Don't see how they could afford him.

Yeah if he is that good he is going to get paid like a top safety, which nowadays is over $14 million a year. It sounds like a luxury that, in a normal year, the Eagles might make a play for. But I don't see how they can pull that kind of a move off. The author of the tweet said to backload the contract but if another team with cap space frontloads their offer I don't see why he would come here.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't know how he can be top 5 in anything anymore. His days of pulling off "Howie" trades are further and further in the rear view mirror.  For Heavens sake he just traded the quarterback that he traded 2 1sts a 2nd and change to draft for a 3rd and conditional 2nd.  That alone takes him out of the top 5.  Then there's Golden Tate, Genard Avery, Darius Slay (sorry, not a good trade) and the hits keep on coming.

I know it isn't related to FA/trades or the draft but the continual kicking the can down the road has got to come in to the equation too.

There could be 100 article written about how bad Howie has been and all Lurie needs to see is TOP 5 in 1 article and he's content.

That Avery trade seemed bad at the time, at the very least a 4th was too much. Imagine if we still had that 4th this year - we have a big hole right now in the middle of our draft and could have picks in every round with multiple picks in rounds 3, 5 and 6 which we could use to move up in almost any round to get the players we want without creating large gaps between picks. We could have also had the luxury of trading a pick in one of those rounds to a desperate team that would give us a higher round pick next year.

I do not think building a coaching staff is comparable to building a sales staff. It's so hands-on and touchy-feely.

Is it unlike building a management staff where a prerequisite is change management skills, coaching skills, planning skills, skill at measuring progression, etc.?

If Sirianni and his staff are not skilled in change management, they are bound t fail.  They are taking players from colleges, other teams and, this year existing team players.  It is incumbent on them to learn what was in place last year to lessen the entirely new process, something that Doug did but Chip at which failed.  But with college players, not only is it learning them, but also managing the change from college player and system to professional player and the expectations and performance needed to succeed and deliver expected results, not just on the field but in managing their bodies and minds.

I know my business wasn’t the same as the Eagles but the skill set in the management area have some similarities.   Managing my staff wasn’t less hands on and touchy freely and my team manager level skill set wasn’t that greatly different than a position coach.

Now there are some real differences.  Your sales force, for example, aren’t really a team where the performance of one person is so dependent on the performance of ten others on the field.   But some manufacturing staff and construction crews are equally dependent on the performance of coworkers so there are areas where there are similarities.

Special teams ace but starter here.

Player 2 has entered the game

They would still need a starter or good draft pick. Not guys that don't play football in HS

Tylenol helped me with the same symptoms- but I did ache for most of the day following the 2nd dose.

When I finally am eligible, I guess I will just plan to go to bed when I get the second dose or single dose if it is J&J.  I am more than willing to live with that.

How the heck is everyone getting vaccinated already , you can’t all be over 65 or in medical field .

im still waiting here in Maryland, still in phase 1 , which is the above . I have contracts through my business, that have me coming in contact with potentially 100 people per day .

I did already have the virus late December , and as of 10 days ago I was loaded with the antibodies , how long that last , nobody had a clue .

I understand your confusion.  PA opened up all our J&J for teachers and when they are done, police, firemen and grocery workers are next in line for the J&J doses. Seems like the Governor should just open all vaccines for teachers and other frontline essential workers and use J&J to service rural areas where the freezer storage for the other two are not available but it is what it is.  Meanwhile, PA continues to give 7.5% of our doses to out of staters.  Is MD doing that too?  BTW, I am four miles from MD but would never use their shots because distribution is based on state population.

JJAW will have a spot only if Sirianni sees a role for him.

"Oh Howie will keep him on the roster to look good." Right. And have him not dress for 17 games?

JJAW's probably role would be H-back/WR hybrid.

That's not happened in the past?   How many games did JJAW dress this past year?   What about Avery?

I do enjoy watching you obsess about the H-back though.   It's never too long before you bring it up.

I’m 49 and had the J&J shot Thursday. I’m a PGA professional

Fulgham is bad.

Pretty green at his position. At OD he had a reputation for continually progressing but rumor is he has a tendency to be late for meetings etc.  Cut twice last offseason but got a taste of success.  He can decide if he wants to continue to work hard to improve or he wants another career than football.  Eagles had three WRs from the PS and street at the end of 2019.  One worked hard and became our slot WR.  One was the people’s champion and is still on the PS.  Both are not as athletically skilled as the third but he refused to improve his game in the NFL and continued with rounded routes depending on speed that isn’t elite at the NFL level.  The last is out of the NFL.  He should be a lesson for Fulgham.  He could be a starting or at least back up X. (His spider chart is like an overlay for Michael Thomas).  Or he could be seeking another profession next year.  This offseason is make or break for him.

I see Fulgham as the perfect X version of Ward in the slot.  Bad, occasionally productive when ignored.  A wr corps 2/3 consisting of those two is well on its way to being the worst in the NFL.

What did you see from Fulgham for you to say he is bad?

Yup.   Delaware County was a little slow in getting vaccines.  My parents (well over 65) had to drive out to King of Prussia to get their first shot on Thursday.

As for J&J, I was in the first round of the first group of teachers to get the vaccine.  I'm not sure what the criteria was for selecting me, or if it wasn't random.   I was not worried about when I'd get the vaccine given that I am in generally good health... but it is nice to have that behind me now.   Now I just need to get over the side effects.   The fever/chills are now gone and only a lingering headache remains.  Strangely, very little appetite today.  Forced down some breakfast at 10:30.  But that's all I've eaten today.  Likely I'll force down some dinner, too.

Of course but you got to get on Howies level here

Creed a lock as a 1st now?

In every other discipline — the vertical jump (33 inches), the broad jump (112 inches), the bench press (29 reps), the 3-cone drill (7.54 seconds) and the 5-10-5 shuttle (4.46 seconds), Humphrey’s numbers Friday would have ranked in the top five among the 52 total offensive linemen who attended last year’s combine in Indianapolis.

His shuttle drill — which was faster Friday than OU defensive back Tre Norwood’s 4.50

Reagor ran a 4.46

They're still over I think

I don't see how they do much of anything in FA unless the contracts are paid by future cap years

Yup, I am taking Tylenol.  Trying to get the fever under control, and the chills.   This was Johnson and Johnson.  Not sure if this is the same reaction as the other 2 vaccines.  But I figure I'll be fine in a day or so.  Glad its the weekend... but it unhinged my gardening plans for the weekend.

I cleared out all my vegetable/herb areas, trimmed off the winter leaves of the parsley,  Cut back the rosemary, sage, thyme and oregano (all made it through the winter in my raised garden where my planters from the past never did. .  Sowed some new seeds in the chive area.  I have had Cilantro and Basil in the hydroponic for the winter.  My peppers and tomatoes have been in the indoor planters since the beginning of March.   Expanding my bucket gardening this year from nine to sixteen. Adding zucchini and cucumbers.  Seriously considering building another raised gardening for carrots, beets, onions, asparagus and maybe some lettuce.
I am also going to try strawberries again. To defeat the damned rabbits I am going to try hanging strawberries.  They weren’t that expensive so I figured it is worth a try.  Fresh off the vine strawberries are so much better than the ones sold I the grocery. Hoping I can keep the birds away.

That’s proof that’s he’s a bad WR?

To the source of the original assessment, yes.

The WR position has a lot unknowns and lack of production, but having spent 4 draft picks on the position over 2 seasons, over the lack of picks at LB, S, DE and DT and under performance at CB, it's not a massive priority as the roster stands today.  Who is starting at LB on opening day? Who is CB2 on opening day?  Who is backup DE and DT on opening day?  Or starting at S?

I would love to draft a WR high, but the paucity of talent on D needs resolving. If there was a level of talent across the roster (and cap space), you can afford to let the draft fall to you . We have to accept the D is a largely talent and youth free zone and act accordingly.

The idiotic contract extensions and dummy years have really burned the team badly, and it's a sugar high they cannot get away from.

4.46 for an OL is wicked.  That’s agile for a big man.  7.54 three cone is also good for an OL.

One of the best CBs over the past 10 years.
