I can see it being attractive to someone who wants to break into the head coaching ranks, and isn't a big up and coming name. It's still 1 of 32 jobs. To someone reputable, it may not be so attractive if they have to choose between working under Howie, or somewhere else.
January 10, 20214 yr You never want to work for a boss whose son is also an employee at your level. That's what it is to be a HC for the Eagles with Howie as Lurie's GM.
January 10, 20214 yr I'm glad the Eagles watched Baltimore's offense and thought it would be wise to construct our future around an even poorer man's Lamar Jackson.

I think that elusive 1:1 ratio of passing yards to rushing yards from a starting QB is the future. 1 minute ago, RLC said: Most don't pay as well as Lurie. This matters. Let’s try it this way: Where would the Eagles rank among the openings?

January 10, 20214 yr Devin Duvernay... sigh... look at that a rookie punt returner. Crazy. They need a guy who can fair catch it back there. Titans are keeping the ball away from him. Nice work for him.

Big market, historic franchise, crazy fans, owner willing to spend, franchise QB (if you know what you’re doing) ... it’s a top 10 job in the entire sport.

January 10, 20214 yr LOL Doug putting all his eggs in the Press Taylor basket??? Dude really has no clue

Lions might be the only job desired less. Maybe Texans depending on how big the Watson problem actually is.

If Lurie is going to start changing into a meddlesome owner and retain Howie for a long time, many of those factors won't matter to a reputable coach who has options.

January 10, 20214 yr That was a garbage holding call and resulted in a first down for the Ravens? If not for the end of the half, that could have been a real contentious call... as it was, I think it was completely bogus.

January 10, 20214 yr It is so Browns to make the playoffs and then get crushed by Covid and lose your coach and a bunch of players right before the game.
January 10, 20214 yr Isn’t the cash spending a byproduct of our kicking the can and turning salary into guarantees?
