Nevell  Hewitt supposedly has 31 5/8'' arms.

I remember reading in here that we might be going for long armed LBs. Hewitt is not that.

I dont mind. Hes a player.  But looks like arm length isnt a priority if the like him.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

They’re signing guys — I wouldn’t say they’ve been very smart or responsible about it, though.

Leonard Williams, Kenny Golladay and Adoree Jackson are all big overpayments.  They should have kept Tomlinson over Williams, to be blunt.  Ragland has been bouncing around already.  The Giants will be his 3rd team in four years

At least they are paying guys in their prime.

Things could be worse guys

He's ok, better than what we have at least. If they land him plus a linebacker in the top three rounds, I'd actually be fine there

Yeah the Eagles have never done that.

even the elite corners like ramsey gilmore ect that make big bucks are getting toasted week after week

No they aren’t

Aren't the owner meetings coming up in a week or so?  That's probably the best next time for an Ertz deal to get done.

I'm really confused as to what Roseman is doing this offseason.  It seemed like after the season they were aware that they had to tear down and rebuild but besides Wentz and the punter it seems like they have just reworked all these contracts to try and run it back.

Alshon, DeSean, Malik, and Mills all gone. Everyone expected the first three and I don't think most are shocked that they let Mills walk. I thought there would have been a surprise cut/trade in there between Cox, Graham, Lane, or Brooks, but I'd say they have pretty much made all of the moves we expected so far outside of Ertz.

If we sign him, it’s probably just a depth piece/special teamer. Let’s see what kind of guys we actually invest in.

That is such a massively tone deaf tweet. I'm sure their fanbase is just loving that.

Do yourself a favor and look up the 30+ genders and their meanings plus the 8 stages of whiteness...you'll want to rip your hair out.

There are 30 genders?  Damn I’m old, I just found out that you can’t say transvestite anymore.
Those of us old enough to remember when the Phillies had Dave Stewart, that may have been the first time they heard that word, and now it’s a bad one.

Anyway on a serious note, I’ve decided after 10 years to start playing golf again, no more than once a week but even in 10 years clubs have changed, I’ve been looking at Iron sets and now they are starting with a 5 or a 6 iron, and usually stopping at PW.  I’m hoping to be around $550-$600 for just the irons, which by the prices I’m seeing isn’t much at all.   I figure a grand to fill out a bag, but should I go used?  Or are these game improvement irons I’m seeing worth it?   Driver and 3 wood will be new.

Such absolute disrespect for Greg Ward.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Andy Dalton isn't THAT bad of a quarterback.  Guy who's been a starter in the league with limited success and I could be wrong here but he hasn't had the same offensive coordinator for back-to-back seasons during his entire career.  The Bengals are a mess of a franchise.  He was surrounded by talent but zero consistency in what they did from an offensive standpoint.

I think rolling with Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco is much worse than having Andy Dalton for 1-year $10 million.  We are the laughing stock of the league.

While I love the athleticism and size Surtain and Horn bring, I still would question the value of picking them top 6-8 if we’re going to be mostly a two-high team.

I agree, not just because of the scheme but because the NFL is played now.  It's an offensive run league.  Is there truly a lockdown corner in the league right now?  I don't think there is and I don't think Surtain or Horn have that ability, even as good as they are.

Look at the corners drafted in the 1st last year.  Sure they might be CB1 but they aren't locking down 1 side of the field.

I'm not touching a corner in round 1 unless we get some killer trade package.  I want offensive firepower to keep up with the other teams.

Driver, putter, hybrid.   Really all you need if you want to get back in to it.

I don’t think a player has to be a lockdown corner to go high in round 1. It’s scheme dependent. If you play mostly man coverage with a single high safety (like the Eagles last year), it makes sense to invest highly in corners because it’s far more difficult to find good man coverage corners than zone corners.

If you’re a zone-heavy team that asks players to spot drop (rather than pattern match) with two safeties over the top, is that worthy of a high pick?

We still don’t really know what defense Gannon wants to run. Harris was a single high safety for the most part under Zimmer. Last year he played more two-high to protect their young corners. Eberflus played mostly two high and started running more single high last year.

Maybe Gannon wants to be more flexible and change based on opponent or personnel?

He isn't that bad of a QB but he's certainly not good either and at 33 clearly in the downswing of his "meh" career. And while yes the Bengals were a mess, offensively are the recent Bears much better?  They got a guy who can maybe get them to 6-8 wins and land them another upper-mid-level draft pick next year... congrats!

Hurts may well be worse. Much worse. But in a year where the rest of our team is not ready to compete I'm taking the talented but unproven young guy over proven mediocrity (at best) 10/10 times. Neither the Bears or the Eagles are in the Bucs' situation talent wise.

Yup which is ideal, imagine if Howie had hit on two corners instead of sidney and rasul☹️

Most of what I hear from the national sports media on NFL Radio, NFLN, etc. Is the Eagles are in rebuild mode, and Hurts is the starter for now — but the long term plan at QB is yet to be decided.  They don’t really ask the questions we in the blog ask, as far as whether it’s best to draft a QB now or wait for the roster to be rebuilt, etc.

When talking on NFL Radio yesterday to a lifetime Eagles fan caller, who asked how Howie was going to screw up the #6 pick, they chuckled and said absolutely everything should be in play at #6 because of the state of the roster.  They in no way see the Eagles as a "laughing stock” having missed the playoffs in 2020 for the first time in 4 years.

There are many, many fan bases who have it worse than Eagles fans.

Get some used clubs. If you are only going once a week, it's not worth it to spend big money. Game improvement irons are fine, but just get some Ping irons. They are probably the most idiot proof.

The biggest issue is the shaft weight and flex in the driver and 3 wood.

Call around to some local pro shops to see when they have demo days. Then you can hit a variety of shafts to see what is best.

After 30 seconds of background research, I think the tweet was a troll job.  Doesn’t make things less of a dumpster fire...
