I was referring to Avant in the comparison.  Ward did lead the team in Redzone TD's.  For better or worse (I say worse), he got the red zone targets.

And he's our reception and TD leader. Says what a sad state of affairs our receiving core is in right now. Probably the absolute worst in the nfl. Along with the linebackers, safety's and the corners can't be far behind. This team. What a joke we turned into.

Never forget the block he made on D ossie (?) at miracle at the Meadowlands 2. Absolutely crushed him and IIRC game himself a concussion. Avant is one of my all time favorite eagles even if he was a 4th WR at best. Was at the bucs game where he made the one handed sideline catch

Yeah that is a bad loss even for a mediocre team like the Flyers.  However, they once lost 12-0 to the Blackhawks in 1969, so not a record breaking loss.

I won't be disappointed in FA because I just don't expect much at all.  The draft could shatter my dreams but FA won't.  Actually, I've already dimmed my expectations for 2022 Free Agency as well.  I think due to the contract shenanigans of the past few days FA won't be fun again until 2023.

I wish the Eagles would take a hint that it’s ok to have more than one token fast Z wr in the offense at a time.

Now, Samuel has a lot of work to do as a WR.  So this isn’t some dangerous duo just yet.  But it’s an interesting move with upside for them.

That’s if they nail the next two drafts. That’s not a given. More likely as they pick higher each round but still not a given
