Falcons are the wildcard in top 5. Lawrence, Wilson, Sewell then who knows what they do. If they don’t take Pitts he goes next.

Parsons has always been the perfect pick for the Falcons at #4.  They have nothing at LB other than Jones.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Anthony Miller as part of trade for Ertz?

I think some of you should prepare yourself for Howie taking a QB at 6

Half of my brain submits to this logic

Still think Miami ends up with Watson so Houston goes QB at 3

In that case wouldn't Houston take back Tua ?

Apparently Marquise Goodwin never took a physical or signed his restructured contract with the Eagles. Per NJ.com

Is that article right that Philly gets a 2021 seventh.  That is actually not horrible for 11 moves down in the sixth.

You know what's funny? The way they restructured Jeffery's deal to bring his base down and post June 1st him has a clause that if he's not cut by 3/18 then $27M becomes fully guaranteed. Watch him forget to file the paper work.

He and M Jackson will be cut one minute after the start of the new league year.

That's a pretty big reach though on top of drafting for need. They should just go for one of the o-lineman if they don't go QB or trade back. Pitts almost seems like overkill on that team. Maybe they go for one of the CB's as a dark horse pick

That's what has been reported. I guess the trade was never official so we get a 7th rounder this year.

But only their restructured money is saved now, the total cap savings doesn't take effect until 6/1

Bills don’t have a 4th round pick but they have 2 5’s.

How about their 2022 3rd.  That’s the equivalent of a 2021 4. Frankly, I would rather get a 2022 4 than a 2021 pick.

If both are gone and Wilson is there....woooeeee.. Howie better bend someone over and give it to them dry....

I am sure he will. He will give it to the fans by selecting Wilson.

That’s fine.  Enough to sign Johnston and maybe Sudfeld to vet minimums then call it quits in free agency. (Sudfeld should be cheap and Eagles need some sort of backup QB as the have none at this point.)

What?  Parsons is a top 10 overall prospect on TDN, CBS, PFN; he’s the best defensive prospect in the draft, and the Falcons defense has sucked for how many years?

Underrated corner

That defense is going to be a problem. A part of me just wants to go heavy on that side of the ball this offseason. Anthony Walker Jr and Mike Hilton would be a nice couple of young players for Gannon.

Maybe, I just initially thought 4 was a little rich.

I don’t think I remember going into a season with less hope. This team is old, expensive, won’t win many games, and doesn’t have a franchise QB.

I wish all the restructuring wouldn’t have been done. Howie harmed future years... for what? We needed to get back to the old Andy and Joe Banner philosophy this offseason.

IMO, a project LB at #4 overall is a pretty big reach.

Are you sure the word "project” means what you think it does?

I'm looking at Eric Wilson from the Vikings. Has 3 things I'm (both rationally and irrationally) biased toward:

1. Great athleticism. Long speed, agility, burst, he's got it all athletically.

2. Went to Cincinnati. Eagles have a good hit rate with Cincinnati players.

3. Hall of Fame flex game. We just lost Jalen Mills for god's sake.

Only downside is short arms which decreases his reliability as a tackler. Whatever.

Everybody that was on an NFL team last year will be a year older this year. Even our youngest players are going to be a year older. Who ... freakin ... cares ... ? Right now our oldest players are some of the NFL's best players (Kelce, Brooks, Johnson, Graham, Cox). Pretty much every team is doing what Howie did with contracts. It's the NFL norm. Personally, I'm not worried about your level of hope. I'm looking forward to see how this team comes together under a new staff. Even with the roster we have and all the injuries and bad play we saw last year, we were "in" virtually every game. I'll actually be shocked if we aren't at least a .500 team next season.

I think it’s too high but I don’t think I would call it a reach

Anybody not think that within the first two weeks after Sirianni and his staff were hired that they met to discuss base schemes and then met with Howie, Weidl and his staff about the schemes and what kind of players they look for to succeed?   Didn’t think so.  But they didn’t meet with us.  We can take an Afan type of approach and look at their backgrounds and mentors and from that make some reasonable assumptions but given that this is new ground for all the coordinators except Steichan and Sirianni and both of them were OCs under offensive HCs. In other words, this draft based on who might fit is a bit of a guess.  Thinking there might be some input in all teams’ drafts from position coaches, we (at least I) make assumptions but those could be completely off base.

I would add that our second year players and rookies from last year have NFL experience now and may well take the next step.
