TJ Vasher is OBJ in a 6’6 frame. My favorite Sleeper WR. The first catch is 😮  and much more in these highlights.

He would be a good late round pick.  He wasn't that productive in college.

May I submit as Exhibit A, Desean Jackson.  Played in 8 of 32 games the last two year.

Was that due to his weight or his age?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Nah man, Devonta Smith will get hurt when he's 33, he's trash.

Watch what Pitts did vs Bama and how Saban tried to double him. He knows quite a bit more than Bacarty, who keeps pushing nonsense about Kyle Trask and Toney propping up Pitts. Watch Pitts beat top corners flexed out to WR. He’s really good.

Sure, but ultimately, his blocking seems poor from what I can see and his frame is thin for a TE.  How does he compare to the like of Chase/Smith as a WR?  I guess teams will need to see how willing he is to do it and if he wants to work on that.

Generational talent or not, you gotta do the dirty side of the game haven't you?

All I saw was just him saying it in an interview, after he brushed it off once. No official height or measurements.

Now may not be the best time to point out that Donnel Pumphrey weighed in at 176 lbs at the Combine

So Devonta Smith weighed in but didn't run at his pro day?  That's a red flag...

This is pretty awesome.  He seems like a real teammate.  Waited his turn to be the man, always seems nice in interviews.

Get over the TE thing. He won't play that in the NFL. Think of him as a longer Larry Fitzgerald. That's what he's going to be if he stays healthy.

So Alabama is having a 2nd pro day on March 30th for NFL teams.  Maybe Smith will do drills then?  Harris didn't do any today either.

Meh: https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2017/07/inside_the_technology_giving_a.html  If Alabama is sharing this data, which I am sure the players want them to share, I am not sure what a 40 time would do.  I mean we have all of this data from his speed on multiple days, games and practices but sure these 2 40s will really tell a team how fast he is?

No one wants to admit it but he’s projected to be an Ertz type NFL player. Great receiver, can line up anywhere on the field, doesn’t block well.

Ironically we already have that, and it doesn’t work while also have Goedert.

For me its not just the 40 its all the drills, while doing them at whatever weight he is that he spent the last two months getting up to. If his playing weight in college was 160ish how does that compare to 170ish. Because I need to know if he can add weight without slowing him down.

Got it, thanks.  Wasn't sure if there was overreaction on just the one but he's not doing both.  Bad move.

He had a solid 2 months as the best Eagles WR last offseason before handing off the Paul Turner award to Travis Fulgham

Yeah, cause Mike Evans never had a 1,000 yard season before Brady.

Honestly go back to the Rams their first super bowl (2000) and look at the Wrs of the teams that made the super bowl. It’s a lot good WRs besides when brady was winning. Hes the outlier cause he’s the greatest QB of all time but he had some ridiculous numbers with moss.

1999 (super bowl played in 2000 was the 99 season):

2020:

chiefs: hill, Watkins and hardman

bucs: Evans, godwin and Antonio brown

just saying there’s a bunch of really good and good wrs that got to the super bowl or won the super bowl. Brady besides last year won with lesser talent at wr

now if you’re gonna say you don’t need to draft them in the first round and get good wide receivers to make a Super Bowl or win it I would agree. However the Eagles have shown they can’t draft and develop wide receivers (who are starters on the outside) in whatever round it is since they drafted Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson.

As I watch zero College Football, I've been interested to see what makes Pitts a generational TE. I am not seeking to have a dig at anyone, but the focus is less on the dirty work, but on the catches.  Your description sounds an apt one. I have no issue with that at all

Part of me wonders if he is one of those highly touted draftnik type players that ultimately gets taken a lot lower than he was mocked to.

I can't find the tweet but there was one this morning, he said he's not doing anything at either pro day but might set something up before the draft. Still doesn't make much sense to me, I'm guessing he ends up doing nothing.

Found it

Anyone else see Mel Kiper almost have a stroke talking about how dumb the Wentz trade was? That was some passion.

I'm definitely leaning towards supporting a Pitts/Smith(s) pick because it seems like it will create the most dissent on the blog.  As I see the rankings now:

1) Kyle Pitts

2) DeVonta Smith

3) Penei Sewell

Replace 3 with McCorkle Jones and you are set

Why? Why does adding weight make him a better player?

Because playing around 160 doesn't seem very sustainable at the next level

Interesting. I'd think this is a SIrianni move, he's had time to review game film from last year by now, and has probably sat down with Howie.

Given the 11 draft picks plus UDFAs plus a few SFAs in the next few weeks, they probably have to clear a few 90 man roster spots to make room for newcomers.
