Let's get greedy. Completely rebuild the Eagles secondary.

A top CB and S in rounds 1-2.

What's your favorite combo?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The same as the rest of our defense has done the past few years.

You know what I would love to do?  Throw the 3 first picks at one part of the team and make it a strength for the next 5 years.  Secondary or O Line.  I would prefer to trade down to do so.  I would normally say D line.  But it is a weak D line draft.

That would be a way-over-investment in the OL, besides Lane would probably demand a trade 😏

I could see forgoing 6 trading with a team like ARI for their 1,2 and 3. We’d then have 16, 37, 49, 69, 79 and 84 and efficiently chose 2 OL out of those six. Slater, Bateman or DB ( or tradeback again ? ) with pick 16 sounds good to me

Sorry if this was mentioned, but did anyone see that mock with us taking Mac Jones at 6?

I think someone would actually kill Howie.

😂😂

Nothing to think about.

The little hope and respect I have left for this team would be dead.

Ekholm is only making 3.75 against the cap. I don’t think that would be much of an issue and has another year left on his deal. Probably would ship out Gustafson in the deal to have the space.

i tend to agree with you on that last part. I think you need to break away from the past and move forward with the next wave. I give the flyers credit they were willing to do so with Richards and Carter. Seems like now they didn’t want to do that with voracek and G. And now i think you are likely stuck with G until his contract runs out at the end of next year. I do think you could deal voracek but i think the flyers wouldn’t like what they get back.

Flyers are behind the times when it comes to the current NHL.  Not enough speed up the ice and of course it impacts back checking, getting to the puck on dump ins.  That notwithstanding, on the 3rd Penguins goal allowing tow guys to set up on Hart's door step with nobody seemingly noticing is pathetic.   And I have no idea what they are doing with with PP entry into the zone.  Completely unorganized mess.  Oh, and it's become evident Patrick won't shoot the damn puck.   Most of all the team speed shows up in games against the better teams.

Yes!  I would prefer offensive line in this scenario.   Great lines make everybody better.  Want to improve a team?  Make the lines great and presto, team improves.  Imagine the Buddy Eagles with an offensive line that was half as good as their defensive lines.

Ertz is more than likely gone.  Dick Rod and Perkins are FA.  You're left with Hakeem Butler and Tyree Jackson, a WR and QB learning the position.  Then you add the fact that Goedert needs a BIG extension either this year or next which the Eagles can't afford and what are you left with?

This is one of the main reasons I was pushing for Kyle Pitts months ago...that is before I realized he's more Mike Evans than he is a tight end.

There are a lot of good mid-late round new age-traditional tight ends available and the Eagles would be wise to get one.

Everything should be on the table for the eagles  ,all positions

now what position and what round you draft them in , depends on how the team values the position

defense wise , I think it starts from the back to the front , and DL inside out

back to eagles , they need weapons across the board , if they want to give Hurts half a chance at succeeding .

The scary part of this is what happens when kids who are 15-18 years old now become teachers in the next 5-10 years and start to teach the next generation based off of insane standards like the above. It's Yuri Bezmenov ideological subversion principals at play. It's not a sudden systemic change, it's a slow progressive one that usually takes years to cultivate and spread.

No, the scary part is when these kids become engineers and architects and planes start falling out of the sky and skyscrapers start collapsing.

You know what’s going to be the real kick in the pants.  Duce is in Detroit 1 year and then gets a HC job. Detroit gets the combo picks for "developing” a black head coach.  Eagles get nothing.

Well in this case if that happens they deserve nothing

I’m good with DG, bigger fish to fry for the Eagles then replacing Dick ... much

I would love to see the Eagles get a safety like Hamsah Nasirildeen in the draft.  Really good size (6’4, 220), long arms, good tackler, good ball skills, can play at the LOS or downfield, also plays ST.

Wrong S for the D that Gannon ran and our roster.  Need a true center fielder.   Nasirildeen doesn’t have that sort of speed and Wallace is more like a SS.  Nickel skills.  The FS probably go late first day, early second day.

He's a FA.  What happens when DG gets hurt again or balks at the Eagles offer and goes out to see if he can get a Kelce/Kittle contract next year?

Not trying to be negative, just being realistic that TE is a need, much like every other position on the team.

Do we have any comps of what G.Conley and M.Hooker might be worth as free agents? Both are young , have some talent but with injury histories...

Like with the Boeing 737.

It looks like the cap is going to be at 180 million this season, which will make it tough on the Eagles, but equally, there could be opportunities out there for a 1 year, on a reasonable contract, deal to be made with some players. The problem though is finding the cap room and not making the roster materially worse to make any FA signings moot

Yup.

Expect to see a lot more of that in the future. When math is deemed subjective and objective mathematical truth is deemed white supremacy, there will be real world consequences.

Math doesn’t care about politics or political correctness or wokeness or any of that garbage. It is the language of reality, regardless of how much or little you or I might like that reality.

Farley and Moehrig i think

but i really like Grant from UCF too. Campbell from Georgia at CB rd 2 would be nice.

Challenge for me is i wish we had another second rounder. i keep getting caught between OL and DB and i want both. Its why i like a trade down.

where the Texas fans at? Sterns any good?

With all of the technology available at our fingertips, I would think younger generations are looking smarter but that that doesn't mean much if you ask me.

Can they sit down and use critical thinking to figure out problems and find solutions?

Can they accept the fact that their outcome might not be correct?

Do they realize that the argument for "trust the science" doesn't just work for things you defend?  If you're going to "trust the science" then you have to trust it across the board.

Is common sense a thing anymore?

No denying there are brilliant minds in younger generations but I'm honestly starting to get nervous with this shift in education, what's being taught, what's being erased and so on is going to have some seriously negative effects once they are grown and in real society.

I would rather draft those positions.   Eagles have no money so at best they are talking one year prove it deals.  No to Kempski ideas.  Howie does that and this time next year, Kempski is criticizing Howie for the move.  Either the oft injured player gets hurt again or performs for one year earning and extension or Howie let’s him walk. Any of those, Kempski criticizes later forgetting he floated the idea, see Robinson and Jenkins for proof.  Robinson was being cut in camp, BTW, per Kempski.

Gen X is statistically the smartest generation by IQ. IQ gains peaked in people born in the mid 1970’s and the Flynn effect has reversed since then.
