I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I wanted to thank Marquise Goodwin for his time with this franchise. He was one of the greatest ever.

He’s no Jatavis Brown though

Yea it’s been a mess

Interesting listen on wip with Tony Pauline talking about slater. Says he has him slotted at a guard at the next level. He’s talked to some teams and scouts around the league have said they want to move/believe he can/will play center.

yeah. its been said for a while that while he is a good tackle, he gets better and better the closer to the middle of the line he gets.

Thats when a lot of people here started buying in to him a little bit.

I figured guard he likely would be very good. I really didn’t see him as a center though. However that’s a ton of versatility you get out of him if he’s able to legitimately play every spot on the line at a high level.

I have wanted to love Isreal Mukuamu because he is 6'3'' and plays CB and S in the same game. However, the video that people have posted in here many times of Pitts running a quick slant near the goal line on a helpless CB- thats Mukuamu. And he had a lot of other poor plays in that game. And I just have a hard time now... Love the idea of a player his size with that versatility. But he just seems to play like Jane.

This draft has a bunch of 6'3'' CBs, and Id like to get 2 of them. Someone with that size, and length will have a better chance of covering DK Metalf's freakishness.

Melifonwu really looks nice. Hes big, and plays physically too in run support. I love it.

Melifonwu and St Juste would be two dogs on the outside for us when Slay is gone.

IIRC, from what I remember reading up on him in some of the scouting reports online is that he had an injury and did have an 'off' season this year after having a couple solid ones previously.  So the question is can he return to form and shake off the injury?

yeah.

I still dont want an OL 1st round. But if we did, hed be the one to get. Versatility of him, and Driscoll would give us a ton of options for shuffling when Brooks and Kelce are done/gone. Still could see Seumalo at C eventually too.

well, maybe thatd make some sense with coverage issues. I still didnt see enough aggressiveness. He looked like a really weak tackler from what I saw. As compared to Melifonwu in that video. The difference is night and day.

He’s probably about to be the highest drafted C in NFL history then.

Chuck bednarik disagrees lol

Yeah, no, GMs typically don't trade out of the top 10 to immediately turn around to trade into the top 10.

That's how we got the 12th pick.

I understand that. It's not the norm, in any capacity.

It seems taking on blockers is old school.  These days LBS run 4.4s. Now you're seeing 4.3s the last 2 years.  It's become a speed position where they run around blockers.

I always used to look for the few guys in the draft that were adept at stack and shed. Scarce in draft prospects and when you found a guy in later round who could do it,  you knew you found a gem.

But prioritizing that caused me to hate guys like Leonard, Shazier, etc. When you miss on so many of those current day elite LBs, you gotta learn to adjust.  I don't care so much about that anymore.  Show me the guy with sideline to sideline speed who can cover, and still tackle well. Let me see him slip blocks rather than bust them, and I'm good.

Not disagreeing, the game has certainly changed and ability to cover is certainly coveted at the position.  In this I think JOK is a terrific football player, I just question his ability to play LB at the NFL level every down.

We definitely need safety help.  Here's a name to think about...Richard Lecounte from UGA.  Didn't know what happened to him but had a dirt bike accident this year and it ended his year.  Could be a steal in the later rounds.

I’d prefer the Eagles not spend #84 to trade back up from #12 to 9, but if they evaluate someone like Patrick Surtain Jr. well above Horn, for instance, they might be inclined to jump in front of DAL to do so.

He ran a 4.78 at 190 pounds. Maybe he’s still trying to work through his injury, but that’s a scary number.

Compared to Paris Ford he's Tyreek Hill.  But yea, it appears he's still working back from his injury.

I bet John Wick is sore in the morning.  I mean I laid bricks down for my fire pit yesterday and I’m still sore.  Just saying.

one of if not my favorite movie series.

Fair point

For safety the Eagles should use their 2nd and the Colts 3rd to trade back into the first and draft Moehrig.  Go Horn at 12 and Moehrig at 26 and the future for that secondary and defense is looking a lot brighter.

Haven’t seen much love for Ambry Thomas in here.  Thoughts on him?

Wife had her 2nd Covid shot yesterday.  So she’s knocked out.  Figured I would get Wick #3 knocked out, since she hates my action fighting movies.  Holy crap what a ish show.  Bad movie.  But me Vodka and Skrewball are digging in and watching it through to the end.

Yeah i thought the third one was the worst of the three. Disappointing cause the first two i loved. I’m hoping the fourth one is more like the first 2.

also skewball on the rocks is a great choice.
