Makes you wonder what the Hell went on in those meetings, if the reports are true Lurie wasn't happy with Doug's vision/decisions, if he did give him a 2nd chance, if Doug did come up with an alternate plan/ideas or if he didn't and wanted things his way and if Lurie either heard him out or just said "That's it. We're done here". Well, it hasn't hit ESPN yet, but good news for hockey fans is Milbury is out as NBC hockey analyst. I was wondering why it was taking them so long to can Press Taylor, but it has been explained now.
January 11, 20214 yr Interesting choice of words that all of them said he is out and not fired. Feels like the eagles will spin this as to it was mutual.

January 11, 20214 yr As I said before, if I'm Buffalo, I trade Mcdermott and promote Daboll. And if I'm Lurie, I go all-in on Daboll.

Coaches get fired/hired before the league year, so why would a trade be any different as long as it doesn't include a player 3. Precedence shows Gruden trade was official in February. It's a long time ago so things may have changed since though. I guess the discussion is moot.

I don't care how they spin it. Doug needed to go. But, Howie still needs to go. This does give me hope that Carson Wentz can be salvaged and we won't be on the QB carousel just yet. I'd love to see Daboll come in, bring in a few things with him... Move your QB around... Make some throws easier for the QB with motions, and crossers... and for goodness sake, get some legitimate WR in here, no more retreads and hopes that raw will equal success.

January 11, 20214 yr We better not just interview the two Cheifs canidates and then hire one. Brady, Daboll, and Smith better be interviewed.
January 11, 20214 yr Bittersweet moment really. I thought it was the time to let Doug go. Especially if his suggestion to lurie was that and his offense 4 out of the 5 years with the eagles was inconsistent and really mediocre or bad for long stretches. Sad cause he wasn’t anyone’s first choice when the job opening came and he won the eagles their first super bowl and you wish it would’ve worked but it really was never going too. I think the eagles made the right decision. I think they need a coach that’s good at developing QBs, player development and game planning to players strengths. Sadly it’s been hard watching the offense when all of those things have been lackluster outside of 2017.

Taylor and the whole O staff with the exception of Stoutland should also go. Though I expect the FO would want to keep Duce. Now go after Daboll or Brady. Though, unless the shackles are put on Howie (doubtful he gets the sack) then we may have to settle again for a HC who is fine not having full and total control.

January 11, 20214 yr 1 minute ago, Sack that QB said: Bring in Joe Brady. That’s a huge risk, not sure they would be willing to do that. But then again 🤷🏼♂️
January 11, 20214 yr What does Howie have on Lurie? I mean he is the weakest link in the organization but still gets off Scott free. Unbelievable.
January 11, 20214 yr As much as I think this was the right move, DP won the first Super Bowl. Can never take that away from him.
