Are you kidding?  Howie just got down to cutting the over the cap number down to less than a third of what it was a month ago.

Did I not post the update and the damage he has done to 2022 and 2023 a couple pages back, before others, not me, started the Avant Ward debate ??

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Do we have an actual number now after the Hargrave restructure?  Assuming around $20 million based on your comment.

Impact on the cap after Hargrave update.

With guarantees given to restructure for this year, Howie has decreased the 2022-2023 cap 66.5 million to shave 25.7 million this year.

Some of that will come back after the June1 cuts process, but you can see how this mismanagement is not going to go away soon.

Still do not have the numbers on Seumalo, Kelce and Hargrave for 2025, but we have 22.2 million tied to Johnson and Slay for 2025.  Slay is a dummy year to spread cap hits, and it will be the same with Seumalo, Kelce and Hargrave.  Could approach 40 million in cap space allocated to 35 year old Lane Johnson and 4 dummy contracts.

I have to say it @austinfan, but the one thing Howie was supposedly good at, he is crippling this team for years with.

I agree with this.  But, don't every say anything bad about Jason Avant.  He is the man, he has great hands.

Yeah I'm fine with Avant, I just think he is held in higher regard with the fanbase than he really earned.   Especially in the context of the fanbase really having no respect or appreciation someone like Ward who has worked his ass off for this team on the practice squad and then when he finally his opportunity he siezed it and truly played an important role in us making the playoffs in 2019.  Then this past season when we had a team that was a complete inconsistent mess, Ward was one of the few who was actually consistent and dependent in his role.

He's not a super talented or explosive weapon, but he is a super hard working and dependable player who will be there and will catch the ball when called upon.  It's really a shame how he hasn't been embraced by the fanbase.

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Ok.  Obsessing on Ward.  Is that better?

Nah, discussing is all. I got nothing against him. He was probably the only w.r. weapon we had in 2019. But I'm definitely disappointed that nobody could step up last year and unseat him.

As you said though he's not anywhere near the worst problem on the team.

Nice player who can jump

Edge rusher Joseph Ossai vertical 41.5

so can his teammate

Safety Caden Sterns vertical 42

OK. So how would you go about hiring a coaching staff?

I’ve used search firms before.  I think there are some people who do this for NFL teams.

I’d also mine my network for referrals.

To limit the search to people you already know is foolish and shortsighted.

You're right. That's an awful miss by him. Shady's best performance an Eagle!

#233 seems to be a solid pick for Howie getting good value in the seventh round.

Wow man, just having a little fun with the Ward v Avant battle royal.  There really is nothing else Eagles related going on today.

There are strict rules in here man, especially with all of this recent exciting Eagles news to discuss.

Top 40 pick , wouldn’t be shocked if he sneaks into rd 1

EDGE Joseph Ossai 6036, 256 lbs, 33 7/8" arms 41.5" vert 10'11" broad 19 reps

Ossais 41.5 is one of the best marks by a defensive end in the last three decades, Would tie for top 4. That's impressive. His 1011 broad would be 6th all time for a DE. The combination of those two is some insane explosiveness

I'm dead over here:

Greg Ward is one hell of a player. He made the game so it wasn't a straight laugher and just and ass-whooping instead.

RememberTheWard

Pretty annoying Eagles only make Sirianni available to media one time for 30 mins while all the others teams even let the coordinators and position coaches speak, more than once. Even the Texans let Culley do two PC’s.

There's such an easy fix for this: let Sirianni do interviews with national reporters.

No........it's TDN, but this was the smallest I could get the post  😂

Honestly ward gets criticized so much and played down cause of the big shoes he had to fill after what Reuben randle did as an eagle...

If only Mahe had established himself as a clutch player in big moments of the game on offense.

Not sure Greg ward has established himself as a clutch player in big moments.

I wouldn't call a catch against washington and 1 or 2 more sprinkled in in meaningless games and establishment 😒

Having said that I like Ward he works hard is a team guy and I think he's no better than a 4th WR.

Maybe Siriani uses him differently instead of as an outlet receiver like Doug did l, at best I think he's a marginal slot

Sirianni wants to get the ball into our playmakers’ hands within 5 yards of the LOS. Ward is a perfect fit.

According to Geoff Mosher on Inside the Bitds podcast Jalen Hurts is working out with WRs Jalen Reagor, John Hightower, Quez Watkins, and Travis Fulgham in Frisco Texas today.

Hopefully we get some twitter videos.  These offseason workouts are all we got.

He is his own mock draft machine.  Lucky for us he didn't put the rest of the picks in he did.
