This is all more the reason that you can't walk out of the 1st round without one of Chase/Pitts/Waddle.

What's your take on Reagor?  I think he is the best of the bunch (just a bad first year), but he isn't a game changing player.  We need something on the other side.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I'm curious to see if Reagor is way faster this year with a full offseason to train for it rather than last year where he bulked up for the combine and had little time before the season to get back to himself.

If he can get his college speed back that'd be a very nice addition for our offense.

Or maybe he's just pulling a Maclin on us.

Haven't seen it posted in here.  Maybe it was.  But back when Chicago was in the mix for Wentz, Foles was included in the deal.

Apparently though Wentz went elsewhere,  the foles to eagles part of the deal remains alive.

If anyone cares

Welcome to yesterday.   There are a few pages of the same ol same ol Foles stuff.  BGN ace "reporter" BLG was on top of it.

Is the next photo him fumbling?

Don't worry guys, Galloday isn't even all that good. Maddox can cover him...

Not trying to be a dick, but I could't give two craps about his drafts with the Jets. I care about his drafts with the Eagles which were terrible and for some reason fans only blame Howie when the fact is Howie and Douglas both deserve blame.

I'm saying Howie was in charge and his boss. Is it a coincidence he leaves and his first draft was a good one?

As far as the Eagles WR position group goes:

Fulgham -- he was productive immediately on being activated to the roster vs SF.  For a 5-game stretch he caught 29-of-44 targets for 435 yards and 4 TD -- true WR1 numbers.  He then had 2 really poor showings against the Giants and Browns, catching only 2-of-12 targets for 16 yards total.  His last 5 games he only had 11 targets total, 7 catches for 88 yards.  After that 5-game stretch at the start, he never caught a pass longer than 19 yards and did not score a TD.  Among the multitude of reasons Doug was fired is he couldn't figure out how to get Fulgham re-started after his initial hot start cooled off.  Yes, putting Jeffery into the lineup was a huge factor and a prime example of poor talent evaluation both he and Schwartz suffered from

Reagor -- only played in 11 games; his contribution would have been somewhat better if he'd been healthy.  He certainly suffered from the lack of offseason program and looked like a player just thrown out there, rather than a rookie who was truly ready to perform.  He showed flashes, but wasn't used in the manner he needs to be.  Reagor needs to be schemed into open space to be truly effective.  He can be a home-run target but both Wentz and Hurts had difficulty putting the ball on him when he got behind defenses -- perhaps he's not great at getting to the proper spot at the top of his routes.  He needs manufactured touches -- jet sweeps, hitches, screens -- rather than using him as a conventional WR.  He can still be quite good.

Ward -- my initial impression is JAG; he shows up for work every day, does a few good things, reliable -- but what are you really getting?  Jordan Matthews was a productive slot WR for 3 years, gave 12 yards per catch, 65% catch rate.  Agholor in 2018 was 11.5 yards per catch, 66% catch rate.  In Ward's two seasons he's giving an 8.3 yards per catch and a 68% catch rate.  Those yards per catch numbers are a big dropoff even from what Agholor and Matthews were giving out of the slot -- they're RB numbers, and most RB will have a better catch rate.  Ward isn't the biggest of the Eagles WR problems, but having him leading the team in WR snaps and targets is a huge problem in itself.

JJAW -- there was quite a bit of talk after his rookie season whether any player in NFL history had ever had a career in the league after as poor a rookie showing as JJAW had.  He followed that up by being only half as productive in his second season.  It's kind of hard to figure why he's still on the roster at this point, for a team who's had to do a lot of contract restructures and can-kicking just to get under the salary cap -- it's only a $540K savings to cut him, but every penny counts.  Why pay this guy $1.3M for 2021?  I'd be quite surprised if he isn't cut in training camp.  If Sirianni and Steichen can make JJAW a useful player, that would be worthy of a scientific paper.

Hightower and Watkins -- I'll lump these guys together as the #168 and #200 pick in the NFL draft, it's almost impossible that both these guys will have a future with the Eagles beyond this season.  Hightower flashes the ability to get deep behind NFL CB, but catching the ball is an adventure for him.  10 catches in 29 targets is just bad.  Sirianni will have to take a very close look at him in training camp and assess if there's anything there other than the ability to get behind coverage.  It's hard to know what the Eagles have in Quez Watkins; he only got 13 targets all year with 7 catches -- showed brief flashes.  Currently between the two I would guess Watkins makes the roster over Hightower, just because he doesn't drop the ball as much.

In the absence of any WR signing in FA the Eagles will be drafting WR with one of their first 4 picks.  Can any one WR addition make this a solid group?  Doubtful; but for 2021 there will be no Jeffery, and no D-Jax.  Reagor, Ward, and Fulgham will be at the top of the depth chart, which means WR is at/near the top of the draft board.

So the guy who ran the scouting department and set the board has zero accountability for poor drafts while he was there, got it.

Foles coming home yet?

Reich's system was WR friendly.

2017:  Jeffrey (27), Smith (28), Agholor (24), Hollins (24), Ertz (27), Celek (32), Burton (26)

2018:  Hilton (29), Grant (28), Rogers (24), Inman (29), M Johnson (24), Ebron (25), Doyle (28), Alie-Cox (25)

2019:  Hilton (30), Pascal (25), M Johnson (25), Rogers (25), Cain (23), Campbell (22), Doyle (29), Ebron (26), Alie-Cox (26)

2020:   Hilton (31), Pascal (26), Pittman (23), Campbell (23), M Johnson (26), Dulin (23), Doyle (30), Alie-Cox (27), Burton (29)

HIlton's last big year was 2018, Jeffrey 2017, other than that no "#1 WRs" - can make it work with WR by committee. Won't make WR a free agent/draft priority.

Ebron was dinged up in 2019, rebounded with Pitt in 2020.

Didn't put a lot of resources into WR/TEs, Pittman #33, Campbell #59, lots of UDFAs/SFAs, both inherited and acquired:

Pascal (6'2 214), M Johnson (Eagle PS) (6'1 207), Rogers (6'0 184), Cain (6'2 202), Dulin (6'1 215), Alie-Cox.

So the PS guys from last year will get a real shot at making the roster, Burnett, Wilson, Butler, Jackson. JJAW and Fulgham will get long looks in camp.

Ward may be in trouble, don't see a lot of short guys with average speed. Definitely like taller WRs with average speed (kind you can stock up on as UDFAs).

Eagles will definitely carry 3 TEs/H-backs.

There are guys on here who were happy to see Dallas get Amari Cooper because they traded a 1st and wouldn't be able to sign Dak.🙄

We should prepare ourselves for the possibility that Wentz’s career takes a turn for the better from here.  It’s entirely possible.

Hard to get much worse than last season.

2016 #8, #77, #100, 2017 #12, 2018 #64

#8 was obtained with #13, Maxwell, Alonso

2017 #14 for Bradford

So the net cost was 2016 #13, #77, #100, 2018 #64, because clearing Bradford, Maxwell and Alonso off the books freed cap room to sign better players

We get back 2021 #84, 2022:  20? 50?

And we got 5 years of Wentz at starting QB and a SB.

There is no sugar coating it , wentz was a bust in philly .

BS. We won a SB that would not have been possible without him playing at an MVP level.

#Giants have the following top 10 paid positions after the Golladay signing
2nd highest paid DT
6th highest paid WR
7th highest paid CB
9th highest paid RB
2nd highest paid K
4th highest paid P

He didn’t win anything , foles  did, there is no guarantee wentz wins it

and trust me , the eagles don’t consider his time there a success
