It’s painfully obvious they don’t trust Doug with constructing a coaching staff. They might as well let the poor guy go.

Like I said, maybe is fans know a little bit less than the owner? Just a hunch on that one.

Lurie has already taken a HC over Howie before, so I’m not sure how you can say he’s biased.

If Lurie keeps Howie and fires Doug, I have to think he has an informed reason for that decision.

Obviously he’s better informed, but that doesn’t mean he’s right.

You make decisions on the available information. That doesn’t mean you always get it right. Lurie’s not dumb. He cares. He wants to win. If he keeps Howie there’s got to be a reason for it based on his inside information.

I don't disagree.  But, we have also heard rumors that Doug might want to move on.  Maybe at the first meeting, he let Doug reconsider for a week.   Who knows what is happening any more?   Nothing this crew does is conventional anymore.

I can’t believe it’s that for him.  Lurie hasn’t cared before but I wonder if there’s some other news that has leaked. Perhaps it’s the news that Taylor is going to be his offensive coordinator.  Perhaps Howie has discussed trading him to the Jets and Lurie wants to talk to Doug about it.

Well everything is different now with COVID maybe he wanted to fire Doug in person like an adult not over zoom.  The only way to do that is fly someone out to someplace.

Well people make informed decisions all of the time but the information they are relying on could be bad or they are just making the wrong conclusion based on the information.
