I have Pitts being a complete bust. Extreme minority I get it. and if he were picked in the mid to late 20s I'd think differently.

ZERO CHANE Pitts lives up to a top 5ish pick.

I don’t think he will be a "bust” but I don’t think he’s going to get drafted top 10. He’s just too "luxury” of a player for a team in the top 10.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

"Here we go.  Rousseau making money today.  He's got Calais Campbell measurements (minus the weight). "

Yeah, well that's a minor point, like how would he move if he weighed 30 more lbs?

Guy that tall will struggle with leverage, and adding mass can slow a player down, turning a college pass rusher into a NFL two down guy.

So, what I have learned from you this week is 6’2” is too short and 6’6” is too tall.  So only DEs that are between 6’3” and 6’5” are acceptable or are 6’3” and 6’5” tweeners too risky?

Moral of the story, if you went with EMB consensus, you have Kamara, Metcalf and Jefferson.  Instead, you have Sidney Jones ( gone ) JJAWful ( bust ) and Reagor ( not Jefferson )

Need a football guy making football decisions.  Instead you have an accountant.  The list of WRs who were drafted after JJAWful, some in less than ideal conditions, having a major impact is hilarious at best.

The Blog was not in consensus on Metcalf when he was drafted. At all. Nor with Jefferson. There was a few who really wanted Jefferson, but not even close to the majority. Kamara I don't recall, I know there was talk of people liking him. But can we please stop with the revisionist nonsense about Metcalf especially? He had a major injury concern which scared off all other teams, and he had horrible agility scores. He landed in a place that maximizes his skill set perfectly, with a QB who also meshes perfectly with him.

Why not **** about JuJu or Cooper Kupp? Coulda had either instead of Jones.

Unofficial 40 times for UNC’s pro day from our crew there Williams 4.58 Carter 4.55 Surratt 4.6 Brown 4.4

Surratt , I never liked

,Williams didn’t help himself nor did carter slow times for all 3, in a time when everyone is fast

Surratt's 40 time isn't bad.  I wonder what his other measurements will be.  I think 4.6 is fine speed for the position if his other numbers are good.  I think Surratt is going to be a decent pro.

Doesn't fit the narrative enough, obviously

Doubt Chip had much input into the 2013 draft, given when he was hired, other than PAC-10 players. And they probably didn't need him to tell them Ertz was good. So you can blame Barkley and Kroger on him and credit him with Poyer.

2014:  M Smith #26, Matthews #42, Huff #86, Watkins #101, Hart #141, Reynolds #162, Allen #224 (Huff, Hart, Reynolds PAC-10)

2015:  Agholor #20, Rowe #47, Hicks #84, Shepherd #191, Evans #196, Mihalik #237 (Agholor, Rowe PAC-10)

Yup, it's really bad, and yet Howie is probably as bad or worse, so the point remains.

I don’t think they are allowed that many. It’s three only. Guess that means they have three there.

Haven't heard much noise on the boards about Kwity Paye- Edge from michigan.

Could be there at 12 Howie and the eagles love their edge rushers and with barnett's future uncertain graham Being a year older and sweat in my opinion no more than a rotation guy could a guy like Paye be an eagles target?

Thoughts?

I like him a lot but I'm biased.

Yes, I was exaggerating but they have the important folks down there.

No way was there consensus regarding Jefferson.  I was definitely in the minority wanting him over the the other WR prospects.  Most said "he is just a slot player",  "he can't play outside" or "we need somebody to take the top off the defense."  A lot of revisionist history going on with Jefferson.

It’s Florida and a cold front is blowing in later this week.

This is feeling a little like 2017 to me.  I was against the Eagles drafting DL at #14 in that draft because I felt like there were a ton of resources already spent on the DL and more obvious holes in the roster and needs.  2017 was a bad Eagles draft, in part because they went DE with Barnett and it forced them to use their 2nd and 3rd round picks to replenish what was a terrible secondary.  I don't think Barnett has been a bad player, but the Eagles certainly could have done better with how the board played out.  Both Jones and Rasul Douglas were weak picks on Day 2, and the Day 3 picks got even worse.

I have much the same outlook towards the 2021 first round pick -- but I'll add there just isn't a DL player at all worth a #12 pick.  Paye and Rousseau wouldn't even be first round picks in most drafts.  Barmore is the only DL player worthy of a first round pick, and he's an "after 20" prospect.

Yep.  What happened to the Mims group?

Jaelen Philips has a 7.01 3 cone, 4.46 40 and weighed 265lbs.

Still, I don't think he's draftable in the top 15 with his concussion history and "retirement".

He is too slow for me , he ran a 4.67 and 4.70 at the elite combine a few weeks back

he needs to get stronger , and he is raw for the position , was playing QB a cpl years ago

Wow, Jaelan Philips 4.46
Rousseau 4.74

Apparently Darnold can be had for only a 3rd, any interest?

I mean he is only 23, who knows maybe Siri can fix him.

Yiiiiiiiikes.
