I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Basham for sure for me.  275 lbs, runs a 4.6 40, 23 games in a row with a TFL, could be versatile enough to play DE or DT.  Plays fast on film.

Pretty sure TB would grab him at 32, though.

I mean Oweh is 257 and runs under a 4.4.  I agree Basham is probably better year one and 2 but if he can learn from BG and company the kid has as much upside in the draft

Oweh is sort of like trading a pick for a 2022 first rounder.

He's got pure first round talent.

He's also likely to be useless as a rookie.  And this is coming from someone who believes that raw, uber athletic DE's and WR's actually have a better, earlier impact than the less explosive guys who have to adjust to all the finer points of the game in order produce in the NFL.

He's got a LOT of work to do.  But no edge player in this entire draft (or most drafts) has his unique type of talent.  Of course, that may be if you are willing to put any stock in his 40 time.

I think his value starts in the last few picks of round 1.  With our 2?  Sure, welcome aboard.

Heard that about Ramsey also

If we go DE in round 2 and Oweh and Basham Jr. are the two options hypothetically who you guys taking?

Both are good athletes. I’d take Basham Jr. —bigger mass but he needs to work on strength. I’d rather take a tweener DE/DT than a tweener DE/LB that Oweh projects to be

Re 2020 draft...

Everyone has debated Hurts and the WRs (Reagor/Hightower/Watkins) extensively.  Driscoll is well-discussed.

Are Davion Taylor and K'von Wallace left for dead already?  Not a peep about them or expectations.  With Mcleod figuring to get healthy at some point in 2021 and the Eagles spending the majority of their precious little cap space on a pair of safeties, that doesn't speak very highly to Wallace's future here.

Taylor looked about as miscast as a defensive player in the NFL as a 3rd round pick can look...but he does have a set of athletic tools.  No one seems to expect much at this point, but 2 LB's above him on the depth chart walked.  I doubt they make a substantial draft investment here.  I guess he'll get his shot?

Sorry for your luck. My wife shares my thoughts on country music.

I'm not normally a fan of hers.  I thought A Star is Born v 3.0 was pretty good and she was good in it.  I know a few songs got a lot of air play because of that movie.  But the one that closed the movie was an amazing song.  Has to be one of the better songs put out the past 10 years (not saying much).  Really had a big Whitney Houston (The Bodyguard) vibe to it.  Makes me miss Carson.

Your wife has better taste.  There is some great country music out there.  It’s folk music, music of the people, just like jazz, blues, bluegrass, zydeco, reggae and rock n roll.

Hey can Luke Kelly get a shout out.  Probably before a lot of your guys time but his version of raglan road is the best ever done.

If Justin Jefferson didn't make the Reagor pick look so bad and the Hurts pick didn't completely change that fate of this franchise I would argue that Taylor and Wallace were worse draft picks who showed nothing on the field.

Taylor was a horrible pick.  I hated it.   I don't care how athletic he is, this team and staff had shown nothing in the sense of being able to develop a linebacker, heck we were headed in to year 4 of the Nate Gerry experiment and that was terrible.  What made them think they could A. afford to take a risk that high in the draft at a development player and B. actually develop me is just totally horrible self assessment.

For as much as Wallace was touted as one of the steals of the draft his play showed nothing of the sort.  Frankly, I'm more excited to see Marcus Epps develop.  Wallace talked the talk on twitter but I never saw anything in his game that said hey we could be OK at safety with this guy.  Kurt Coleman showed more his rookie year.

All 4 have the potential to start in 2021 though.  Put them out there and if let me prove if they belong or not.  Nothing else to lose at this point.

I am with these two , and have been saying  he could go late one early two, Mond is another steal

QB Davis Mills of Stanford has some of the most intriguing tape to watch of any player in this draft. He is the off the radar developmental QB that should be on the radar. Classic pocket passer, adequate mobility, good arm strength, exceptional touch...could be an absolute steal.

I like Mills and with all the QBs in this draft only so many teams will be going QB in the first two rounds. he could be a player that slides to the 3rd or 4th round. id be a buyer for him in one of those rounds if he does slip. However at no point would I take a QB in the first 2 rounds.

If he slides to 4th round , it’s because teams don’t think much of him , if teams think he can play QB in the NFL , they won’t wait . I could be way off but I think he and Mond are gone by rd 3 , I think one ends up sitting behind Brady for 2 years .

New defensive coordinator = clean slate.

Taylor I think will max out as a nickle LB (if that), but be a good ST player the rest of the way. Not worth a top 100 pick, but not completely useless.

Wallace is the ideal 3rd safety. Should be able to play in the box and in 2 S sets. The problem under Schwartz is that Wallace lacked the range to play FS in Cover1/Cover 3. Rookies without experience and range cant do that. If we don't draft a safety in the first 3 rounds, I'd feel comfortable saying Wallace is safety 2 or 3.

Taylor was the worst pick in the draft, IMO.

I think he is off the board at 12.  I think Dallas snaps him up.  They could take Slater but their D needs help.  Especially with the Gnats and WFT receivers the next few seasons getting a potential #1 corner would be smart.  Horns momentum can't be ignored.  He looks like he will be the first CB taken.

They are moving Avery to LB. They may also pick a LB in the draft, probably not a high pick.  Taylor will be in the mix and he is a mid-round pick.  He has to stand out to claim a role.

I agree, though Jones may go for the Bama guy in Surtain. That means Surtain should be there for us at 12 who I think I can settle with if chosen. I like Horn's upside more but Surtain should be a pretty good pro.

Mills would be a great investment here.  Far more upside as a passer than Hurts.  He’s a great prospect to just coach up for a year.

Thats the epitome of how I’d like them to do QB. Fine someone with easy arm talent and a fast release in round 3, use the other picks to stack up around him...rather than trade everything for one guy at the top of the draft to play with crap wrs and a crap OL.

Mills will be there in round 3 as long as Belichick gets his qb early.

That's a good point.  I'd take either at 12 and hope one or the other is there.  I'd take Slater as well but the Giants would be dumb not to take him.

Agree and would be good with this. Certain posters seem to think he'll be a first rounder though, for whatever reason.

Top of my head , teams that need a QB now or real soon

niners

bucs

bears

broncos

falcons

jags

lions

panthets

pats

Saints

steelers

skins

one of my favorite players. our back 7 has no tone setters or intimidating players. This guy can play the pass and knock fools out. Really quality size and measurables - 6'3 1/4" 215 with a wing span of 81 7/8. Hoping he could be there mid to late round 2. They would need to check out his knee as he had an acl in 2019 but returned the end of the 2020. I really like some of these Floridate state players this year. Wilson and Robinson would look good on this d-line too and Samuel would be a nice slot and Terry would be a nice mid round WR option.
