This has to be one of the dumbest ideas ive ever heard of here and extremely racist. You would ruin any rep of this franchise with doing that. Ill leave it at that cause that conversation is just wrong in all levels. That sounds like something the Patriots would do. I guess you missed where I said it would be a page right out of Belichicks book. Id only fire him if he won 3-4 games, first year HCs get fired all the time for that.

Whatever people thought of his rookie season in the snaps he got, he was much better than Andrew Thomas with the Giants. It takes time for a LT to reach their potential, and Dillard’s scouting report said he would likely need a year to develop. I still see a competition at LT between Dillard and Mailata, with one being the swing OT next season. Lane might be gone after next year, so the two of them might be the starting OT tandem in 2022 If dillard develops I will be happy with that pair at bookend. Mailata is going to be here either way, he proved himself

So wouldnt BPA be the most logical choice, lol. Im not talking Howies BPA, Im taking the NFL top experts BPA at the pick. lol I trust them to identify and pick good OL. (What I am really saying, is that I trust Stoutland.) He's the guy you listen to... the rest are just Peanut adult characters... wah-wah-waaaah. Even this past draft, they went and landed Driscoll who looks like, at the very least, a very solid depth piece... and in the 5th round. Stoutland was here when they drafted Lane. He was here when they identified Brooks as a free agent target. He was here when they drafted Seumalo (who for all the crap he takes in here is an above average OG), he was here when they drafted Vaitai, who was great depth on a Super Bowl winning team... and developed him into a starting OL that they couldn't afford to resign, given the bad contracts given by Howie. We will be getting Howie's BPA... not the consensus NFL BPA. Jefferson was the consensus better player than Reagor... how'd that turn out? Howie went Reagor... so for me, stick to what you know... which is to listen to Stoutland for OL.

Then nobody gets angry and we get 4 third round picks. Now you’re thinking like the Patriots.

January 10, 20214 yr Howie survives every single dysfunction battle, yet somehow Lurie never looks at him and realizes maybe he’s responsible for a lot of it. I don’t get it. As for Watson, not to be insensitive to his feelings, but who does he think he is giving say on a GM? A coach, sure. A coordinator, sure. But a GM? Hes mad because they didn’t hire a black GM, is that the report? You hire the best man for the job, hiring strictly based off skin color is doing no one any good. That’s essentially critical race theory in a nutshell. It’s toxic.

January 10, 20214 yr If Doug Pederson were traded to the Jets for a decent pick...on one hand, that’s Howie scapegoating another HC. On the other hand, that would be an incredible trade by Howie.
January 10, 20214 yr #6 overall pick the past decade: 2010 — Russell Okung LT — 2X Pro Bowl in 10 seasons 2011 — Julio Jones WR — 7X Pro Bowl, 2X All Pro 2012 — Morris Claiborne CB — meh pick at best 2013 — Barkevious Mingo DE — meh pick at best 2014 — Jake Matthews OT — 1 Pro Bowl as a replacement; reliable is all 2015 — Leonard Williams DE — 1 Pro Bowl; pretty good player 2016 — Ronnie Stanley OT — 1st team All Pro in 2019; signed mega extension 2017 — Jamal Adams S — 3X Pro Bowl, 1X All Pro, 2X 2nd team All Pro 2018 — Quenton Nelson G — 3X All Pro in 3 seasons 2019 — Daniel Jones QB — pedestrian player; will likely get GM fired soon 2020 — Justin Herbert QB — probable OROY The Eagles have drafted 1 player in their last 50 picks who has made a Pro Bowl (Wentz). This pick needs to be an All Pro or Pro Bowl-level player
January 10, 20214 yr If we are going to just base everything off Philly Philly, then Nick Foles should be calling the plays for this offense and Trey Burton should be our qb of the future.

Also by your theory, Id rather take Oline in the 2nd-5th round since Stoutland is that good cause he can get the best out of the later picks and make them good players. Id rather take a player that is a stud in the position for example WR already and not needing our crappy coaches help.

Other teams like the Bears and Browns were running it a few years before we put it in the playbook. During a documentary about the Eagles SB run they said Foles actually asked about trying out the play cause he ran it in HS and the Bears ran it last game of the season in the season that just ended. No one will know who really did.
