I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I’m telling you...promote Duce to HC, collect a pair of 3rd round picks, and hire a real HC in 2022.

How about this is wrong on so many levels. I shouldn't have to explain what levels either.

My new Howie offseason:

1) Trade Wentz to Indy for 2nd round pick

2) Trade Doug and a 5th for a 4th to the Jets

3) Make Duce the head coach

4) draft Trey Lance

You need to be thinking about drafting the BPA to improve the team, not who can we take in the first round that will win us the SB next year. SB winning teams draft well in the mid and later rounds. We are not in the spot to be thinking SB yet, so BPA yes even if its a WR.

Yeah... because thats what I said.

This team can't draft WRs... period.  I don't trust them to pick the WR in the top 10, just as I don't trust them in the first round.    They were at 21, had the best WR land in their laps... and still screwed it up.   So, I don't trust them to use a top 10 pick on the right guy at WR... I can tell you right now that of the top 3, at least one of those WRs will end being a major disappointment.  And it will be guaranteed to be the one the Eagles draft, if they do it.  That's how it works with Howie in the draft room.

Man, the Texans are somehow worse than we are.

Nick Caserio was going to get the job last season, until the Patriots pulled a Patriots.  He’s better qualified than Khan ..... and a million times better qualified than Riddick

A lot of sheep with rudders out your way?

    All of them!

WR is a premium position.  It just happens to also be a dependent one.

The best teams in the NFL are winning games and championships on the shoulders of their WRs.  The NFL has made it so.  Packers, Chiefs, Bills, Saints...the WRs make those offenses go.

But the position comes third in the process.  You need an OL and a QB before the ball can be delivered.  If you lack those things, a WR can’t really produce or save you.

The Eagles lack all 3.  Which makes me feel like it’s really silly when people talk about drafting safeties, corners, and linebackers.  Like buying new rims for a car with no engine.

If Doug Pederson's "vision" included Press Taylor as OC, then he 100% deserved to be fired.

And we trust this 'brain trust' to make the right pick at WR in the top 10?    Please... they are so self-deluded that they know what's going on.  Just draft Wyatt Davis and let it go at there.

Let's start with that's not fair to Duce. Let's finish with sounds pretty racist

Be honest with yourself, do you trust them(Howie) to draft any player in the first round no matter what pick it is? By what Im reading you dont. So wouldnt BPA be the most logical choice, lol. Im not talking Howies BPA, Im taking the NFL top experts BPA at the pick. lol

It’s a racist rule.  It’s not racist to promote someone so you can get a pair of 3rd round picks in a failed season.

If there were a rule that said you get a first round pick for making someone named "Press” your HC, I’d do that instead.

Im just working with what the NFL is giving me.

And in between you'll make this organization the target of hatred by the players

See I dont think our Oline or QB is crap. I think our coaching is crap. I like our Oline when healthy. I even think we have some nice players as backups that showed it this year. I still believe in Carson with the right scheme and coaching. Do I think we are winning a SB next year with a new staff? No. But WRs in the top 10 have shown they can be dominate players, yes even on a crap team. Id rather take a guy in a WR spot I really believe can be great then fall back and take a guy who Im not so sure about. Not often we are in the top 10, So im taking again the BPA no matter what the position is.

Granted.   Add to that that the scouting department and front office is also crap, especially at identifying talent at WR... and you have my point.   They saw Jefferson and Reagor, and went Reagor.  They saw Higgins, Claypool, etc... and still went Reagor... and then the coaching staff struggled to install anything for him, even though the post-draft talk was about his versatility...

I want them taking the BPA at a position that they've proven they have a clue... Wyatt Davis ftw... waste a second round pick on the wrong WR.

Tell that to the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills invested a top 10 pick at WR?   That's news to me.

It most certainly is. If your intention is only to keep him until you get a real head coach. No thanks

2/4 of those WR picks were busts.  1 was a true pro bowler and the other an all time great.  But all 4 were vastly superior prospects coming out to anything we have sniffed and to anyone in this draft.

Tough argument for me to defend since hindsight showed Mike Williams and Charles Rodgers to be busts, but I’m still going to argue they were much better prospects than Chase and Smith.

Yes.

Yeah, just read that. Surprised the Eagles have "a vision” .

If Duce has a great season, then obviously he stays as HC.

LET'S GO!

I would cry tears of joy if this happened. And then I'm gonna go s*** on Press Taylor's lawn.

I think the stipulation is it has to be an outside hire

So you want to promote a black coach just to get (2) 3rd round draft picks then fire him the following year. This has to be one of the dumbest ideas ive ever heard of here and extremely racist. You would ruin any rep of this franchise with doing that.

Ill leave it at that cause that conversation is just wrong in all levels. That sounds like something the Patriots would do.
