Apparently the Giants signed Galladay.   Geez we have a peewee WR group compared to the rest of the NFCE.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Very happy that Fuller goes to Miami. That should take WR off the board for them. OL now staring them in the face.

Put me down for a Mcdonald's loss in round 1.  I hate everything about that chain.

Great news.  This is a big step towards the #1 overall pick for us in 2022.

That’s not too bad, actually.

So you are saying it was a cheap backup QB without having to spend a 2nd rounder? I don’t believe it

MM would be a great signing. Possible starter here.

Well, in 2023 you’ll need Amazon prime to watch the Eagles on Thursday night. Amazon got exclusive rights to it.

Another reason my Prime subscription is worth the cost.

They didn’t sign him.

Who the F brought up "get the papers, get the papers” earlier this morning?   Because that is what Siriani is.  Right. "Nicky Two Times”.  Right.

Right?

I posted a meme of that when he did the first press conference lol. He’s so much worse than Doug and I though he sucked.

Yeah he’s going to visit tonight. Visited the bears on Wednesday

I’m on board with Marcus Mariota. He would be a perfect guy to have here.

That new deal is around 312 million per team per year, the cap will be at 250 in 3 or 4 years

Not bad but I still don't want any part of it

Wouldn’t want any real competition for Hurts.  That’s not very QB Factory of you.

Especially when howie said this today

O man, if Trubisky is considered real competition then I am sadder than I thought

Demand for Eagles tickets is high, it started high.  There is a large and passionate fan base.

However, you can read into things more by looking at aftermarket ticket demand, and remember these teams cut BS deals with aftermarket vendors to sell a portion of those seats, and also merchandise sales.

Unfortunately, even if this stuff is down, it won't mean much and certainly won't mean much to the owner/GM.  He won't care enough about that.  What he is going to care about at this point in his life, and where the Eagles are at value wise along with where he is financially, is the success of the team and his legacy.

So.... make no mistake... he will care if the team continues to suck, and he will make tons of changes as he has done.  The biggest, and possibly final, change will be the hardest.  Looking himself in the mirror and coming to the realization that HE is the problem, and that he needs to step back.  He needs to hire and empower someone to run the personnel side of the team, and only serve as a sounding board and provide feedback, but to stop short of meddling.  The "Collaborative Approach" hasn't worked, because his voice and his lackey's voice have had far too much weight.  IF he does this... he might just enjoy his remaining years with the team having a lot more success.

When you're tied for 7th with Balt and Pitt for the most playoff appearances since 2000, and have the ring, I don't think one bad year is going to throw you for a loop.

They expected to rebuild, they knew the cap was going to take off early this decade (just when they're ready to compete with a cheap young roster in 2023 with the cap overhang gone).

They gambled they could keep the window open and it almost worked. Howie just didn't count on a COVID 2021 Cap. Makes the transition a little more painful.

I never have been so down on this team. I actually am all on tank mode next year already. The worse and more embarrassing it is. the better. It's the only way we can get Lurie to slide his head out of Howie's ass.

I'm there with you.  Maybe 1998, prior to bringing in Reid?

This feels worse, though, because I know there is no help on the Horizon.  There is a clown show making decisions, and hoping for it to improve seems quite futile after the last few offseasons and drafts.

1-15 this season

Just let the 1 win come against Dallas in a late-season must-win game for them.

Yup, the clown show in Lurie/Howie is exactly that. Can't depend on anything from this duo besides getting worse which is happening every year and continuing to plummet every day

That can't be an honest statement.  There have been many articles written in the last couple of months about this.

"encouraging them to cut an aging player on a 3-13 team" - really????  Just leaving out that the head coach was not even aware that the owner made the cut????  Minor irrelevant detail, right?

An owner making draft picks for a team.  Minor detail, right?  Especially when it undermines and destroys a franchise QB that had just been signed to a huge contract.

Quick search, here are a few things to catch up on...

There are a ton more.  This has also been discussed at length in numerous podcasts.  There are countless other articles exploring Roseman that touch on these issues.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know well that it has been widely reported and revealed that Lurie is involved in everything, makes most of the personnel decisions, "influences" people to make the decisions he wants, and is basically everything you do not want (and did not think you had) in an owner.  He is the furthest thing from a true executive.  He is not the trusted steward of the franchise, as many including myself thought.  He does not hire and empower the best people.  He hires people to suit his immediate whims at the moment, in all likelihood people who affirm his own beliefs, and he runs the Eagles himself in a very hands on fashion.  His worst instincts appear to have been empowered by SB 52, resulting in even more meddling and decision making, with disastrous results.  Lurie is "Faux Jerry Jones" - Jerry Jones, but out of the spotlight, and without the accountability.

Do you remember Ray Rhodes by 1998? Then you'd know why Lurie would have stepped in. Rhodes spent that season looking like someone had stolen his children.

Johnson started 3 games, had 2 catches, was cut and no one picked him up that season, end of career. For a 3-13 team.

"I would not report the Eagles have internal unanimity on Hurts as QB1 but sources say the boss, Jeffrey Lurie, has instructed his group to prioritize making Hurts successful in 2021 as opposed to creating a true competition."

Gee, there's disagreement that's paralyzing the organization, so the owner/CEO comes in and provides clear direction. Shocker. Or is even playing a pre-draft game. Same way Howie keeps saying they want competition at QB while holding #6. So what are the Eagles doing to do in the draft?

Basically the same two stories repeated over and over surrounded by a lot of baseless speculation about maybe he  . . . without sources or even "unnamed sources."

If Lurie has been intervening on a consistent basis, stories with details would have come out long ago, a lot of personnel have left over the years, some with axes to grind. They'd have jumped all over it.
