Did we get confirmation whether got the Dolphins 2022 first or the one they got from San Fran?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If we're basically going into rebuild mode and want to tank this year, shouldn't we be trying to trade Cox and Graham too?

excellent, I expect they will suck

That's the thing.  Who here has faith in Howie drafting players who are going to help?  We all sure hope he does, especially with all of this draft capital.

Next years cap is going to dwindle fast though if they expect to bring back Barnett, DG, Sweat, Mailata and potentially Sanders (the only young talented players worth it).  If you bring in Russ then you have his cap number to worry about too.

I understand the thought process that adding a proven top 5 QB makes them instantly better but when you don't have a team and don't have a GM who knows how to draft to build a team then it's just useless.

He makes the trade for Wilson and they win Super Bowl(s) or, he makes the trade for Wilson, it fails spectacularly and hopefully Jeff has the good sense GOD gave him and he fires Howie and hires a competent GM, there's no lose there, imo.

Daniel Jeremiah should talk to me.  Since I have been saying that's what they are going to do.  And I have another news flash for you.  They aren't done.  No way they are done trading picks.  Something else is in the works.

There was the report they were trying to move up to get Zack Wilson. If the Jets aren’t sold on Wilson at two or any of those quarterbacks I could see the eagles stockpiling picks to try to make the Jets trade out of two. Maybe the Jets want more first round picks then having less and just having to pick at six. I doubt it but  we’ve seen crazier things

Surprised they let the QB rumor leak.

Curious if this is a rumor or speculation.  It would be strange to let a rumor like this leak.

Then I have to think Surtain, or maybe Waddle if he drops.

I would absolutely be onboard with Surtain, Waddle or Devonta Smith if he drops.

Just wait until the Eagles draft Mac Jones at 12, this place will really explode then.

Ugh.  I just don't like Mac Jones, I think he's got bust written all over him.  Immobile QB with a good arm, he did well when surrounded with elite weapons and line.  That's not gonna translate to the NFL.  Sadly, this theory makes some sense to me.  If Mac Jones was the guy they wanted, they know that he should be around at 12.

IMO, Tua is not a good quarterback.  There's no guarantee at all that Miami will be good.  It's the Bills division to lose.  The Jets will be improved.  NE bought half the NFL to carry the team while Cam runs around.  Miami could finish 2nd or they could finish 4th in the AFCE.

Something doesn't sit right with me on Mac Jones.  With seeing interviews on him, I just see a super smart, nice guy who played QB at Alabama.  I don't see a Type A leader with a cannon.  Maybe I'm wrong.  I just get a feel that he won't be playing football in 6 years.

Would I trade Hurts for a 2nd and a 4th?  Depends on where that 2nd is, but yes I would.

I have reservations on Mac myself, but from all accounts his teammates seem to really love the guy. That could be telling, but my real reasoning is that I flat out trust him more than Hurts. I just don't see it with Hurts. With Jones, it's a little more believable.

Is making a move for Trevor Lawrence at 1 in play now?

Probably.

I do kind of wonder what Cox would get us.

Assuming they don’t draft a QB at 12, they will have their choice of one of these players if they stay:

Chase, Pitts, Smith, Waddle, Sewell, Slater, Parsons, Surtain

If you're Jax, would #12 and 2 2022 1sts be enough?  Is that overpaying from the Eagles.

Disclaimer....I don't want this to happen, there are just endless possibilities trying to figure out what the Eagles are going to do.

Had to get a mock in with the new pick order ...

Hell yeah, and that's why I love this move.

Was typing my response as you wrote this.

Essentially you would be trading Carson Wentz and pick 6 for Lawrence if they could swing that deal.

Chase, Pitts, Smith and Sewell will all be gone.

Great now pop back out. Oh and Jones

3 years in a row the Eagles intentionally turn their backs on impact Receivers. At least they're consistent.

OK, so #12 overall...Hmmmm...It's harder to find a top shelf prospect at 12. Good thing Howie is so great at picking out the difference makers from the pile in the middle.

Crazier things have happened than players like Pitts & Smith still being there. Smith is far more likely IMO.

This year's draft is a numbers game, with the COVID madness, a lot of good players will drop and a lot of high picks will turn out to be mistakes.

Next year we get 3 1st rd picks (cross fingers) in a draft with a full college season and scouts having full access.

And we move up from the 5th to the 4th round.

There should be a good player available at 12, and Howie can take a CB or LB without it being a reach, while there will be lots of WRs available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Yep. Well done.

I think I saw it was the Dolphins which isn't bad.  I expect Buffalo will still win the division.
