Yeah, I would definitely not want a LT who has spent two years being trained by the best oline coach in football when I can have an extra two years of a guy who couldn't block sixth round draft picks. Makes sense to me.

If the best o-line coach in football signs off on trading someone for less than they invested in him that should say something too.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

LOL you act like your example player will be the only OT avail. Its a very deep draft in Oline this year. Lets be realistic, no one is giving the Eagles a first round pick for Dillard. Its just dumb even suggesting it. Just because a player is a Eagle does not up his value. Maybe to you it does cause you are drinking the green juice. But in the real world, Dillard is not worth a 1st rounder.

Alex Leatherwood is considered to be one of those top tackles and average DEs ran circles around him at the senior bowl. Dillard is better than anyone they will get at 31.

1 on 1s should be won by the DL. That's not really the setting to knock an OT.

It's dumb to have an argument about something that has an answer. We will see who is worth what in a few months.

So what were Josh Allen's stats in the second half of his first 4 career starts since you apparently are well versed in the second half performance of him as a rookie?

I don't know based on his first four, but I do know that over the span of his first year from the first to second half his completion percentage was essentially the same, he passed for more yards in the second half, he had a higher YPA in the second half, he averaged more rushing yards per attempt, etc.

You can cling to four games if you want, but the fact of the matter is Allen, despite teams having an entire seasons worth of tape on him, managed to perform, at the very least, the same from one half to another. Teams adjusting didn't drastically shut him down.

You can argue until you're blue in the face, but you'll continue to be wrong. Jalen Hurts got his ass handed to him once teams adjusted.

So for all of you posting Shaka Toney in your mock drafts, if you are going for an undersized DE, why not Chris Rumph II?  He was off the charts rushing the passer at Kentucky and plays the run well.  Looks fast.  Seems to play with good instincts. Has the height that Gannon allegedly prefers.  Not sure on the bend but that is because he starts in a two point stance a lot.  Just curious.  One of the later round DEs that I have been looking at.  I remember when Kearney was down to 235 so I believe some of these 235+ DE prospects can put on weight.

Rumph is one I came across and going by the scouting reports I read on him I thought he'd be a good later round pickup to add depth to the DE position.  I'd be cool if we drafted him.

If Eagles D is playing two high safeties often in 2021, here's to hoping they double dip at the safety position this draft.

Moehrig/Grant + _____________

This is what I really want to see happen.  Trade back and draft Moehrig and Grant to be our CF S tandem for the next several years (assuming we can someday figure out a good way to manipulate the cap again like in the time before time days).  The way the game is played now rangy cover Ss with ball skills are at least as important as CBs, maybe more.

Yes, yes! I'd love to see the Eagles get both Moehrig and Grant. It would take a lot of pressure off the CBs. You negate an offense's speed with rangy Ss that can make plays on the ball. With a few trade backs, this scenario is certainly possible.

Even if the Eagles could grab just one of these two safeties, the ripple effect on the defense would be noticeable Day 1.

And if the Eagles end Day 2 without addressing the safety position, I hope Howie is brought up on charges.

Birds with friends newest podcast is a mess. Stupid Bo has some dumb game they play and right out of the gate he has WiFi problems. But the whole time you hear the idiot typing away which is completely distracting and annoying.

32 teams in the NFL would take a 20-22 year old rookie that can be on a 5 year contract at a pick 31 salary over a 26 year old already in year 3 that is a unknown still, and already injured 1 full season. Yes 32 teams, including the Eagles. No team is dumb enough to make that trade.

Let's not forget AR was here for the Danny Watkins experiment, he was 26 when they drafted him.

Not very good.  Seeing how goofy this program is on trades, I got all of Denver’s 2021 draft choices, their 1,2,3 I’m 2022 and 223 and their 4 in 2022.   I got all of that from the 49ers but their fourth in 2022.  Grabbed their fourth in 2023 instead.  Occasionally grabbed two additional 4s in each year, 4 additional 5s in each year,  5 sixths and five sevenths each year and still walked away with Farley and Davis as my first two picks. Obviously, on the strength of our PFF drafts, Lurie should just fire Howie and hire us.  Cannot get more real than PFF’s mock draft.

I know they are for fun. But Id stick with only 1 trade back in the first. The chances we trade back 2 or 3 just wont happen so for the realistic of it, Id stick with 1.

This is absolutely the only reason I do them. It also helps me to learn just a little bit about where players should go.

I go for my vaccine tomorrow.  Johnson & Johnson.   If I have troubles, I'll check in and give a report.  If I am never seen again here, its because I've become a zombie and will be seeking to consume brains.  And since brains are hard to find in these parts, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Which will explain why you are never seen here again. I get number 2 of Pfizer tomorrow.

I’ve used search firms before.  I think there are some people who do this for NFL teams.

I’d also mine my network for referrals.

To limit the search to people you already know is foolish and shortsighted.

Absolute must read...

Way too generous and more than fair to both men, but lots of insight and information that he took time to investigate and compile.

My expectations for the Eagles have never been lower.  Continued hope that the owner makes changes, before he ruins the time he has left to enjoy the team having success.

Was just gonna post the link. AF is gonna have fun defending Howie after this article.

Just a warning, it’s a long read, fellas.

Pats glory days are over , they will eventually be a competitive team again , but their success was much much more because of Brady , and not Belichick

Scam going back to NE is just hilarious.  With their cap space, they do that?  LOL

I really don't understand the Cam Newton move.
