I still see a competition at LT between Dillard and Mailata, with one being the swing OT next season.  Lane might be gone after next year, so the two of them might be the starting OT tandem in 2022

 

If dillard develops I will be happy with that pair at bookend. Mailata is going to be here either way, he proved himself

Stoutland was here when they drafted Lane.  He was here when they identified Brooks as a free agent target.  He was here when they drafted Seumalo (who for all the crap he takes in here is an above average OG), he was here when they drafted Vaitai, who was great depth on a Super Bowl winning team... and developed him into a starting OL that they couldn't afford to resign, given the bad contracts given by Howie.  

 

We will be getting Howie's BPA... not the consensus NFL BPA.  Jefferson was the consensus better player than Reagor... how'd that turn out?   Howie went Reagor... so for me, stick to what you know... which is to listen to Stoutland for OL.

If we are going to just base everything off Philly Philly, then Nick Foles should be calling the plays for this offense and Trey Burton should be our qb of the future.

So really your argument then is WR is not good value in the top 10 if Howie is picking the player. 

Also by your theory, Id rather take Oline in the 2nd-5th round since Stoutland is that good cause he can get the best out of the later picks and make them good players. Id rather take a player that is a stud in the position for example WR already and not needing our crappy coaches help.

These WRs don’t measure up to Julio as prospects, that’s for sure.  

Interesting that Douglas was here and could see all the inner workings and would still trade for Doug. Makes you wonder.

Even though I’m a firm believer that Howie is the underlying problem, I don’t think Douglas was any prize.  If Doug and Douglas were aligned with eachother, I’m sure that friendship alone would be enough for him to want to make the trade.

Theres a lot of noise on who really did make the suggestion to add it to the book. Other teams like the Bears and Browns were running it a few years before we put it in the playbook. During a documentary about the Eagles SB run they said Foles actually asked about trying out the play cause he ran it in HS and the Bears ran it last game of the season in the season that just ended. No one will know who really did.
