You guys really buy the media hype. Like "Howie interfered with the roster decisions during the season," then you read the McLane article and they're talking about Howie making decisions concerning which players to recall due to injuries, which involves things like waiver rules, etc., which most HCs don't have a clue.

I'm sure they talked about both QBs when Sirianni interviewed, if he felt Hurts had no upside he'd have told them - because he'd be crazy to take the job if he sensed they were going to force an untenable QB on him. Doesn't mean he thinks Hurts is a franchise QB, just that there's potential to be coached up - look at Brissett the year before Reich when he started, then two years later under Reich - he didn't become a top QB but he did go from awful to passable.

And I'm sure Sirianni and his staff will have input into the draft, the way Stoutland has for years. Since he has a number of coaches with strong track records developing players, it only makes sense to get their feel as to which prospects they think are more likely to be coachable and fit the schemes. And that includes potential QBs. Johnson coached up Trask at Florida, I'm sure he'll give them his impression of his pro potential.

I don't think East Coast, West Coast, North, South matters...he just isn't a starting quarterback in the NFL let alone a top 5 pick.  Watch Bama WR highlights that played with Tua, Hurts and McCorkle and it's shocking just how awkward Tua looks throwing the ball.  

Hurts will be a better pro than Tua.

Lol, I'll never forget that one. We all thought he was coming here and then out of nowhere he signs with the Browns. Bad for them, good for us.

Remember Steve Everett and how he was supposed to be this stud center when the Eagles signed him and he just wasn't what he was.  Always bummed about that one too.

So the Eagles were basically loaned Goodwin for a year.

If that's a thing in the NFL now, can someone loan us a new GM for this upcoming draft?
