I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I simultaneously want to draft him, but would be terrified to do so.

They also had a superstar WR as their first option. A top 10 #2 WR as their 2nd option. Also had a pretty good run game(3rd option)

I'm all about depth. But I want the Superstar Wide receiver first. Id also like the superstar WR2 first too.

I agree about the WO , my point was about trading DG just because you drafted Pitts

you have to be more than 1 deep at positions , especially skilled positions

Thought exercise... if you could trade the #6 pick for Travis Kelce or George Kittle, would you pass because we already have Goedert?

I watched it.. 3 times I think. But having a Heisman Trophy finalist, first rounder,  as your QB apparently doesn't help.

We have NO QB, no WR1, no WR2(maybe reagor) Our defense is one of the worst in the leagues and we want a Tight End, which ironically is probably the only position that we have decent talent at.

Of course it helps with production, but it doesn’t make Pitts a better player than he is. Pitts was the star of that offense. Saban knows. Then again, everyone but you seems to know that.

traded down twice - rebuilt the whole defense.

Yah I think his is the right answer. RD3 is when I'd feel good about pulling the trigger.

I just imagine him in KC's offense as a slot though.

42.5 vert for Moore

And  he can squat 600

too large an assumption/projection to make for a college kid

but also, i would indeed pass on that trade. makes no sense with where we are in the process of building a team.

Ok, and Pat Frieremuth never played with a Heisman trophy finalists or a competitive team against Saban.

Unsure what you dont get. I think Pitts is over rated because of the talent around it. I've also said it about Sunshine from Clemson.

Is he good, yep.

is he a freak athlete. Yep.

Do I want a tight end in the first round. Nope.

Do I want a TE when we have Goedert. Nope

Do I want a TE when we have 9 other, more important holes. Nope

Do I think Friermuth or  Brevin Jordan would of looked like an absolute stud in that offense. YEP

I don’t care that you would pass on Pitts or that he doesn’t fit the team now. It’s just annoying seeing you post dumb stuff like Pitts is a product of his environment as if having Trask at QB in any way helps him toast high-round corners on the outside, create easy separation in the best conference in the country, and that Toney helped him in any way when it was Pitts drawing double teams.

Your argument against Pitts makes no sense whatsoever. He was the one who helped Toney. Pitts creating huge passing windows and drawing doubles helped Trask.

Brandon Pettigrew, TJ Hosckinson, Eric Ebron, Hayden Hurst, Jermane Gresham, go ahead and tell me when Taking a Tight end in the first round worked out well

Greg Olsen, Vernon Davis, Dallas Clark, Tony Gonzalez, Heath Miller, Tyler Eifert, Todd Heap.

But the reason you ride the short bus is because you don't seem to acknowledge that the majority of bloggers don't want Pitts at #6. He is however, a consensus top 10 pick, and could very well go in the top 5. Your argument against him just makes no sense. Those of us who don't want him acknowledge he is a very interesting prospect, and his career trajectory, like many guys,  will be predicated on the team that takes him figuring out how best to use him. He may very well bust out. But, based on his athletic measurables and his actual on field production, it's insanity to think he won't go top 10 this year.

i'm not high  on farley since he just had surgery on his back , the team needs to stay away from future risk players IMO

Green Bay is low-key one of the worst organizations in the league.

Yes. Adding Kelce to this offense adds minimal to the overall success of this team and he's almost 32. Kittle has durability issues. Pass on both.

Those that have doubts about Pitts as a WR should watch this breakdown.  Most of his production came when he was flexed out.  In fact, you will see from the breakdown that his game is much better outside than inside as a traditional TE.  Pitts beats off coverage regularly with a variety of moves and easily beats press coverage with his strength and technique.  He looks like he can play X receiver in the NFL and I think that is ultimately where he plays.

The more I watch him the more I think he is the best receiving threat in this draft.  There I said it.  Freak athleticism, size mismatch, route running, catch radius, YAC...it is all there.  Chase is great WR but he has limited physical ability (size, speed).  If both are there, I am taking Pitts.  Flame away!

Dude is a flat out beast and yet his production the last year has been minimal at best due to injury.

I'd be pretty cautious drafting someone his size with his Injury history.

The kid can really run and jump and in today's wide open nfl offenses guys like him with limited size but plus athletes have more value than past years

Interested to see where he goes, I imagine Andy Reid and chiefs would be salivating over his workout.

new development. we shouldnt over-react but i agree it gives me pause. dont like back injuries for ball players. still, he has the tools to be a top CB

If Pitts wasnt listed as a TE and was labeled a WR instead, would more people be on board with drafting him?

I dont like the idea of getting a TE so early, especially not top 10.  You can find them in the later rounds and really there arent many great ones in the NFL to begin with.  Majority of TE's in the league are good or solid.

I personally dont see him as a TE, to me he is a WR that can be moved in multiple spots. Hes a mismatch nightmare. To me its all about his route running and hands that determines his draft rank. His speed doesnt concern me nor his position label.

yeah if you draft Pitts it has to be as a WR. he has good releases, but it seems like he uses the same 'man' releases against off coverage instead of just eating up the cushion.

If I knew nothing about Pitts didn't know his height or weight and somebody handed me a tape of him just at WR I'd just assume he's a big fluid WR. I wouldn't ever guess he's a TE.

He doesn't have TE body type he definitely doesn't move like a TE.

I I were to draft him it would definitely be as a WR that can line up at XYZ I'd never ask him to pass block and if he was Run blocking it sure as heck wouldn't be in line.

I think if one envisions him as a move TE who can occasionally block I don't t think he's a top 10 pick.

If one envisions him as a WR who can move all over I think it's debatable whether or not what he brings is worth a top 10 pick.

man Pitts has an odd stride that didnt look like a 4.46 but it times that way. maybe just really long strides at his height and a slow build
