I don’t know how so many "wouldn’t be surprised if a WR takes the next step” when there hasn’t been a drafted WR developed since Maclin.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Because Doug didn't really develop anybody and most of the WRs are athletic.

Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff and Agholor go beyond Doug and didn’t develop either. Until someone actually develops on this team I wouldn’t bank on it being so easy.

You don't think Sanders (RB) is a playmaker?

Reagor?

Goedert?

Personally, I think we overrate Sanders.  As a RB, he’s in a grey area.  The nfl has 0-3 true RBs, at any given time, that justify building an offense around.  Sanders is not and never will be one of those.

Beyond that, does he make some nice plays?  Is he effective?  Is he a sturdy 3 down 16 game back?  Yes, yes, no.

IMO, in this league, that makes Sanders replaceable and far from a building block.  I’d try to trade him after fluffing his stats in 2021.

Goedert?  Definitely not a playmaker.

Reagor?  Maybe one day, certainly not a good start.  If we can bash Hamler, we can’t say anything nice about Reagor.

Just goes to show you how little building blocks this dysfunctional mess has to work with. I’m 37 and can’t remember a time a new Coach came in & had this little to work with.

funny part is most fans point to 26 & 88 as building blocks...not really.

tidbit for BIGEFLY:

Samuel George Ehlinger is an American football quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. He was a consensus four-star quarterback recruit coming out of Westlake High School in Austin, Texas where he broke school records held by Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Drew Brees and Nick Foles.

Young player development was excessively bad under Doug. Every 1st or 2nd round pick since 2017 except for Hurts has had injury issues. None of them came into the league injury prone. You can call it bad luck, but I sure as hell don't.

Ehlinger is a tough, athletic QB with a good arm who is very inconsistent. He never really developed during his stay with the Longhorns, don't know if it was mental or coaching.

Worth a shot in the 5th or 6th rd with a good coaching staff.

We suck

For the NFL coaches, yes it is.  Maybe HR Director, Dietary Director for NFL teams I imagine they do use them, but not for coaching searches.  They aren't needed for coaching searches

Yeah because meatheads think they should only interview people they already know.  Over time, organizations that have a broader candidate pool will gain the advantage.

But I understand most people are scared and resistant to changing the way something has been done for a long time.  That’s because most people are mediocre or worse.

I think the eagles best offensive weapon next year , isn’t on the team yet .

So you agree we are getting Chase or Pitts and if we trade back into the mid teens receiving also a 2nd and 3rd we’ll pick Bateman ?

I think an extra threat will make all better

If you think the eagles will have a 100% healthy O-line, it’s you failing to realize something.  No offense to you.  And literally, no offense for us.

Draft at least 1 IOL early, we need another OT ... I think but 2 no.1’s and Mailata should be enough ??? You guys got me questioning Lanes”s durability

If chase and pennei are gone, trade down and get bateman. Pick up two safeties later.

No superhuman powers yet?

I think that has to wait until a crisis exists that requires me to use it comes about.  Then I instinctually do something and voila, a superhero is born.

The only QB worth taking past the 1st/2nd rounds as a developmental/backup QB is Trask, imo.  The Eagles need a backup QB so if they don't sign one before the draft, Trask could be a decent option in the 3rd round or later.

No need to "rush" for a TE.  Goedert has shown enough already and he deserves at least one season to show what he can do as a #1 TE, imo.

Sanders' ceiling is a top 5 NFL RB, imo.  If he can stay healthy and go 100% for 15-16 games, he's a 1500 yards from scrimmage player.  Ideally, they find a big, N-S RB in the later rounds but no reason to spend a pick before the 6th round on a RB, imo.

A N-S RB would help the offense.  Going back to the SB season, the 2 RB's did a lot of good on moving the chains, RZ/GL offense, picking up good yardage.  Adding that element will be great.  Mid- to late round pick is good.  Even a FA will work.

TE is a not a must have.  But there is a special one, Pitts, in the draft.  If they go truly BPA, he could be the pick at #6.

From the need POV, a blue-chip CB gets my vote.  We have a few of CBs, but the young ones have not impressed and serviceable at best.  Slay is the proven one but he has not played at a high level and he is not young.  This is a good class for CB/DB, can add one at the top and a couple more in mid-rounds.

What is the broad candidate pool for NFL coaches?

I understand passive aggression and arrogance are difficult traits to change but it is because you are mediocre or worse.

Its that goddamn alcohol in the vaccine that is causing the cork in the site of injection... Its similar to the Cork you get from injecting Test Propionate, its a b*****H

Theres Wentz being a bad teammate again. Working out with his WRs in the offseason.

May be an image of 3 people, people standing and grass

Is still he throwing with a pigeon toe, whilst doing a split?

If that makes him a bad teammate, probably!

Man this Carson Wentz junk just won’t quit. I thought it was me (the blog told me I keep bringing it up) so I leave for a week and guess what we get this.

I guess let’s give Wentz the Teammate of the year for doing what every other starting QB in the league does.

How much of jump do you think Carson needs to be comeback player of the year. From statistically near the bottom.. to top 12? That’s doable on a good roster and if he gets his mechanics right.

Dak Prescott has it in the bag after that injury.
