I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

God we have a coach that can not speak. Gonna be a long 2 years. He may be dumb enough to outsmart the philly media.

Hmmm...

There is no sugar coating it , wentz was a bust in philly .

Super bowl says otherwise. We don't get there without him.

Falcons are going defense or trading out; I’m not sure Devonta Smith would get Tua’s vote to be the MIA pick  😂

F no

As soon as he throws a pick, incomplete, or gets sacked, fans will scream for the backup

Leave the last impression of him as the SB MVP alone

I would take Foles as a backup to someone good.

If Sewell is there at 6 I don't see how we don't pick him. For months I've been hearing he's a generational tackle. Even with Dillard and Mailata I think we still would pick Sewell

Sure he helped , I’m only saying , pretty sure the eagles expected a lot more out of the Wentz draft pick , a lot .

and nobody within that organization is saying , what a success Wentz was for us

Back to trolling? You have no idea what anyone in the organization thinks. Pretty sure they're glad to have the trophy in their case.

Worked on me — I’d be discouraged if Gannon even wanted to talk to him.  Singleton is a better player than Anzalone

I assume he’d be a league minimum type of guy. If he he shows well, he stays. If not, he’s an easy cut.

Before that Matt Ryan extension I would’ve said Atlanta was in play for a quarterback but looking at his contract after they restructured it he’s going to be back in 2022. His cap number is 48 million and his dead money is 40.4 million so they’re gonna have to restructure that next year just so they can get it down and that’s gonna bring him back for 2023.

I have a hard time seeing Atlanta draft a quarterback at 4 that’s going to sit on the bench for likely three years until they could get out of Matt Ryan’s contract. Or at least two years until they can actually trade him or cut him. The eagles did it with wentz at 33 million cause of the circumstance of him wanting out. I don’t see Ryan wanting out nor atlanta really pushing him out or a situation like in Philadelphia. He’s actually played well the past 3 years. He’s not their issue. He’s averaged 66%, 4657 yards, 29 tds and 11 ints and a QB rating of 98. And Some of the stats look worse because they had no defense and you had to continuously try to play from behind or keep up in scoring so he took chances

"Nelson...when he was here was the best route runner that we had...He doesn't have great hands, everyone knows this...He had a lot of off-target throws as well...A guy who doesn't have great hands and a guy who doesn't throw accurate passes, they don't marry well...When you throw hard, you don't have room for error; you gotta be accurate...[An inaccurate, hard thrower] is gonna isolate you and the receivers that you can have on your team." -- Jason Avant on Agholor and why he was so inconsistent with Wentz.

A great description of one of my chief criticisms of Wentz and why there is SOME room for optimism for Reagor and the other holdover pass catchers heading into 2021.

One thing Hurts does well is throw a "soft" ball with touch.

He can also play guard. He was one of the best guards in HS before he got to Oregon. He allows you if kelce retires to move seumalo to center and he can play LG until lane goes or if mailata/dillard doesn’t pan out.

Foles got benched for Mitchell and Gardner Minshew.  Since he "out-dueled Brady”.  I like Nick.  But to compare him to Brady and Mahomes was dumb.

You’re right. Foles beat Brady in the Super Bowl. Brady best Mahomes.

Foles >>> Brady >>>> Mahomes

BDN LFG!!!

Wait Brady played defense for the Patriots?

5’ 10” and 185 pounds is a little smaller than I would like, to be honest.  However 4.42 forty speed, which shows on film, 36” vertical, which shows on film and a 6.63 three cone is the type of athleticism I want to see in a corner. E45 is obsessed with speed at WR at times.  I feel the same about CBs.  I need to see tight feet, fluid hips and speed.  No more 4.6 corners, please. I want to draft a corner even if they sign Jackson and especially if it is a short contract.  Howie’s mantra has been fill holes in free agency and draft for the future.  No more glaring hole on this team than the secondary.  Well he has signed two one year Ss and a third DT and is hosting a CB.  I will be shocked if we don’t see a QB signed soon too.  I expect Sudfeld to be it.

Sherman is a 4.6 corner. Depends on the player and the scheme.

One 4.6 career succeeding does not extend to all 4.6 CBs.  No thanks.

Depends on the scheme. Samuel was small with average speed, put him on an Island, uh oh, give him deep help so he could trust his instincts, interception machine.

Gannon may run something similar to Seattle, where he wants long CBs with average speed who can press and break on the ball, not speed balls to lock up one on one.

I am not a Wentz fan and I don't think he will ever be even 50% of what he was between 2017-2018 but if you can't admit he was a MAJOR reason we won the Super Bowl, you are lying to yourself.

It’s useless.

I love Nick Foles. I loved him when he was at Arizona because that was my alma mater. Talk to coaches and got to play basketball with him at the Mckale center and shoot the breeze with him. he is an awesome guy. However if you look at his career starting his senior year in Arizona it’s always been the same with Nick Foles. His senior season first five games of the year was on fire. The next five games he was cold and went into a slump. The last two games a year picked it up again.

The reason why he wasn’t a first round pick even though before the season he was projected by many as first round pick (as ESPN  flew him in to do all the shows from Bristol which was huge for Arizona football) was because he was wildly inconsistent that year and somewhat his junior year. He has some of the biggest highs of any player I’ve ever seen. He also has had some of the lows/bad performances I’ve seen in his career as well.  He is what he is. When he gets hot he could be as good as anybody. But when he’s not he could be as bad as anybody. He’s not consistent. That’s why he’s never been a consistent starter in the league

A friend asked me this question today, so figured I'd toss it out. If you could trade just the #6 pick for Watson today, before the investigation into his sexual assaults are finished... would you do it?

If the investigations are true he will obviously at a minimum be suspended for quite a while at the very least, if not have deep legal issues.

On the flip side if he's not guilty you get an elite QB at about as "cheaply" as you can get one considering without these accusations he nets a minimum of 3 first rounders and probably a good player.

DeShaun Watson is so talented it’s be hard for even the Eagles to F___ up.

Hopefully he doesn’t get into any gang wars cause you know he was released for gang ties years ago 🙄

Look forward to him magically looking the healthiest he's looked in years now that he's out from this black cloud of an organization.
