Daboll I can get behind. Kafka would not excite me.

I think they’re high on Kafka. Last year the Chiefs rejected him coming in for the offensive coordinators job. And he’s a former QB and been in Philadelphia. Frankly i think they go him rather than beinemy only cause he’s a former QB and if you are going to salvage wentz i think that’s what they would go with.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Good for the Browns. I hate every single thing about the Steelers. After the Pats, they're my most hated AFC team.

The only non-dysfunctional explanation would be their mystery guy is still coaching.

I have been hoping that is the reason they haven't scheduled a DC interview yet

I keep forgetting we have to replace Schwartz too.

The fact that Collinsworth gets paid an exponential amount of money more than me to babble incoherently baffles me.  I need to get into broadcasting when I get out of the military.

I guess Lurie has more important things to do

I’m not gonna kill him for taking his time. You want to make sure you’re right. The only Super Bowl winning coach in team history. He’s gonna get it from both sides either way.

No other teams have hired anyone else and Urban Meyer would be a horrendous hire.

Interestingly, the tweet states that tomorrows meeting bewteen Doug and Lurie is to determine the fate of the Eagles. Not determine the fate of the coach. Im expecting a surprise twist- Doug fires Lurie.

If he wanted to fire him, he would have done it already.  Unless Lurie is embarrassed by the whole media "outrage” for throwing the last game.  If that’s the reason, then Lurie is a gutless twerp.  Doug and Howie should have been fired already.   And if this meeting is between Doug and Lurie, then what is Howie gonna do?  Sit in the lobby and read a magazine?

You seem to be thinking that this organization has some semblance of logic behind it.  That seems hard to believe based on recent events.

Would have to be a positional coach taking the DC job. Don’t see a DC making the lateral move here from one of the playoff defenses.

Maybe they are getting sponsored by Haagen-daz and lurie wanted to tell doug in person.

Carson power play, Doug is fired.

The only play he made all season

Pretty good audible by him.

me neither, rushing the hires is a bad idea, phillies did the same thing with gabe and still ended up with joe, i trust lurie on what he's doing.

Ya but if we are keeping Wentz I don’t really want anyone other than Bills OC or Joe Brady and we are behind by a week on those guys.

I think Collinsworth is fantastic. Don’t understand the hate

Should be a meeting between Lurie and Howie

I’m speculating but my guess is this is a Doug VS Carson thing and Doug was gonna promote a guy from the inside and the only way to keep Carson from wanting out was to get a fresh new OC and make him the play caller take away some of Doug’s power. Now Doug has refused and Lurie wants to talk. My guess is either Doug gets on board or he’s a goner.

Again I’m just speculating

The Bills OC and Howie have the same agent if that means anything.

Strong possibility play calling is the subject if there is a meeting

The Steelers last two playoff games were against the Jags and the Browns. And lost both of them at home

People keep saying this...

Maybe, just maybe, the owner of the team has a more informed view from being in meetings and seeing the decision making first hand than the fans do?

More like biased. Howie needs to go

Biased based on what? What is his bias?

Howie is always right, but just has bad luck when deciding who to listen to in the draft room and with player personnel.

Do you believe Howie should be fired?
