And how many would you want to start a game for you?

None.  The QB's I would want to start a game for me are called starters.

You wouldn't want backup QB's to start a game for you?  What a crazy thought.

You basically want to invest in two starting QB's.  Sounds like efficient asset allocation.  Let's see if it gains traction around the league.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This plan is insane.

I'm trying to understand the significance of this link? Jalen Hurts should only be making a round 1.5mill  to be our backup :-)

It would be somewhat humorous if it wasn't my favorite team trying to outsmart the league. "We will pay a premium to have two viable starting QBs!" Turns out, both were below backup level this year.

He's lucky the owner is giving him a second chance. That's pretty ludicrous and basically guarantees there will be no real change.

Stranger things have happened, as long as you have a shot, there are no guarantees next season, win while you can.

Nor is the cap the insurmountable barrier, Peters, Malik, DeSean, Jeffrey are all out the door. Ertz will probably be traded. Barnett? Not sure McLeod will come back given his age.

In effect, all the guys y'all want gone. Some money will be pushed into 2022 when the cap rises again.

All it really means is the Eagles won't be major players in the FA market for two years, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, the focus will be on bringing in youth and giving them a shot - worked in Miami better than all the FAs they brought in. Sometimes necessity forces invention.

The key to being competitive the next two seasons is rebuilding the OL and fixing Wentz, they have a group of young WRs, athletic H-back candidates, two big play RBs, they don't need to bring in a lot of skill people, maybe one WR and an experienced H-back (or get Perkins healthy, I like him better than Rodgers, who is a bad blocker).

The defense needs a new DC who can bring in some coaches who can teach, especially a DB coach, and a more secondary friendly scheme. They're gonna have a lot of young, fast but inexperienced players the next two years, so play fast and aggressive and live with mistakes, no more "bend and break" defense.

Dear lord. How did he not get fired on the spot?

This sounds like a guy who wants to be surrounded by his "homies," because he values loyalty over competence.

How did that work for the POTUS?

His plan was to do absolutely nothing

??? Are you referencing Boston Scott?

This is somehow making Howie look better.

WR position in 2018 = Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin and Nelson Agholor.
2019 = Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin and Nelson Agholor.
2020 = Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin and Justin Jefferson.

That's all I got for what could have been.

And our front office signed more old guys and drafted like ish.

And there's still some in here defending the moves that were made. George Carlin really was right....

Not sure if this was discussed or not, but apparently eagles were offered opportunity to coach senior bowl team and they declined.

Speaks to the huge mess of the team. Usually that’s an excellent opportunity to get a huge advantage in scouting for draft.

Maybe Lurie's loyalty for bringing home the first ever Lombardi is giving him a soft spot to give Doug a Mulligan?

Well, the good news is that Lurie was not satisfied with Doug's initial plan, so that's a first step in the right direction.  Can we get another, followed by another.....?

Stop pretending this furor is a result of "one bad year". It's been a constant onslaught of bad decisions since the Super Bowl win, combined with a horrible division that hid the warts for awhile.

Lol maybe they should bring back the Chippah....at least he knew how to get rid of players....

I can't imagine watching Eagles D-backs from 2017-2019, as well as the 2020 Lions defense (LAST in DVOA) and saying "I want Cory Undlin back"

Wait, is this from today's meeting or from the first one?  If this is from today's meeting we are absolutely F'd as a franchise.

Ah so because other teams made mistakes, we should make them too!

This tweet should read more like this - "Lurie was underwhelmed. He wants external candidates with top credentials, and then Howie Roseman, sources said."
