Lurie mentioned having an elite offense in the presser. I suspect Riley will be the coach.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

We keep doing the same thing over and over.

Was Lurie secretly trying to tell us that he's insane all those years ago when he told us what the definition of insanity was?  Was that a cry for help from him?  Good Lord this guy is a joke.  It is the same thing with the Eagles over and over again.

Lurie is insane, senile and the more I think of it a piece of SH$#.

If Lurie goes Defense for HC, it would not surprise me if Duce is the OC.

However I still think they go Offense for HC and this is just them doing due diligence and delaying time till they can interview a coach that is still in the playoffs.

Does Saleh satisfy the Rooney Rule?

Saleh is probably a package deal with Mike LaFleur

So far there hasn't been an outcry of support by the current players for Doug which I find really odd for a supposed "player coach".

I saw Ertz post something.  I haven't really been looking though.

Lots of offensive minds are out there this time around...

Riley, Daboll, Smith, Brady  all considered to be great young offensive minds.

Lots of new posters in here all of the sudden.  It’s the place to be.  Like college basketball during the tourney time.

It's like Studio 54 without the drugs or cool celebrities

Ertz and McLeod posted something but I saw those on facebook and haven't looked to see who actually made any comments

I was thinking that as well, but I dont think he does, lol

if we remember last time they interviewed Duce without anyone even knowing till the coaching search was just about done. So they could be interviewing any position coach right now in the staff right now to fill that. Its a very dumb rule to begin with.

It has to be an outside candidate to fulfill the rule. And now you have to do it twice.

A little too late, it would appear...

Maybe Lurie can claim, in a similar manner to remarks made about the draft, that Howie identified great candidates, but other teams selected them first.

How did Duce fulfill that rule in 2016? Did it change since then?

The Eagles should hire a female head coach.

It changed this past year to two candidates, not sure when it changed to external. They also interviewed Teryl Austin in 2016 so that would have fulfilled the rule if it needed to be external

I am looking forward to all of the stories of this type and of ones where coaches allegedly just refuse to interview.  It will be a nice peaceful offseason.

I’ve been swamped with work so couldn’t follow this thread. Who are our favorite candidates out there?

There's the assistant in SF.

Shouted it from the roof tops.

Brian Dabol(buffalo) and Arthur Smith(Tennessee) have taken Wentz like players and have made them MVP candidates.

those are my top 2 choices.

and every other teams it appears...

Doug is the guy who benched Fulgham for AJ and JM for JP when they were playing well. It wouldn't shock me if he was pushing for the wrong guys in the draft.

As much as I would like to believe Lincoln Riley  could be our next head coach I just can’t fathom he’s going wanna leave Oklahoma for the Philadelphia Eagles who are currently 60 million over the cap, have a quarterback dilemma and have an old expensive roster. I just think he’s going to stay at Oklahoma rather than come here. I just think this is going to come down to daboll, Mike Kafka and Duce when all is said and done. I wouldn’t mind Riley at all i think he’s a a good young coach. I do not think he’s chip Kelly coming from college.

This is interesting though.  Roseman consulted Lincoln Riley on draft picks in the past including Reagor, and Riley said the Eagles have a "detailed plan" for Jalen Hurts.

Yup. "We’re going to have Carson line up out wide and do absolutely nothing but hand fight with the DB. And Jalen is going to line up at QB for an option play.”

very detailed indeed
