We had more OL combinations than any team in the history of the NFL.

Man, we can't figure out the medical staff.

The injuries have nothing to do with the medical staff. It's either the strength and conditioning team or how Pederson ran practices/camps.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Don't worry, guys. We'll hire a head coach after Valentine's Day and a defensive coordinator and staff right in time for training camp.

Have not seen it discussed yet, but does someone like Kelce want to come back for a new coach in what is looking like a several year rebuild.

Just putting this out there as I see it brought up and interchanged frequently. The Eagles medical staff did great this past year. The strength and conditioning staff did not do great this year. Big difference.

No rush. We should wait until the Saturday before gameday to hire a coach. Keep the other team guessing!

Fix the strength and conditioning group first.

The Eagles are not in physical condition at the start of the NFL season, and it’s been that way for the past 5 years

Ertz and Long love Doug but the baby doesn’t.

Our injury situation was bad, but losing a starting QB supersedes all of that. The worst thing you can lose in any sport. Dallas lost theirs and are likely a 9/10 win team with him. They lost Dalton too due to injury as well. So they lost two of their best QBs.

Dallas is way ahead of us right now. We can debate their 5 year mark, but for 2021? Dallas finishes a mininum of 3 games better than us and maybe 4 or 5.

We’ll see who the Eagles bring in as a coaching staff, but DAL don’t have a good staff and their roster construction is poor.   I was wrong about the Eagles this season, but I was right that DAL would win less than 8 games.

If they cave and pay Dak $38M+ I predict they’ll win less than 8 games next season as well.

I hate to have to do this because, well duh, Dallas....but they are so much better off than us in the next couple years.  If Dak comes back, their offense with their receivers is gonna be top 10 for sure.

Moving past the Howie issue for a second, Lurie put a few other dots on the board that don't quite connect.

He overtly acknowledged that 2021 will be a rebuilding and non-competitive year.  While he did not definitely commit to Wentz, this seems to be a swing in his direction.  He sung his praises.

In a tanking year, what are we going to get out of Wentz?  Isn't his seat only going to get hotter?  Next offseason, the narrative will be that Wentz will turn 30 next year (in 2022 season) and has never appeared in the playoffs.

If you are embracing the tank, that really needs to be a swing away from Wentz.

Dak threw for 450 yards per game in their first 4 games, and were 0-4 without divine stupidity from the Falcons.  He doesn’t move the needle for them in W-L .... that’s why he hasn’t been paid yet

You were right that they would win less than 8 games because Dak got hurt.

Reagor returned ahead of time. Ertz returned ahead of time. Goedert and Jackson returned in a fairly decent timeline after breaking ankles. Seumalo returned after a badly sprained MCL that needed surgery and had no setbacks. Other players returned from non soft tissue injuries and had no set backs. I really can't think of an example this year the medical staff did a bad job with. I guess Lane but the brunt of the blame should fall on him for trying to push through it.

See above.  They were losers with him in 2020

Without looking, how many games do you think Dak played last year?

Their defense played better down the stretch and it started off as the worst defense in NFL history, that was the main reason. He makes their offense significantly better, there's no denying it. He does move the needle for them in W-L. And he's killed the Eagles, that's for damn sure.

The Eagles are the worst team in the division with the worst future in the division. I know that's hard to accept, but it's earned. It showed this year. They finished last and deserved that last place spot.

Dallas has no defense. They have a bunch of talent on offense and once they fix their defense then they'll be a problem IMO

I'm still really confused what Lurie was going on about with Nate Sudfeld. Are we bringing him back to compete for the starting position next year? QB Coach?

What's even more confusing is if they had that much faith in him and thought that highly of him then why in the world do you draft Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round.  They contradict themselves with every single move.

I am sorry, but nothing ever was or is bad as the "white helmet" days of the 70's...if I could live through that and be faithful, I can live through a rebuild...

I remember getting excited about Mike Boryla

Unless a proven head coach falls into the job. Before picking up a coordinator or coach of questionable record, Id rather see someone new. Duce is a little newer to head coaching than Lincoln Riley. I might be inclined to give Riley the shot based on winning HC experience with Hurts, but the Duce argument is sound. We'll see. I can see why everyone would love to see Duce coaching. So would I. Is he the best option? I don't know.
