Idk and idc anymore. I was pumped by a new offensive weapon. The CB depth in this draft is better than people think

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

So...who is the guy at 12? Farley?

No, he is made of glass.

Gonna be Paye/Slater/Surtain/Horn

This has always been Howie's strong point, rebuilding, wheeling and dealing for a little edge here and there, lots of interconnected moves, that add up.

Howie's a smart guy, got a little full of himself after the SB, tried too hard to keep the magic alive, but he'll learn from his mistakes.

Going on Lurie’s press conference, I truly believe this was more of an insistence by Doug.

Howie was probably on board to try to repeat. After that, I imagine he likely started voicing concern about a rebuild but was amenable either way while Doug insisted we could win another ring.

First, hey.

Second, I'd be so mad if we wasted all that capital on Wilson when he's in his 30s and this team is a long ways away from competing.

Hey.

If you look at it like Russ could give us 5 to 6 years of good football plus take us to the Super Bowl and win, the draft capital really wouldn't be wasted. The downside to that is, they trade for him and it completely fails, but there's always risk.

This is awesome!!!!!!!   Good job by Howie.  Bad news for you Pitts fan boys.  😂

I just need to root for a new pick that will make you mad.

I'd be OK with Rousseau at 12.  6-6 260.  He's the closest thing to Chase Young from a physical standpoint and he did have a darn good 2019.  Not ideal but I wouldn't be mad.

I would put good money that the Eagles don’t pick at #12. They have the ability to trade up if someone falls and if not, I bet they trade back and get someone like Horn, Bateman, etc.

I would be ecstatic if the Eagles traded down again from 12 and picked up another first in 2022.

Just saw the news. I'm not happy about it. They made it obvious again they don't believe in Hurts.

There were going to be generational talents at 6. Daniel Jerimiah said he would fall out of his seat if the Eagles moved out of this spot.

It happened. Lol

Waddle is still an option at 12. Not interested, but he's an option.

Waddle would be a very good pick for the team.  I think he's also a better pick than any of the CBs.

Right. I know people talk about his age, but if you're looking at this from the FO perspective, Russ could potentially give you 5 or 6 years of really good football and take this team back to the Super Bowl. So for them, the price would be right and from the fans perspective, if Russ took the team to the Super Bowl and won 1 or 2, there wouldn't be many complaints.

3 of those 5 years we will have a roster that doesn't support him.  It would be OK Russ go carry this team on your back good luck!

That was my point. I’m fine trading for Wilson but I’d have to know how much longer he intends to play football at 33 years old. I’d also have to be confident he can play at a high level like he is now for the next 5-6 years. I think this high upside and also risk.

Just wait until the Eagles draft Mac Jones at 12, this place will really explode then.

I'm already warming up to him.

Are we trying to load up for Deshaun Watson or something?

I fear Devonte Smith is going to fall to Giants right before us now.

It depends on who/what Howie adds during this year's draft and next year's FA period. I mean, I don't have high expectations, because he can't draft, but we'll see.

have to be looking at one of the CBs now, I would think. or maybe Smith slides that far.

I hope the Giants draft him.  Would be stupid.  The guy is going to get broken in the NFL.

Why are all of you so damn concerned with what the other teams in this division do?  We are in a rebuild.  Be concerned in 3 years when it matters.  This is a great first start.

My prediction....we trade Hurts on draft night and pick Mac Jones at #12.  (don't love it)

Honestly...would depend on what we got for Hurts. Would you ship Hurts for a 2nd and a 4th to take Jones? I'd consider it.

That would be amazing as long as they dont move too far back.  If they did, possibly 4 1st rounders in 2022.

No guarantee those guys at 6 would be generational talents.  They could just as easily be busts.  I like Chase and Pitts but I'm not sold on them to be really good.  Some of the best WRs in football werent even taken in the 1st round let alone the top 10.

If QB goes 1 2 3 or possibly 1 2 3 4

You're getting one of Chase, Sewell (even though I didn't want him), Pitts.  All 3 of those guys are ELITE.

I don’t think Sewell is not falling past Cin.

I’ll pass on a receiver at 6. A pick at 6 for me is a game changer player. One that can take over a game himself. A WR or TE can’t do that especially without a good QB. All you gotta do is look at Megatron for that example.

Could totally see the eagles taking Jones. Was a report the niners also like jones a lot have a hard time seeing them take him at 3 tho but i also didn’t think Daniel jones would go six

That's the thing.  Who here has faith in Howie drafting players who are going to help?  We all sure hope he does, especially with all of this draft capital.

Next years cap is going to dwindle fast though if they expect to bring back Barnett, DG, Sweat, Mailata and potentially Sanders (the only young talented players worth it).  If you bring in Russ then you have his cap number to worry about too.

I understand the thought process that adding a proven top 5 QB makes them instantly better but when you don't have a team and don't have a GM who knows how to draft to build a team then it's just useless.

This is why you tank that Washington game...

Did we get confirmation whether got the Dolphins 2022 first or the one they got from San Fran?

Hell no!

It’s the Dolphins pick, not the 9ers
