I’m with crocky and have been saying so  , love Gowan’s game

I really like Jaycee Horn as a prospect but Tay Gowan who nobody is really talking about could very well have the best rookie season

Yep, sign me up to the Gowan Bandwagon.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Browns are getting better. I was rooting for them in the playoffs

Clowney is overhyped though

I feel like he’s a bad locker room guy.

Been married for 20 years this past October.  No dating app.  No awkwardness.   Met my wife on a church youth retreat.  Started with 'group dates', just hanging out with a big group, and then moved to one on one dating.

Church youth retreat would not have been an option for me.

When I was young, before I was married, my best friend’s sister had a baby girl.   Once she was a toddler, my best friend and I would watch her for the day and take her all over the place to do things she liked.  Looking for shells on the beach.  Flying a kite and picnics in the park, the zoo, riding the little train in the park, playing wiffle ball, getting ice cream. He loved being an uncle and for her first decade, she thought I was one.  But talk about a magnet for girls.  Didn’t meet my wife with her but she saw us with her and was surprised we would take a day off and spend most of it playing with a little kid.

I had a girl friend (we tried dating but it just didn’t feel right and we couldn’t put our friendship at risk).  She had a daughter when she was 19.  (We are the same age.) I used to watch her daughter all the time.  Same sort of reaction as my friend’s niece.   Girls would ask my daughter’s name or my friend’s daughter’s name.  When we would say she wasn’t a daughter, it was like magic.  Today with all the crap on the news and TV, the reaction would probably be different.  But I suspect it is like the cute dog.  Humanizes us and makes us less frightening, I suspect.  My son’s girl friend’s sister had a little girl, who is a toddler.  His girlfriend goes on and on about how my son is so great with her.

Clowney isn't signing until August, no point in bringing him in now.

That's truly incredible.

Just trade down from 6 and pick the BPA. CB, WR, OL, who cares.

Howie sucks and it makes too much sense to do that so I sincerely doubt it

Like Hill quite a bit. Not sure if he'd be there with one of our 5th's... Probably not

4.35 short shuttle and 7.13 three cone suggest limited wiggle.  Not bad but not stellar.  36 in vertical and 10.2 broad suggest some power in his legs.

I like Hill , he along with Hawkins are my 2 favorite later round backs .

Stevie Scott?

My IU crush is Johnson

How did I miss this?  Another under the radar signing for the Giants.  They've really improved that defense.  The Eagles are so far behind everyone in the division ugh.

They’re signing guys — I wouldn’t say they’ve been very smart or responsible about it, though.

Leonard Williams, Kenny Golladay and Adoree Jackson are all big overpayments.  They should have kept Tomlinson over Williams, to be blunt.  Ragland has been bouncing around already.  The Giants will be his 3rd team in four years

You've got it all backwards my friend.  The NFC East had itself a "good" offseason.  Dallas/WTF/NYG elevated themselves from the bottom rung of the NFL to a solid purgatory of mediocrity with some of these paper talent acquisitions.  None of them have a realistic shot at competing for anything or winning a playoff game.

What it does mean, however, is that the Eagles are very likely to go 0-6 in the division...a division that, 2 months ago, figured to be a real barrier to us losing games.  We'd be picking #3 overall this year if we had gone 0-6 in the division.

The Eagles will be underdogs in 16 games this year.  Or 17, whatever it is with the NFL.

Horn is gonna get flagged for some of this stuff, but those are impressive reps.

I think your pessimism is usually a smidge too much, but your first paragraph is spot on.

The rest is excessive. Eagles are not going to be as bad as you think.

except we have Howie.....

Nevermind.

While I love the athleticism and size Surtain and Horn bring, I still would question the value of picking them top 6-8 if we’re going to be mostly a two-high team.

You're right and it probably makes them look better seeing the Eagles do squat.  I do like Harris but man I just wish he was 27.  I wouldn't be surprised if they were underdogs in all 17 games...ugh I don't like uneven number of games.

The development of last years draft, this years and next years drafts are IMPERATIVE to the where this team goes.

We would be picking #3 if we lost that Saints game

I think Skins and Dallas has a shot of at least a playoff game. Don't think they make it past the first playoff game though

This upcoming season is going to be painful for us

This is a good take. Trading down to take a CB at say #11-12 is very different. The value is right then.

Yup, I think 6 is too high for any corner, I think corners best value is in the 2nd round and after.

The league rules favor passing and offense so much That corners are set up to fail, even the elite corners like ramsey gilmore ect that make big bucks are getting toasted week after week, the days if shut down corners are long gone not because corners have gotten worse or receivers and offenses are so much better but simply because the rules favor offense and passing and scoring because the NFL believe high scoring games garner higher ratings so defenses get the short end and since the fastest way to score is by passing dbs get the shortest end of the stick.

As I've said before the eagles in 2017 spent the least amount of money on corner league wide and one of the highest on safety.

Safeties are more multiple in a defense especially if one has one like malcolm jenkins who can move all over where as corner is more one dimensional.

Bucs won the super bowl this year with two corners drafted in the 2nd and the other in the 3rd

KC last year and this year Corners were pretty average.

As much as it would be nice to have a guy like horn I think 6 is way too high for any corner.

And young , their top 3 CBs and top 3 safeties are all still on their rookie deals
