I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

For the life of me I can't understand why Luire thinks firing Doug is a good decision if he's going to keep Howie.

Just saying doug before the season had a report saying he’d be ok with moving on and being fired. Who says he didn’t walk into that meeting knew he could get another HC job that gave him more power then here and ability to keep calling plays so he wanted out and the eagles obliged cause they weren’t exactly thrilled with his coaching .

He's a Haagen-Daas guy.

Howie forced Haagen-Daas.

True enough.

For the record, No HC has ever WON a SB as HC with 2 different teams.

That is correct... I meant Super Bowl contender... I don't think he'll even be Marty Schottenheimer.... always in the playoffs only to come up short.

The Jets fans are freaking out on their boards.  Some would prefer Marvin Lewis over Doug LOL

Nope.  Eagles are the Eagles.  NFC East, large market, passionate fan base.  Listen the fan base has kept this team as viable as it is.  Lurie listens....obviously.  No chance the Eagles aren't one of the best open jobs, regardless of the reset that will have to take place the next few years.  I completely disagree.

I agree the bolded is a fact. Even as the worst division in the NFL the NFC East gets the most press, talked about the most. Most hype,  highly visible.

I'm a Turkey Hill guy, personally.

But Doug doesn’t make any sense for the Jets.

Was Hurts Doug's choice and Howie went with him over Jeremy Chinn?

I don't care.  Howie still sucks.

I dont know, we dont know, Jeff does though.

You have to feel bad for those people.. they've been bludgeoned over the decades.   They had Super Bowl 3... and then pretty much became a laughingstock.

If only.

Doug is a lurker on these boards.  He wanted Kamara, Metcalf, Jefferson, Chinn etc

I don't know why Lincoln Riley would leave Oklahoma to come here and step into this mess.

Lincoln Riley? If the Eagles want him then they must know he's going to want Hurts to be the guy, so maybe they are not as sold as Wentz as is being reported?

This is confusing...

Not sure what that tells me about the QB situation. He worked with hurts at Oklahoma. So you’d think it would be hurts. But he might also believe wentz can run his offense similarly to what Baker mayfield did at Oklahoma and i loved wentz more than baker when they came out.

Its the markets.  No division can boast bigger markets and more fans... hence why the turd show of Washingteam-Eagles was the SNF game.

Was, PHIL, NYG, and the fraud Cowboys fans.   Biggest market share of any division.  Boston is paired with Buffalo... and Miami and the Jets don't have the fanbases, despite the city sizes.   LA is bogus, that market doesn't care about pro football.  SF, Seattle, Phoenix.  No one in Phoenix is FROM Phoenix.  lol  Big cities, no rabid fanbases.  The North divisions are too small, and the South divisions are tiny cities.

It's sad it came to this for Doug, but ultimately this is the right call. Those potential coaching hires were fire me bait, his body language for months has been off and he lacked the same bounce in his step that he had from 2016-2018.  He wanted out. The Super Bowl was an utterly special moment and one I will always be thankful for.  Wish him (and his family) all the best.

I bet Lurie is my nephew's Maths teacher level bad on Zoom. He started the Zoom lesson last week, randomly put himself on mute and ignored the kids telling him to unmute himself for 10 minutes.  The UKs future being taught by that muppet.

Yup it's why any HC opening in this division is always coveted.

C'mon Lurie..I need to make a beer run for tonight's game. Let's get this crap show on the road.

It would just add to the mess TBH.  Riley is hitched to Hurts.  QB controversy continued.

Either he believes he can have success with wentz or he loves hurts and believes he can have success with him. I don’t think he leaves but then again i didn’t think chip would leave Oregon either

I have no idea why he would want to come here. We may hear a lot, but that doesn't mean just because the Eagles want him he'll want to come here.

I dont know if thats even a choice.

Lurie tried the college coach route and it was over very quick. Not to forget not many college coaches really succeed in the NFL, very rare. Also I think Lurie wants Wentz to get his shot at being the starter at least 1 more year. If Lincoln comes in, all you will hear is how Hurts was his guy and will result in QB controversy all over again.
