The Dolphins aren't taking Sewell. They're locked into to a pass-catcher. OT at #18 is definitely on the table though.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I agree, I don't want Etienne at 37 but wouldn't be shocked because RB2 is a huge need.  There are good backs throughout the draft.

Rhamondre Stevenson, Trey Sermon and Michael Carter are all guys I would also keep my eyes on.  They all played at the Senior Bowl and the Eagles always seem to put a lot of value in that game.  Probably more this year than in years past with no combine.

Sermon on day 3 i would be happy with. Teague too

If Pitts/Chase are gone I would go Sewell..  They can move up from 18 if one of their main targets starts falling.  I'd rather have the best OT and 5th WR then 3rd or 4th OT and 3rd WR

What's up with Chris Evans from Michigan?  Seems to have the size, speed, agility you want but wasn't used much at Michigan... Fresh legs is nice but why wasn't he getting more carries?  I'm just asking I don't know

Yikes.

I wonder if the Dolphins sense Pitts at 4 and Chase at 5, leaving them without their two targeted playmakers.

seems to be the building consensus...

which if its true i will give Howie credit for the intel based tradeback

Page count getting up there to years I'm not sure I'll live to

What's the earliest you would feel comfortable taking Farley? For me it's the first 3rd rounder.

It's hard to say, I would have to trust the medical evaluation.  Unsurprisingly, the Eagles haven't done so well with these types of projections in the recent past.  Sidney Jones was a massive bust, while D.K. Metcalf is a game changing player with no injury issues.  You would need to have someone you could trust to give you the best and worst case and most likely prognosis and timeline before you could assign a level of acceptable risk/reward.  Hopefully the owner/GM has found someone knew that can at least advise on these matters accurately.

If he continues to fall in to the 3rd round, I try to package Ertz with some of the late rounders and 123 to get him.

I can't see him falling that far. The injuries are absolutely a concern but he's the third best CB in this draft in terms of talent. But hey who knows come draft day.

I'd be surprised if they draft someone with an injury history. The team has been burned by injuries for years

He's the best in terms of talent. Dude's a freak of nature. He could be DK Metcalf, who makes teams look stupid for passing on him for the first couple years (time will tell...), but you just can't push those concerns aside. My general rule is if you don't think you can sign a guy to a 2nd contract, then it's round 4 at the earliest.

I’m not sure using a top 3 pick on a franchise QB is the proper method anymore.

I mentioned last night that Peyton Manning in 1998 is the last time a team grabbed a top 1-2 overall pick on a QB and parlayed it into a Super Bowl.  I don’t count Eli Manning in 2004 because he was immediately traded from the Chargers to the Giants.

That strategy used to work in the 70s and 80s with Bradshaw, Elway, Aikman, etc., but it’s been a long time.

2016 Eagles selected Carson Wentz #2.
2017 Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Absolute earliest is 4th. Back surgeries are no joke, and he has had 2, which make future disc injuries and surgeries a very high probability. If I was a GM, he would go on my do not draft list....

Justin Fields seems like a good dude. For his sake, I hope the Eagles don’t draft him.

I think that's a good way to look at it. I mean you'll miss out on talent of course but it's a logical way to look at things.

Virtual lock we draft him.   Howie is drooling and already working on the "first round talent" speech.

Yep. I can see it now. We traded down to #12 (maybe even further) and still got the guy we think is the best CB in this draft. And then we won't ever see Farley play.

if....BIG IF...we go WR in round 1 and he is sitting there at 37?  awfully tempting...

Theres probably 10 suitors for Ertz, I'd call everyone and say Team X offered me a 5th, give me a 4th lets get it done.

Id hate to trade mid draft, not ready for it, flying by the seat of our pants and mess it up

at this point, I wish they would turn him into a 2022 pick...

This draft is so anti-climatic for me.  A new approach?  A new eye on adding talent?   Nope... just the same folks that have screwed up for the last few years.   But, this time they will get it right.  This time they will go by the board the scouts have built.  This time will be different.

Well, this time, I'm not falling for it.

I'd like to see Ertz and Wentz reunited in Indy.
