I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Side note...for the second HC search in a row, Lowie cannot use Duce as the Rooney Rule interview.  That's disrespectful to Duce.  You can't just keep interviewing the same guy on your staff to satisfy the rule every time you fire and search for a HC.

Yup. My thoughts exactly. Time to let him go.

Whether or not Devonta is worth #6 in the draft or will be a good pro is TBD...he is really fun to watch though in the college game.

Sark for OC

He's already signed on to be the new Texas HC.

Yes the skill guys are good, but watching creative offensive scheme is refreshing.

that was me...clearly I was wrong on that one.  Smith is just doing what he's been doing.

Smith/Harris 1 and 2 for us. @Iggles_Phan I'm on the wagon with you with Harris.

Means nothing...Texas used to be a desired spot.  Now it's not.

I'd bring in Franklin as a special consultant to recruit UDFA's.  Dude can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag but he might be the best recruiter in the country.

my problems with smith are: he is a slight build, and im not sold that just because he is wide open in college he will be wide open in the NFL.  when ur that wide open most guys could make those catches.

now i could be wrong.   also i just dont see us investing a top 10 draft pick on wr, we NEVER do that. We draft qb, oline and Dline in top 10... nothing else

Smith is great, but wanting him over Chase is recency bias. Chase did all this same stuff last year, but better. More impressive physique too.

Agreed.

At least we're getting to the point where taking Smith at #6 is no longer crazy.

So does Wentz stay or do we draft a QB at 6?

All 3

well you got a like out of it, if thats any consolation

Disagree, but nonetheless he is putting up the greatest single season for a WR in CFB history.  So it's easy to throw out the 'you're jaded by what he's doing now' thing.  Consistent superior performance from day 1 with Smith.

I don't see how Miami passes on him at #3. Their biggest position of need + Tua's teammate.

I really hope he goes third. That would be awesome for us.

Don't overthink it with Smith, we did that with Jefferson. If Chase is not there at #6, pick Smith and don't look back.

Best pic was probably Pineapple Express...was good in Spider-man too.

We can get him in three years when he’s fired.

They will tho

Lol. They threw Doug under the bus by leaking reports to make for an easier firing. This is what the Eagles do.

Yup. Which is why I have a hard time believing Bieniemy, Kafka or Daboll will want to come here. They all have close connections to ex-Eagle coaches who went through the Howie/Lurie buzzsaw.

At 19 too. What Smith is doing is impressive but he's 22 years old. Chase doing it at such a younger age is even more impressive.

The fact that in college you can do a fake snap from being set then just come up is ridiculous.

College games take forever....

I’ll give you one thing...Lurie/Howie, Lowie, from now on...Lowie at least has the foresight and sack to publicly acknowledge that it’s past time to worry about investing anything into salvaging 2021 and that the long term future is the sole consideration at this point.

The true worst case scenario is Lowie making short-sighted decisions for a fast turnaround.

Does that mean we won't be playing WRs based purely on their ability to line up correctly and might actually try to get the ball in the hands of WRs that might be able to do something positive with it?  Greg Ward makes Chad Lewis look like Barry Sanders with the ball in his hands.

Hey now, I'm not advocating for him. But there already is a thread in IWTEG. Surprised it didn't fester in here.
