I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Blankenship would be a nice Day 3 pick-up - he's a ball-hawk and should be a Special Teams tackling demon to boot.

Beast's guy Sterns is another likely Day 3 bargain with the range to handle a deep safety role.

My sleeper safety was Trill Williams, but the world and his wife seem to have cottoned on to him just lately. IMO he's now more likely to go Day 2.

Im not sure why Sterns is so slept on.

Rebuild and youth movement has been activated (in robot voice):  also not sure why my 7th round pick says "San Francisco Eagles."

I like Stearns a lot on Day 3.  I would really like Jevon Holland if he slips into 3rd round.  Most mocks I have seen have him late 2nd to mid 3rd.

Whaddup dawgzz!!

When we getin foles back?! Super bowl MVP needs to **** home

Andy would have to have gone out drinking with Britt to accept that offer.

Think I crushed it

Maybe they’ll run into Carson

Isaiah McDuffie is a  rd 5 type underrated backer .

Another of those S LBs.   I say we see what Davion Taylor offers at WIL.  Frankly, I do not have a handle on what Gannon seeks in a LB.

You’re right.

Totally agreed.  Give me one of those and swing back around with another centerfielder type like Stearns later.  Then you have Wallace be a sub-package nickel LB/box safety type.

Stearns is a good option i think

So for all of you posting Shaka Toney in your mock drafts, if you are going for an undersized DE, why not Chris Rumph II?  He was off the charts rushing the passer at Kentucky and plays the run well.  Looks fast.  Seems to play with good instincts. Has the height that Gannon allegedly prefers.  Not sure on the bend but that is because he starts in a two point stance a lot.  Just curious.  One of the later round DEs that I have been looking at.  I remember when Kearney was down to 235 so I believe some of these 235+ DE prospects can put on weight.

Perfect kind of springy edge rusher to take a chance on late

Lee is a moron. Why would KC trade the 31st pick in a draft for a player with 2 years left on his deal(has a 5th year option) when they could draft a OT in a loaded OT draft and get 4 to 5 years out of the rookie on a cheaper rate? Lee should keep his ideas to himself.

If we’re gonna play zone, I love Adebo. St. Brown reminds me of Tyler Boyd.

Tuf Borland, though? Gross.

This defense needs to get Tuf.

Well here you go then.  Josh Allen 52.8% as a rookie.

Or we could do not even rookie Nick Foles in his 4 regular season games in 2017 before the playoffs: 56.4%.

Josh Allen is a better example, but even he got stronger in the second half of games as a rookie. He didn't have a staggering decline.

As for Foles, that's so asinine I don't even know if I should respond. We had how many games of a sample in Philly before 2017? He went on to do what in the playoffs? He went on to win us our first SB? Granted the team was drastically better, but Foles also won those games. Something Hurts did once.

Some comparison.

We don't even know what Dillard is going to be like

Traded a 1st, 4th, and 6th to get to Dillard

That's half the problem.  He's almost 26 entering year 3 and he's a huge question mark.  If you can get a 1st round pick for that you do it.  They also traded about 6 draft picks to get Carson and he's gone.

This offseason is about sucking it up and getting rid of guys who aren't good enough.  If that means eating the sunk costs so be it.   It sucks but this is what Howie has done.  Bad drafting, bad cap management and that's the 2021 Eagles.

So what were Josh Allen's stats in the second half of his first 4 career starts since you apparently are well versed in the second half performance of him as a rookie?

And that is why I get my hackles up when folks go after guys like Ward, Scott, Avant, and even Celek.  Every team needs those kinds of guys.  The kind that do everything asked of them and their try hard makes them that much better. Q was just like that.  A little bit slow S that worked his way from the PS to STs to Pro Bowl S.  Now honestly, when Dawk in his prime is the other S, it does make the job a little easier but Really thought Clements was going to one of them.   J R Reed looked like he might get there.  That’s how I view T J Edwards.   Driscoll looks like one of those.  Never played C. But before the draft, practiced at C because he is willing to do whatever it takes.  Isaac Seumalo is one of those guys.  For five seasons, Jalen Mills has been one of those guys. If Sidney Jones had half the heart that Jalen Mills has, he would be an all pro.

Mikell spoke about how late round draft picks or undrafted guys typically come in with a chip on their shoulder to prove they deserve to be on the team, those guys are needed on every team.

Even though Slay is paid really well to cover the opposing teams best WR, to hear Avant talk about how Slay basically took Quez Watkins under his wing and challenged him at every practice should remind everyone that these guys are a team, and to remember that not only are they are going after it at practice, but when the team is down, and playing like garbage, the coach and the QB aren’t really speaking, they aren’t just going through the motions, they are trying to make each other better.

He got some in there. Brown has nice potential, Brevin is a nice compliment to Goedert, Carman is Brooks like at G and Jefferson can be our Hines.

Alex Leatherwood is considered to be one of those top tackles and average DEs ran circles around him at the senior bowl. Dillard is better than anyone they will get at 31.

32 teams in the NFL would take a 20-22 year old rookie that can be on a 5 year contract at a pick 31 salary over a 26 year old already in year 3 that is a unknown still, and already injured 1 full season. Yes 32 teams, including the Eagles. No team is dumb enough to make that trade.

Yeah, I would definitely not want a LT who has spent two years being trained by the best oline coach in football when I can have an extra two years of a guy who couldn't block sixth round draft picks. Makes sense to me.
