There is a group on these boards that are actively rooting for the Eagles to fail spectacularly because they believe that will get Roseman fired which is the only way for the Eagles to win. Can you say oxymoron?

some of our fan base will never be happy , even after a win they will find something to **** about. i'm not going to beat the rah rah drum and know the team will need to get younger and with more picks that will happen. the team won the bowl and is getting longer in the tooth but i won't be crying the sky is falling and look forward to the team playing with the new coaches and believe the team won't be as bad as some think. IMO the whole team from owner to water boy got an ego after the superbowl and when it crashed down around them the QB , head coach , owner and GM all crap the bed. head coach didn't want to bring in better staff and QB couldn't handle the stress of BDN legend and back up competition so they are gone. hence we have the 2021 season, LOL

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Howie’s drafts have become a national punchline,  but let’s call him an average drafter

 I call him below average.

I’m not wishing for Eagles to fail so Howie can get fired. He should have been fired already. I hope we do well but I expect us to be the bottom of the league

Max Jones with our "weapons”

lol hilarious

Do people even know how good Waddle, Smith, Harris are?

I mean nobody even talks about Harris, guy is probably going to be better than Henry.

I bet the Giants take Rousseau

Breaking News: Zags are good

They are but let's face it they dont play the best competition.  Will be fun to see them play some of the better teams in the elite 8 or final 4.

Yup, I’d be very surprised if they didn’t go trenches somewhere with their #11 pick.  Gettleman has a bias toward big bodies and their secondary is pretty much bought and paid for, along with Golladay.  DL or OL makes the most sense for them, although if Parsons is still on the board they’d be smart to grab him.

True, but they played 3 top 10 teams to start the season. The Baylor cancellation blew big floppy donkey dong though.

As a rabid Zags fan, this is their best team by light years.

Only Baylor has a shot.

That will be a hell of a game!

Zags got #6 recruit in the nation Friday and the number #2, Suggs BFF from high school, is supposed to go there too.

If that happens, watch out.

Wouldn't shock me one bit.  Watch the Cowboys take Pitts and NYG take Rousseau.

This is probably few’s best team he’s ever had. Saying a lot cause he has had some good teams. That said if I’m Gonzaga i don’t want to face in their region is Oregon. That was the one team in the bracket that has the versatility and athletes and shooters to put a scare in them. Add on Dana Altman is a great coach and super underrated.

Iowa was overrated and they destroyed them earlier. Kansas overachieved cause they didn’t have the talent they usually did. Gonzaga beat them by 12 and it wasn’t really that close. And uva wasn’t nearly as good as in past year and Gonzaga already beat them

i think Gonzaga beats Oregon but i felt since the bracket started Oregon was playing great, has athletes, talent and coaching that Gonzaga would wanted to avoid in the region. They were coming on strong and shouldn’t have been a 7 seed. Looks even worse now cause Oregon state is playing so well and that’s really was their only loss in like 11 games

Nah, there are some people who dislike Roseman on grounds that have nothing to do with his performance, so they'll root for the Eagles to fail so he'll be fired - of course, if he does his job well, the Eagles will be better than expected and might be enjoyable to watch.

I ignore that crap, whether media or fans. I figure Howie's got a solid track record when it comes to rebuilding/reloading. Even the draft analyses show he's an average drafter (just lacked draft picks after 2016), fact is, there's little evidence of superior drafters, you can always pick a couple years when a team hit if you ignore the other years. What Howie does best is wheel and deal, looking for little edges (like getting the 5th converted into a 4th). He's dependent upon his staff, and I think that was a selling point of Sirianni, his roster of potential coaching hires.

Right now that's exactly what this team needs, lots of little moves that improve the asset base, and a coaching staff focused on player development. We're not going to rebuild just on 1st rd picks, it'll take finding the Celeks and Kelces. Diss UDFAs, but both McLeod and Harris went undrafted.

2023?  Worry about that when we get there.

Generally I agree, with this part being the exception.

I think Howie actually is actually at his best with big moves, be it coaching changes or player personnel. He’s a big picture guy more so than anything else.

Landing Wentz was a big move that he facilitated. Pulling the plug on Wentz was another big move from which he managed to extract good value. Trading down from 6 to 12 was another big move, high value, but picture move.

It’s just my interpretation based off of comments from Lurie on why Doug was fired and the moves since then, but I do think Howie is in big move mode. There’s been three of them made so far between the coaching change, the Wentz trade and the trade down. I sincerely think he has at least two more big moves left in him. I think he tries to add at least one more premium pick for 2022 (a first or second) and I think in 2022 or 2023 we try to grab a franchise QB.

The little moves are nice, don’t get me wrong. It’s good to have a coaching staff more focused on player development. It’s good to increase the volume of draft picks so that we can get younger and turnover the roster. But this is a team that even the owner said was in a rebuilding phase. You don’t rebuild with tweaks and little moves. You rebuild with big, franchise altering moves like adding extra first round picks, changing coaches, and getting a good young QB.

I see them taking Parsons if he is still there.

Dallas takes Pitts quickly followed by everybody anointing them SB favorites regardless of their lousy defense and crumbling offensive line.  If Dallas is smart they take Slater if he is there, or one of the CB.  Actually, Dallas could trade the pick to Sam Fran for Gerry and there will be story after story they are SB faves.

I can see gints going OL or adding another weapon for Jones , Waddle  . You can never have too many weapons for your young QB .

LMAO at the idea of Pitts making it to 10.

I think there’s a chance if he disappoints in his workouts.

TE is really not a high value position to any team.

Pitts will be there at 12

He needs to destroy the workout.  Players with his height and weight at other positions are dipping into 4.3’s with these bs pro days.

I’m not saying he can’t be a great receiver if he runs a 4.53....just that he’ll be left with a lot to prove.

To justify that pick, he needs to be an X WR. To go top 10 as an X wr who hasn’t even been an X wr yet, his measurables need to be completely off the charts.

You are undervaling TEs.  There is a reason the Patriots signed the top 2 in the market this year. Look at the recent Super Bowl teams and winners over the past decade.  Great TEs on those teams is one of the prevailing common strings.

Only if 5 QBs are taken and there’s a run on defensive players and/or lineman. Plus maybe a reach or two.

I don't think Pitts makes it to 12, but the idea that a TE dropping is impossible? Nope.
