I just do not want anyone from the Chiefs everyone else I will listen too.

Andy and Doug both had a lot of success in Philly, though

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I mean wasn’t doug only a nfl coach for 5-6 years before he was HC

Entered the NFL in 2009 and spent years as OC. Kafka entered the NFL in 2017. They basically think it would be too big of a jump.

We're going to get a better candidate than people think this time around.

There are 7 openings and more than 7 good candidates.

Remember when Ben McAdoo was a good HC candidate.

Also, does anyone else find it weird the only player really to speak out so far was Ertz? The quietness around this is odd.

TBH, I never thought he was. Coaching Aaron Rodgers doesn't make you good!

The four right after the first two would be good.

I’m not sure many of the guys on defense knew who he was, tbh .....

But, yeah, Carson Wentz typically sends stuff out very quickly — for sure he’s going to get a lot of media questions

No.  I never got the McAdoo hype.

Listen.  I am not a ultra religious guy or a guy who believes in divine intervention.  But I believe in it, in this case.

My father was in Hospice the game Carson got hurt against the Rams.  He passed a few days later.  He was always telling me for as long as I can remember that the Eagles are losers.  They never won a SB and won't win one in his lifetime.  He was never a Philly fan, any sport.  Thought it was a city of losers.  Well that day, before the game I told him how good of a guy Carson is and how good of a team they are that year.  He took a nap while I was watching the Eagles game in the lobby on my phone.  When Carson got knocked out, I told him, "welp it looks like their SB run is over, star QB is out for the year most likely".  He said, "nahhh....have faith...they will win it".  3 days later he was gone.  He has never said anything remotely positive about the Eagles for as long as I could remember, until that very moment.  My mother passed that previous March.  I bought him a pendant to wear around his neck with some of her ashes in it.  After he was gone, I took that pendant and put his wedding ring around it and wore on SB Sunday.  I never wore it before....or since.  But he was right......they didn't win it in his lifetime.

Mate that's an incredible story. I mean I know it's real life, it's your life, but that is such a good positive and touching story.

Do you believe Carson can and will turn it around?

I saw Boston Scott make a statement. I can't find the tweet right now because of how chaotic it is but I did see something from him.

A lovely... and sad story.

Brandon Staley would be a fascinating choice.

I'm not crying.  I just have something in both my eyes.

This stuff about "college coaches don't work in the NFL" means nothing.  Scheming in the NFL is not rocket science.  A sharp guy like Lincoln Riley could figure it out no problem, especially if he hires and OC and other staff w/NFL experience.

I'd LOVE to see us interview an out of the box candidate like that.

Looking back to Chip, it wasn't his coaching that was the problem.  It was his GMing, backroom politicking, and lack of people skills that got him fired.

None of this is rocket science.

But the blueprint to succeed in the NCAA, even the SEC, is different from the blueprint to succeed in the NFL.  That's not to say that a smart NCAA HC isn't well aware of that and can't figure it out.

It's their egos I don't trust.

Some of the most notoriously unsuccessful HC's are the historically successful ones who come back to the league in their old age.  The league is constantly changing and they try to win the way they did years ago.  That's worse than gambling on an unknown.

Likewise, Spurrier and Chip were offensively waaaay ahead of the curve in NCAA.  Their egos, more than anything else, prevented them from adapting their blueprint IN ANY WAY to the NFL.  And they failed spectacularly.

I think anyone from underneath any stone might have the potential to be the next big thing as an NFL HC.  I just worry about guys rigidly adhering to a blueprint that worked for them in a different capacity.

Honestly, this makes 2021 not a wasted year,  you are either building/growing or dying. Watching Doug Die on the vine for another year would have just been a waste. At least now, we can start building something. It means the new HC will have no loyalties to older players who can no longer play. The new HC will be looking for young players to develop, to grow with.

It means all players get a new start, to prove to the new HC whether they can play or not - in his system. New eyes.  Maybe Guys Like Reagor and Fulgham have a place, and develop. Maybe the new HC will be able to scheme open players, maybe Wentz will get the coaching he deserves?  It means new systems. Not the same ol same ol we could basically predict what plays are coming.

Either way, we knew what the outcome of 2021 would be if we kept Doug, now at least my interest in watching the team grow is renewed.

This is why I want Lincoln Riley. His offense with Mayfield was different than the one with Murray. His offense with Murray, was different than the one with Hurts. He's made it work with all different types of QBs.

Honestly I think Chargers are the #1 spot

Texans have talent all over but FO is a mess now

Jets are the Jets

Jags are getting Trevor but the owner is going to get more hands on...so possible mess

Broncos promoted Elway so he's not the GM anymore. Meh

Falcons are doing a reset

Not idea about Lions

Eagles have aging players and bad contracts. They also are always injured. Plus they still have a QB controversy. To top it off they have Howie the snake

Likely because he has no idea how to operate Zoom.

My Top choice here

We know that he ran 100% of the offense in Buffalo. He didnt have an offensive HC above him taking control like Doug and Eric were in KC. Not to mention he has done a very good job with Josh Allen and turning him into a top NFL QB.

Honestly I really don't know.  I seriously think his head is so far screwed up right now.  Hopefully this is the notice he needs to work on his mechanics and accept tough coaching (love).

See part of my concern is, why hasn't he encouraged tough coaching to this point? Why does he think Press is good for him?

Ok... Let's be crazy...

Eagles hire Daboll as HC, he brings someone from Buffalo with him for OC.

QB coach - Josh McCown and build up Wentz and see if you can rebuild him.

Fill out the rest of the coaching staff.

That was an awesome story and sad at the same time. I thought for a while they’d never win it in my lifetime so I’m always grateful for it.

I’m also not a super religious guy or believes in divine intervention all that much but i started a shrine and had candles lit every game they played after wentz got hurt. My brother and i walked out of the coliseum crushed after we heard the news about wentz that day. Rams fans were making fun of eagles fans and taunting us about wentz. I looked at my brother and said it would be the ultimate nick foles thing to somehow play like 27-2 and the eagles win the thing so every Rams fan would have karma bite them in the ass. I never imagined it would go the way it did but just feels like it was the eagles time to win it. Like a virgins time to just lose their virginity

Problem is there’s better jobs out there so I’m guessing we aren’t his top choice you’d have to incentivize it and give him power i believe to choose us over some of the other teams.
