as the backup. He (like every other rookie) was deprived of preseason games, so we really didn't get much of a look at him in a game, since Kelce is so tough.

To answer your question a little better, I feel O-line is the least of our worries and that we should address defense in the 1st round. My preference is to draft a CB that can come in and play opposite Slay and learn from him, study him and get what they can from having him here. I'm not sure how long Slay will remain an Eagle, so filling 1 CB position with a player capable of starting from day 1 can really help this team the most, IMO. Jacquet had some highs and lows in our defense in limited opportunities last season. I'd like to see the team try to develop him, but he needs time and shouldn't be thrust into a starting position. After Slay and Jacquet, we don't even have an outside CB on the roster. I'm not opposed to trading down a couple spots if we go CB with our 1st pick, but I also wouldn't overreact if we picked Surtain or Farley at #6. I'm less about where a player was drafted (draft position) and more about the player making the team better.

I really think rounds two and three are where you will see alot of DBs go

would love to get a good safety in the second...like we should have last year...

i hope they play maddox at safety next yr and let mills walk

I don’t hate Giroux. I think he was a very good player. Not a superstar like some flyers fans try to make him. However after he had that career year and the following year the Flyers were not very good and they knew they had to were in the rebuild they should have traded him. His money against the cap was not going to help the flyers when they got to being a legit contender again. He was going to be declining and it’s 8.3 mil they could’ve used elsewhere. Additionally could’ve added prospects and picks along with the cap space to add to the current roster. He’s not worth the cap number at this stage of his career.

The end of western civilization is nigh.  The haplessly woke are trying to ruin science and math education. Consider the following from a pamphlet supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation regarding the teaching of math:

The recommendations proposed in this pamphlet are starting to be adopted by school boards throughout the country.

The scary part of this is what happens when kids who are 15-18 years old now become teachers in the next 5-10 years and start to teach the next generation based off of insane standards like the above. It's Yuri Bezmenov ideological subversion principals at play. It's not a sudden systemic change, it's a slow progressive one that usually takes years to cultivate and spread.

Nope, they should have traded him 2 years ago.  He's just kind of there now.  It's weird.

Yeah two years ago is what I’m talking about. He had that 100 point season the year prior then the following year they weren’t very good and he had 85 points. That was the time to do it. He has assists but he’s not shooting the puck nor scoring goals. He’s had 1 goal this year and 2 goals in over 30 games when you include the bubble. He’s on pace for 4 goals

I really hope they don’t make a big move like going after ekholm. They aren’t a legit cup contender. I don’t see them beating tampa or Boston in a 7 game series. Plus if you make that move with the explanation draft you are going to have to have one of ekholm, provy, sanheim and Myers unprotected. And whoever it winds up being is going to be plucked by seattle unless you give up more compensation.

Second. Really like him

The bigger issue is fitting him in with our tight cap situation.   But hockey more than any sport, teams can get hot and go on a role.  He could be just what they need.

I just don’t think they are able to move forward until they move away from the past.  Giroux and Voracek need to go.

Ekholm is only making 3.75 against the cap. I don’t think that would be much of an issue and has another year left on his deal. Probably would ship out Gustafson in the deal to have the space.

i tend to agree with you on that last part. I think you need to break away from the past and move forward with the next wave. I give the flyers credit they were willing to do so with Richards and Carter. Seems like now they didn’t want to do that with voracek and G. And now i think you are likely stuck with G until his contract runs out at the end of next year. I do think you could deal voracek but i think the flyers wouldn’t like what they get back.

I would love to see the Eagles get a safety like Hamsah Nasirildeen in the draft.  Really good size (6’4, 220), long arms, good tackler, good ball skills, can play at the LOS or downfield, also plays ST.

You know what’s going to be the real kick in the pants.  Duce is in Detroit 1 year and then gets a HC job. Detroit gets the combo picks for "developing” a black head coach.  Eagles get nothing.

Brian Johnson will get a HC job before Duce.

UCF will have 3 players drafted before the 3rd round. All in the secondary. I didn’t watch them but they must’ve been good.

Him and Grant really looked good at the senior bowl, Hamsah needed reps to show he’s all good from the ACL surgery and he did, he can cover and hit, really hit. Before the ACL he was likely a late 1st round pick. Grant looked like a corner out there, much better than I thought.

Say what you want about the Senior Bowl, anyone seeing that built like an anvil kid, Center from Grambling, had to be impressed.  He’s like 6’ tall and 350 lbs, no one could move him, it was hilarious watching them try.

Sorry if this was mentioned, but did anyone see that mock with us taking Mac Jones at 6?

I think someone would actually kill Howie.
