JJAW has the straight line speed I covet?

4.49 at 6’ 2” and 222.  That’s almost Alshon coming out of college fast.  Good speed for a big WR.  The thing with JJAW is his 4.41 short shuttle and 7.23 three cone.  His lack of cut quickness is telling in contrasting him with Alshon in his prime and a slower 40 time for Fulgham. Good news is that it is easier to improve quickness than straight line speed. Now , JJAW had a better short shuttle than Ertz did at 247, 4.47 although Ertz three cone was better at 7.08.  I am not sure there are more than a half dozen NFL players with the speed you covet.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I think to some degree it's something they know.  Wentz played better when McCown had his ear last year.  They wanted to bring in Orlovsky I think because they thought he would be able to get more out of Wentz.  When that didn't happen, they brought back McCown.  I think they know Taylor isn't enough.  I think Taylor likely has a good relationship with Doug and Wentz but it's just apparent he can't fix problems with this offense.  He can't fix repeated problems with the QB.  I mean fumbles were an issue for both of them.  We know it was not effectively addressed, we have no idea why it wasn't but the blame falls on Taylor.  He has got to go.

Doug supposedly let him call some plays this year.  I see that as an epic fail too.

Consider the source.  He's off the rails anymore.

I called it a week ago.  It's Duce as the OC and who f-cking knows as the DC.  Burke most likely.

Agree on Burke as a possibility but minority hiring rules and focus may hamper Burke.  As to Duce, I offer that Doug was out with Covid during the PS and Duce was in charge.  Given how unprepared the Eagles were out the gate, why do you think Duce gets promoted.

Probably not and that’s why I covet it.

We can always promote Matt Burke to OC

What are the best trails in WV?

So Im partial to the areas around Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley as its not far from where I grew up.  Very beautiful

There are waterfalls all over the state and cool swimming holes.

New river gorge has great trails

But the areas around Tucker, Randolph, and Pendleton counties are my favorite.  Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks...lots of amazing places

Should happen and will happen aren’t exactly one and the same with this organization

He actually wasn't that bad of a DC.  That 2011 season was almost like COVID year in that due to the lockout there were no mini camps or free agency or anything until like a week before August and then Howie and Andy decided to create major roster turnover with new big name additions.  So of course the former OL coach turned DC and that newly put together defense would struggle early on but they were playing pretty well by the end of that season.  Had the Jets beat the Giants late in the year then the Eagles would have had a chance to get in as a wild card and who knows them because that team was playing much better to close out that year.

Then of course the situation with Andy's son in training camp the following year and Juan was made an early scape goat of that disaster of a season.  But his defense was actually playing really well in those early games.  There were some games lost late but Andy and his offense had as much to do with that as Juan and the defense . His defense was better than McDermott's with us.

Yes please

I would prefer any OC choice over Press Taylor. Literally any. Donnie the PE teacher from Spokane would be a better choice than Press Taylor.

Once Gerry left the LB core was solid given the lack of investment/talent put into the position.

Given what Ken was given, he did a pretty good job.  Got more out of Riley than Atlanta could.  Both Singleton and Edwards improved.

Once Gerry left due to an injury. Don’t forget he’s on record loving and praising Gerry for "unnoticed production.” He also had LJ Fort and did nothing with him.

Hiring Press Taylor as the OC would not only border on insanity, it would rewrite the definition of it.

C'mon, man.

Yup and mcdermott didn't have to deal with washburn either nor did bowels whom castillo's defense also out performed.

Yeah you’re right. Teams are lining up to hire him as their DC.

Singleton was good against the run, and is aggressive and fast, but he makes a lot of mistakes in coverage.

I still think Jim Caldwell would be a pretty decent hire if we are going with an older type coach.  I thought he would have been a great hire last year and still think the same.  I would rather us go young and innovated but with this FO I doubt we will.

Texans have interviewed and may hire Caldwell as head coach.  Unless there are interviews going on that haven’t been made public yet, the Eagles are already running behind

The one common denominator in the offense gradually sucking worse and worse... Doug Pederson. Throw in Howie for missing on draft picks and putting us in cap purgatory

How in the hell does anyone know how good of a coach Press Taylor is???

How would either of them compile a 26-21 record last season? There's only 16 games in a season.  Your biased math makes no sense.

Chip Kelly's final season(ok?) was BETTER than Wentz's last season. I figured you'd understand it the way I wrote it. I had no idea that you might not be trying too hard.

That 4.49 was at his Stanford Pro Day. He passed on running the 40 at the combine because he was going to have a bad time.

JJAW can't run. He's a 4.6 guy

I honestly think the only reason they haven't fired Press yet is because of Wentz. They gonna see if they can repair the relationship with Wentz first. The probably figured canning his buddy isn't  a good first step in this process.
