Don't know much about him. 3 interceptions in 2018, 6 interceptions in 2019 but 0 interceptions every other season of his career including last year.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I want to say Minnesota franchise him last year. I was listening to Sirius with pat kirwin they thought he would be a buy low option for a team on a one year contract that could wind up being a good signing. I believe Zach berman in a podcast recently said he had ties to one fo the new coaches on defense

Whoa. Nice cheap safety. Safe to say we’re going the Zimmer route on defense, eh?

Nope.  Howie should have had a clue that you don't bring in old players at high prices to 'extend a window'.  Just stupid.  That's why Howie is a bum.  Well, that and his draft history.   Oh, and his contract structures.

Unfortunately Howie has made so many bad contracts that this is all he can really do. I hope he can figure out how to do a better job of drafting. With the Wentz cap hit coming off the books in 2022 he will definitely have more cap flexibility at that time and hopefully that will allow him to dump more bad contracts or be more involved with free agency. The main thing here is he needs to start hitting in these drafts and stop wasting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks on guys who need to develop more instead of guys who can plug in and play.

Anthony Harris is a legitimately good safety. This is a good contract.

Band-aid.

I like him but he's 29. Why sign a 29 year old on a 1 year deal... Are we hoping be plays well, let him go in FA to recoup the comp pick?

But he's 29 🤷‍♂️

For $5M it makes sense to sign a good player at the age who also likely knows the defense.

Nah... he's been kicking the can for years.  This isn't new for Howie, this is just par for the course with him.   He restructured Alshon one year after signing him, same with Brooks, and Lane... and so many others.   Howie is just pushing off to the future.  He's using tomorrow's credit card to pay for last year's splurge purchase... same as he has for years.

He was chasing the ring, but it’s already put him in a bad spot. Personally I don’t get why they keep holding onto guys like Graham or Ertz. Move on from these players and stop giving them extensions.

He was chasing the ring by running backwards.   Not a very effective method.

Having a DB who can help other players line up is really valuable to help the young guys.

29 at safety is fine. If he performs well, he could be here for many years.

I don’t know but he’s going to cost the Mills comp pick

I brought up Walker earlier who's only 27 and was told no, I'm basically a dumb ass. But Harris at 29 is ok... 🤷‍♂️

I would love to go back the past 3 years to see what comp picks we had and whom we drafted. Doubt any of them amounted to anything

Well if he struggled in 2020 due to the lack of talent around him then he came to the right place to bounce back.

Not many of the regular picks have amounted to anything, so it's all about the same.

Yes that's true too
