I think they actually weighed him.

All I saw was just him saying it in an interview, after he brushed it off once. No official height or measurements.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I'm willing to bet that the ones that like Pitts are also the ones that hated Gesicki.

I love Mike Gesicki and I realy like Pat Freiermuth a lot too.  Just totally different styles of play.  Freiermuth is a Brent Celek tight end and I would be fine with that in the 3rd round, provided they took Chase or Waddle in the 1st.

Split-wide, Pitts to me is the spitting image of Plaxico Burress. A tad taller and faster maybe and seemingly not that kind of head case.

I think I prefer Chase. I can't get over his utter domination of the SEC at 19. There was a wide receiver study last year showing that dominating at a young age (especially in the top CFB conferences) is an extremely strong predictor of NFL performance. And I just like Chase's whole play demeanor -- always out there flexing on dudes and barking at people. Fiery! 😀 Oddly seems like a more physical player to me than Pitts considering their listed positions.

I brought up this comparison a while back too.  Very good comparison.

I think Freiermuth goes in the 2nd. And I don't think we should take him there either.

Whether the Eagles pass on him or he goes before pick #6, expect many "Ain't that the pitts" jokes.

Here is a iol I am a fan of , probably a center in the nfl , he nailed it

IOL Kendrick Green, Illinois (6-foot-2, 305)

4.85s 40-yard dash (99th percentile)

2.18s 20-yard split (97th)

1.69 10-yard split (97th)

36” vertical (99th)

9’11” broad (100th)

incredible

Stoutland does like athletes at OL so...

How long are his arms, t- rex arms or normal human being length or orangutan arms?

The first D- grade I've ever seen. Impressive.

Had to make the trade realistic. PFF does not make trades feasible.

No where near the speed? Does everyone think Devonta just gets lucky toasting every single DB week in and week out for 200-300 yards a game if he had to by just better positioning or something and luck?

The Devonta Smith naysayers are getting out of control. That guy is the love child of DeAndre Hopkins and DeSean Jackson

DeSean Jackson was a 4.3 40 guy with elite/ big play ability, hands and ball tracking AND his real in game speed was among the fastest I've ever seen.

How is Smith running a 4.5 (if he runs that) comparable to Jackson at 4.3?

To give you an idea how much of a difference that is...

Go to 1:17 in the video...

Parris Campell would be DJax

Anotonio Brown would be Devonta Smith

A good 4-5 yards of separation after just 40 yards.

You made the whole thing realistic.  Looks like an Eagles draft, and looks like I would hate it.

Jeremiah , on Smith , and he is spot on about his game , what he says is what you see .

Smith is a smooth, fluid route runner with outstanding body control, hands and toughness. He can play inside or outside and uses his quickness to routinely defeat press coverage. He understands how to set up defenders and can sink his weight at the top of the route to efficiently get in/out of his breaks. He does a really good job working back down the route stem to the quarterback.

He has outstanding concentration and hands to finish in traffic. He can pluck the low ball off his shoes, reach back for balls on the back hip or high point the ball down the field -- and he does it all so smoothly and effortlessly. After the catch, he is extremely elusive, consistently making the first defender miss. Also, despite his lean frame, he is surprisingly strong enough to break tackles on the perimeter. His run-after-catch skills are featured with several quick screens and fly sweeps in the Crimson Tide offense.

My sources at Alabama expect him to run the 40-yard dash in the low 4.5s, with the potential to sneak into the high 4.4s. That doesn't place his speed in the special category, but it's plenty fast enough for me. Most of the top receivers in the NFL today were clocked in the 4.5s coming out of college (Michael Thomas, DeAndre Hopkins and Davante Adams, to name a few).

Thomas - 6'3", 212 lbs

Hopkins - 6'1", 212 lbs

Adams - 6'1", 215 lbs

Smith - 6'1", 174 lbs

One of these things is not like the others.

That quote doesn't hold a lot of water, imo.  Most NFL "bust" or "average" WR's likely run around a 4.5 as well.  And there's 100 busts for every one of Michael Thomas, or Hopkins, etc.

There's no S at the end of his name.

Until he becomes an Eagle.

No doubt they are heavier , but they all were 4.57 guys

I think Smith is in the 4.4s

I could see that and I agree.  I'm not taking a tight end in the 2nd.

He kind of reminds me of Odell Beckham Jr.
