For me its not just the 40 its all the drills, while doing them at whatever weight he is that he spent the last two months getting up to. If his playing weight in college was 160ish how does that compare to 170ish. Because I need to know if he can add weight without slowing him down.

Doesn’t this answer that question?

When someone doesn’t do a test, it’s because they can’t score well in it.  End of story.

He could not run from a weigh in.  So he bulked up to the point of achieving a semi acceptable number, saw his 40’s slow down, and decided not to run.

Believe me, if he could run a 4.45 right now, he would.  At 170, his 40 dipped into a range he doesn’t want anyone to see.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Honestly go back to the Rams their first super bowl (2000) and look at the Wrs of the teams that made the super bowl. It’s a lot good WRs besides when brady was winning. Hes the outlier cause he’s the greatest QB of all time but he had some ridiculous numbers with moss.

just saying there’s a bunch of really good and good wrs that got to the super bowl or won the super bowl. Brady besides last year won with lesser talent at wr

now if you’re gonna say you don’t need to draft them in the first round and get good wide receivers to make a Super Bowl or win it I would agree. However the Eagles have shown they can’t draft and develop wide receivers (who are starters on the outside) in whatever round it is since they drafted Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson.

Didn't say a team doesn't need good receivers said they don't need to have 1000 yard receivers to win.

Jeffrey smith agholor were good enough receivers at their perspective positions and roles to be able to win a super bowl none were 1000 yard receivers in 2017.

Larry fitzgerald another elite WR with zero. super bowl wins.

I'm not saying  I don't want a receiver to get 1000 yards but making a post that the eagles haven't had a 1000 yard WR since 2015 meaning the house is on fire when they won a super bowl since then is hyperbole.

I am just pointing out to the Cardinals never went to a Super Bowl before they had Larry Fitzgerald. They got with in a tremendous catch by holmes of winning a Super Bowl. They do not come that close in that game to winning a Super Bowl without Larry Fitzgerald huge td. That franchise doesn’t even get to a Super Bowl without Larry Fitzgerald

you keep basing it off one team wins a Super Bowl every year. I just gave you 42 teams that made it to the Super Bowl. The majority of them had a really good wide receiver or multiple. fewer did not besides the patriots because Tom Brady was the greatest Fing quarterback that ever lived. And he really should’ve won another Super Bowl because of how awesome he was with Randy moss but the giants with plaxico did instead

There's that.

Then there's declining to be weighed at the Senior Bowl while the Alabama roster page listing him at 175. It's very obvious he's hiding something and has been the whole process.

Again never said having good receivers isn't a must I said having them have 1000 yards isn't.

Eagles won a super bowl with good receivers none of them had   1000 yards

2000 ravens had shannon sharpe as their best WR and he was a TE.

The 98 vikings broke all sorts of records and had two HOF WRs one on a rookie contract and 2 of them 1000 yards no super bowl.

Marvin harrison reggie wayne in their greatness won one super bowl.

Even brady with moss who set the nfl rec td record no super bowl.

The 2002 bucs keyshawn barely had 1000 yards keenan mccardell the second leading receiver had just over 600 and had all of 13 yards in the super bowl

I love a WR that can get 1500 yards and 10 tds as much as the next guy but it's not a requisite to winning a super bowl

Heck even the eagles with maclin and jackson never even won a play off game.

Nah.  He can be bought.  They would be wise to wait until the NFL forces Danny Boy out and let's Beezos buy them.  Then the NFL can launch their marriage with Amazon.

I could see Washington being cheap enough to just not want to pay him and on principle

Who gives a crap if he gets 1000 yards or not you have to have a good wide receivers. That should be the end of the discussion. Get them later in the draft get them early in the draft it doesn’t matter. You have to have them. The Eagles can’t draft any of them at any point in time and develop them since maclin. Tom Brady wouldn’t have gone go Tampa Bay unless they had Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. He’s not going to Tampa Bay last year if the Buccaneers didn’t have those two wide receivers. He doesn’t get another Super Bowl unless the Buccaneers had those  wide receivers in place. You believe he’s going to Tampa Bay without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans in place knowing in New England where he left he had no weapons besides Edelman by the time he left? I highly doubt it. He didn’t randomly just to choose Tampa Bay by accident

I don't think it matters. If you think his weight is an issue, then I think there should be some data that suggests playing at a low weight limits him as a player.  There's a lot of data about outliers that typically show an NFL prospect isn't going to be successful but I don't think weight and playing the WR position is something there's data to suggest it's unlikely he will be successful.  He's played and beaten NFL talent.  He's not some Division 3 player that looks good on tape. He dominated NFL level talent.  So, if his weight is an issue now it should have been an issue this season in college.  It wasn't.

It's honestly better than some other dumb nickname they could come up with for the team.

The point of whether he has 1000 yards was in direct response to the Post that said eagles haven't had a 1000 yard receiver since 2015 and I replied who cares they won a super bowl during that time.

Like a drifter he was born to walk alone

Wonder if he dropped weight. Those are great numbers for him.

Wait, no way those numbers are true. He must have gotten that from his agent.

Flacco will be a good tank commander if needed.

GROSS

Flacco getting 3.5M. Ugh.

I get that's the market for backup QBs, but it's still gross.
