I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This is a way that Pitts falls potentially. But with these players on the board, is he a slam dunk? This would be prime Howie trade back with Pitts on the board to make everyone erupt.

The more I think about it, the better the trade down looks. Honestly, due to the early QB run, most players look really good at 12. One of Surtain, Waddle, Smith, Horn or Parsons will be there and they all seem like great assets to me.

Having said that, I'll be pissed if the Bengals, Falcons or Lions also trade down on draft day and get more in return.

Yeah. That was more about I think Lance goes #4, but not necessarily to ATL. I think Denver may jump up, and ATL drops to 9 and takes an O-lineman.

Makes sense for atlanta to do it and get more picks. They could use more draft capital and capitalize on the draft board. I still don’t think Lance is out of play for SF. I know the current rumor is Mac jones but i wouldn’t be shocked if it’s Lance.

Predicting a Dimitroff trade down is a hot take

Atlanta i think trades out to a team that wants to move up for a QB. Looking at Ryan’s contract they are locked into it for at least 2 years and likely 3 after the restructure 2 weeks. If they do stay at 4 i think they go Oline. Alex Mack left and Hennessy is starting at center. Mcgary was not good last year at RT. And currently their LG position is a question mark on who starts. They could also use help in their secondary hit i think corner is way too early at 4 and would make sense in a trade back. I think Denver, Carolina (i believe they would make him pay a kings ransom to make that move back with them) and New England and Washington would be in play. Not sure they want to move back to where Washington is picking.

I see Broncos going defense as well. They have a good TE. I see a decent probability that Pitts falls.

Damn, Smith Waddle and Pitts at 12.. That would be great.

And you get that extra first on top of it! That would be a big win for us.

And they would take Barmore.

Theoretically it makes sense but are they really going to trade all the way up to #3 to take a guy they didn't bother sending anyone to his pro-day? Seems pretty risky and reckless, but I suppose it's possible.

Possible. I tend to think Carolina is trying to get a QB. Trade up or if one falls at 8. Guessing if fields, Lance, Wilson and Lawrence are all off the board it becomes interesting for Carolina at 8. I think pitts is very much in play at that point. I don’t know how Carolina feels about Mac jones. Really haven’t heard much about Carolina and jones.

He got fired, right?

Pete Werner Ohio State ran 4.52 Vertical: 39.5 Broad: 10-2

Oh yea, forgot about that.

I forgot teams actually can fire GM’s

It's really not hard.

Get the scouts, personnel people and the coaches on the same page, that is, make sure people communicate and are clear about what they're looking for and at, the Gocong pick is a perfect example, good scouting, value pick, but not for the Eagles - and the scouts should have evaluated his movement skills, does he have the ability to move to SLB like Emmons (which I think is where they got the idea, Emmons was a 3-4 OLB at Pittsburgh who they converted to SAM and had a fine career).

If Gannon wants tall DL and long CBs, then move the shorter guys down and the taller guys up the board - doesn't mean you take short guys off, what is a so-so fit in the late first round could be a steal if he falls to the 3rd round.

Coaching matters, almost every OL picked has worked out with Mudd and Stoutland at OC (except Watkins, but that was a scouting failure, didn't do their homework on his psyche), but how many DBs?

If the board is properly set, then Howie's job is easy, move up and down to maximize value working off the board. If the scouts and coaches can't get on the same page, then Howie is left to guess (my scouts rave about this guy but my HC will never start him).

Who is setting the board now?

The guy we’re going to blame 12 months from now

I think it is going to be Mac jones but I think it comes down to Mac jones and Lance. They made the trade before fields pro day. Unless they were just all about fields not sure they make that move before even seeing his pro day either if we are using not going to Lance against him.

You can't fire Senators or kids. Though some parents would like to.

Oh the irony...   Seems Howie is nearly impossible to fire too.

Ah the circle of drafting blame i came up with a month ago.

I think taking Jones at 3 in insanity, but just too many people reporting it, plus Kyle going to his pro day.

Drafting is really simple. As long as the scouts do a good job, as long as the board is set correctly, as long as coaches don't interfere and interject with their opinions, as long as identified players don't go before the Eagles pick, as long as no jumps the Eagles the pick before and as long as all the medicals check out, Howie nails it out of the park 10/10 times.

That’s good for our draft pick.

I think it’s going to be jones. But i just wouldn’t be entirely that shocked it wasn’t him. I think he’s the odds on betting favorite at the moment

Eagles/Jets is now official.
