He’s become what delusional diehard Flyers fans are about the Flyers and prospects being repeatedly overrated over the years.

There was an article a long while back in the Inquirer or DN and it BASHED the Penguins for not having a farm system and how poor the Penguins are compared to how deep the Flyers were and the next decade would see the Penguins flounder and the Flyers dominate. I said to myself, they just jinxed this team and how many cups has Pitt won now?

The Flyers love to keep hope alive with all these untouchable prospects and blue liners for days only to never trade any of them for (insert star player here) and then never have them develop.  It's so frustrating.

Speaking of Pittsburgh, where's the resident Steelers fan been?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't think East Coast, West Coast, North, South matters...he just isn't a starting quarterback in the NFL let alone a top 5 pick.  Watch Bama WR highlights that played with Tua, Hurts and McCorkle and it's shocking just how awkward Tua looks throwing the ball.

Hurts will be a better pro than Tua.

In a Cade Mcnown was a better pro than Akili Smith sort of way.

This probably takes the Falcons out of a QB at #4, and means they might trade back for a team that wants one.

Lets go!

We will draft the next Tom Brady with that pick

I do.  I think he was the kind of guy who would struggle being that far away from family.

Tua never had the talent.  He’s one of the more overhyped QB prospects of the last 15 years.  Doesn’t have a strong arm, size, mobility, and he aims the football.

Worked great at Alabama; never much chance in the NFL

It's a 7th round pick, but getting a 7th round pick for Goodwin and getting under the cap with that move is kind of cool.

Well that's weird. Do we get any compensation?

We get their 7th round pick

Kind of telling when the best move of the offseason is the undoing of a Howie move.

You mean like that one flower in the Flyers thread who gets all bent when I called Hart overrated?

I’m talking about in general. I see it on a Twitter and fb with diehard Flyers fan. It’s ridiculous. Had someone try to explain why provrov is as good as hedberg and doughty. I love provrov but he’s not in that league. At least not yet

A trade: Bills are trading TE Lee Smith to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2022 late-round pick, per league source.

The trade we've all been waiting for.

I wonder what this mystery term is. So we swapped 6ths for no reason?

Traded a 6th for Desean and gave him a brand new contract for no reason.  Restructured Alshon Jeffery's contract multiple times, primarily for no reason.   Howie is the master of the stupid at the WR position.

He'll officially be cut tomorrow

Just now, LeanMeanGM said:

He'll officially be cut tomorrow or Thursday

wasnt sure if it happened and if it was being factored in to being under the cap.

You know what's funny? The way they restructured Jeffery's deal to bring his base down and post June 1st him has a clause that if he's not cut by 3/18 then $27M becomes fully guaranteed. Watch him forget to file the paper work.

Oh geez, count Pitts and Chase out by 6

Right in Howies wheelhouse, day three picks. 😎

Makes more sense now that we get a pick back.

Him restructuring his base salary is, but cutting him won't get any additional savings until 6/1. They have to carry his and Maliks current cap number until then.
