Dolphins were never going to go WR at 3, so they needed to address it on free agency.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This team just needs to tank this season. If everything goes right, they will be lucky to win 5 games this season. If you need to bring in another QB for competition to push your starter, you probably don't have a real starter.

Why waste a 2nd round pick on a QB AND sign another one in a cap strapped year?

How old are you?  20?  Serious question.  If you don't think this fan base will turn on them after 2 really bad seasons....you're sorely mistaken.

And BTW.  Who da fook is this guy - Album on Imgur

I hope for your sake the concept of supply and demand doesn't come up in your produce interview tomorrow.   But if you'd like to make a bet on whether there will be a waitlist for season tickets or not in the next two years, just name the amount - I'm in.  Though for anything over $100, I will require proof your ability to actually pay.

Huh. Haven't seen that one anywhere. Maybe a couple moves, like encouraging them to cut an aging player who wasn't picked up by any other teams when the Eagles were headed for a 3-13 season to add a young player. Rumors about JJAW. That's about it.

That can't be an honest statement.  There have been many articles written in the last couple of months about this.

"encouraging them to cut an aging player on a 3-13 team" - really????  Just leaving out that the head coach was not even aware that the owner made the cut????  Minor irrelevant detail, right?

An owner making draft picks for a team.  Minor detail, right?  Especially when it undermines and destroys a franchise QB that had just been signed to a huge contract.

Quick search, here are a few things to catch up on...

There are a ton more.  This has also been discussed at length in numerous podcasts.  There are countless other articles exploring Roseman that touch on these issues.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know well that it has been widely reported and revealed that Lurie is involved in everything, makes most of the personnel decisions, "influences" people to make the decisions he wants, and is basically everything you do not want (and did not think you had) in an owner.  He is the furthest thing from a true executive.  He is not the trusted steward of the franchise, as many including myself thought.  He does not hire and empower the best people.  He hires people to suit his immediate whims at the moment, in all likelihood people who affirm his own beliefs, and he runs the Eagles himself in a very hands on fashion.  His worst instincts appear to have been empowered by SB 52, resulting in even more meddling and decision making, with disastrous results.  Lurie is "Faux Jerry Jones" - Jerry Jones, but out of the spotlight, and without the accountability.

Have they signed anyone else at WR? Fuller has talent but guy can never stay healthy for long.

There was a waiting list in the 70's year's long. I have little doubt the Eagles won't sell out, regardless of a few down years.

Them or the Bears, Niners, Patriots move way up and offer a motherload of picks,

Not sure Miami wants to fall to 12, 15 or 20. Would have to be a kings ransom for him. They have pick 18. I feel like they likely want to stay in the top 10

That's not entirely accurate.  The waiting list for the absolute cheapest PSLs is extremely long.  Anything suite/club level, and the more premium seats, someone could buy tomorrow.

Of course there will be.  Plus NFL owners don't even when they don't sell out.  It's a small fraction of their overall revenues and the value of the franchise is going to continue to keep increasing exponentially regardless.  But sure, this 4for4 guy thinks he knows better.

Well, in 2023 you’ll need Amazon prime to watch the Eagles on Thursday night. Amazon got exclusive rights to it.

The club/suite level is mostly corporate purchased.  They don't care whether the team is good or bad.

Will still be on TV for local markets.

Demand for Eagles tickets is high, it started high.  There is a large and passionate fan base.

However, you can read into things more by looking at aftermarket ticket demand, and remember these teams cut BS deals with aftermarket vendors to sell a portion of those seats, and also merchandise sales.

Unfortunately, even if this stuff is down, it won't mean much and certainly won't mean much to the owner/GM.  He won't care enough about that.  What he is going to care about at this point in his life, and where the Eagles are at value wise along with where he is financially, is the success of the team and his legacy.

So.... make no mistake... he will care if the team continues to suck, and he will make tons of changes as he has done.  The biggest, and possibly final, change will be the hardest.  Looking himself in the mirror and coming to the realization that HE is the problem, and that he needs to step back.  He needs to hire and empower someone to run the personnel side of the team, and only serve as a sounding board and provide feedback, but to stop short of meddling.  The "Collaborative Approach" hasn't worked, because his voice and his lackey's voice have had far too much weight.  IF he does this... he might just enjoy his remaining years with the team having a lot more success.

I have a hard time believing they will take a QB again in the 1st round.

I think Miami would trade out of 3 with Carolina. I’m expecting it if Carolina doesn’t get a deal done for watson. The value at 3 for a QB needy team is going to be too much value for them to pass up.

Of course us California folks always will put in a plug for In N Out....the drive thru is always a 20-30 wait regardless of location

Will Fuller to Miami.

Now they just need Pitts or Chase and their offense is in really nice shape.

There's not much the Eagles can do with futility that will actually hit Lurie in the wallet.  The demand for season tickets is vastly overstated, but that doesn't actually matter; they'll still get all the butts that are allowed in the seats.  That will never change.  A more nationwide decline in the popularity of the NFL may or may not hurt, depending on your viewpoint on that, but nothing intrinsic and performance-related to the Eagles is going to make a difference there.

Lurie's ego is more fragile (and important) than his bank account.  You've all seen the way this guy talks about himself in press conferences, the way he delivers unending monologues.  This is not someone who has the indifference or skin to handle being flamed in the media or boo'd by hometown fans in his own stadium.  In all his years as the owner, he has NEVER been under a harsh spotlight, until now.

My sleepers in each bracket.

Happy Meal Region:  Zaxby's-  Some really good chicken fingers.  Really popular in the south.

Big Menu Region:   Culver's.  Wisconsin based.  Stellar ice cream options.  Really good fresh, inexpensive burgers (butter burgers)  Solid joint.  (I love WAWA in this bracket and think they are seriously underrated, but I'm biased)

No Sunday's Region:  Texas Roadhouse. #2 seed.  Not really a sleeper.   Our daughter worked there when she was in high school.  Good for a chain.  Better than Ruby or Applebees.  Decent steaks.  And they work on Sunday.  Wrong region.  Rest of the bracket is pretty weak.

Welcome to Chili's Region:  Cookout.  What a deal.  Really good, homemade quality burgers.  Good shakes.  Drive up and either sit in the car or eat it on one of the 2 picnic tables they have.  Just better hope Dirty Mike and the Boys didn't have a soup kitchen on that table the night before.  Definitely a staple here in the south.

Baja Fresh was not seeded.  Maybe they have gone away.  Great tacos.

The bracket rankings are complete trash. I mean Wawa is a 16 seed and Taco Bell is a 2? Outback is a 2 and Fleming's is an 8? I mean that's just terrible.  It's like they have never eaten at any of these restaurants.

That’s not too bad, actually.
