Very good article.  It also doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy about Chase at #6.

I really didn’t like their comps to him. He reminds me of deandre Hopkins when he came out. I don’t know if he ever becomes that good. I think he likely runs better than Hopkins 4.57. I think chase coming out is more highly thought of. But Hopkins was 6’1 214 so he had an extra 12-14 pounds on chase.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Harris gets all the props in the world for catching that. Wow.

Going into this season quite a few scouts had him in the top 10. Obviously as the season has gone on he's played his way out of the 1sr rd most likely

yep

I am one of the ones who said it.   But, I think Smith has passed Chase this year.   Not an indictment on Chase, a credit to Smith.

This is why I don't watch rankings changing on fan made sites through the year, I don't watch stats.  I watch games.

No way.  Surtain was.  Wade might slide big though.  He’s been exposed.

I said was lol. I expect Wade to slide into the 2nd rd after a bad season

I could see Sewell, but neither WR is worth the second pick.

This season Smith has had, it could be worth it.

Holy S Harris...

I honestly don't see Surtain as a top 10 worthy pick as well.  He got tested once tonight and was lost.

I still like Surtain at 6 but I worry about his speed. His only weakness is his deep speed.

Is that worth 6th overall?

I don’t think Alabama cbs have a great track record.

Najee Harris at 6

For most part agreed but Marlon Humphrey has a top 10 corner

QBs barley ever throw Surtain's way because he's that good imo. I think he's top 10 worthy. He's a little stiff in coverage sometimes and needs to work on tracking the ball better on the deep passes

He's stiff in tight coverage.  Great athlete but he doesn't have hips to turn and get anything on his jumps.  He also can't feel WR's without being hands on.

Are you saying that Smith's stats are all that he has going for him?

When was Wade mocked to go that high?

Before the season started there were plenty of scouts that had him in the top 10. Things have definitely changed. He's been exposed

No way we take rashod Bateman at six. But i really like that kid. I think he is going to be a stud at the next level at wr.

Based on the Lowie PC, I think it’s safe to say they won’t be drafting a defensive player top 10.

And that’s one thing I’ll strongly agree with.

he was THE top CB coming in to this year. That was after playing 3rd WRs on every team since he had 2 first rounders playing in front of him on the outsides. This year, hes been exposed.

I'm far from that, I've been touting him as having Jerry Rice level intangibles.  Mainly to combat his body size comments.  He's IMO the best player in the draft.

Ah... those stats.    You were just quoting me stating that I would move Smith over Chase for this season, even though I would have put Chase at the head of the class last year.

Surtain is not a top 10 prospect. Don’t let Maddox’s suckiness persuade you

Intangibles are shaky ground for draft prospects.

Jeff McLane reporting that the Eagles took JJAW because Jeff Lurie lobbied for him.

🤦🏻‍♂️

I remember someone saying on here that Olave was going to have a better game then Smith. Can't remember if it was in the blog or the Smith thread in IWTETG

I like Farley from VT.

It's more representing the dichotomy of things.  Chase was good last year, many slandered Jefferson because of it.  One could have objectively said what Smith is doing now isn't unforeseen based off of sustained superior performance.
