I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Interesting. Tannehill def resurrected his career. He probably need a power back in his offence as well. I can get behind this move.

He played and coached under John Bunting at Carolina.

I think Howie sold Doug on Hurts after he decided he was going to draft him.  I'm not sure Doug objected that much and probably thought it gave him some job security.

Sal Pal said Eagles are interviewing Todd Bowles

ummm and he coached here already, Adam

And then he can bring in Juan Castillo as the OC.  Juan city, Juan dream!

He will satisfy the Rooney Rule.

My guess is that we are getting a dog and pony show of interviews.

Chip is being called in.  I would put him as the front runner.

No way.  That would be a stupid idea.

Basically a joke indicating he needs a stud big ground pounding back to be successful. Don't actually think it would happen.

Im not on the Smith train. Not big on his experience. Would rather have a Brian Daboll who coached with Belicheat and Saban and saw what it takes to win, even if cheating is the answer :)

Doug is the guy who benched Fulgham for AJ and JM for JP when they were playing well. It wouldn't shock me if he was pushing for the wrong guys in the draft.

Also wouldn't shock me if Doug was the main guy behind keeping the older vets around.

I'm hoping with Dorsey around that maybe Howie realizes the mistakes he's made and will listen to him a little going forward.

Get Brad Childress on the phone. The gang is getting back together for one more ride.

Really he never even got a chance here as a DC. I never understood why they didnt keep him one more year with a off season to install his defense. After a half a season being put in, you cant do anything at that point to change the scheme, structure of the defense.

this i absolutely believe...Sproles, Peters...DP as a former player was too afraid to move on from vets

Whoever the head coach hire is, there needs to be a better relationship between GM and coaches.  Howie can’t be trading draft capital for players the coaching staff doesn’t want or can’t use.

Because Chip

Interesting to see the DC's being brought in as candidates, maybe it's just due diligence or Rooney's rule, but if one of them clicks with Lurie, who knows

his track record is pretty poor

This is why the rooney rule is stupid.

Bowles is wasting his time coming up here. he's not even in the top 5 of DC's around the country. He's an african american, he gets a nice lunch, probably private flight and wastes everyones time.

Most first interviews are virtual this year due to covid protocols.

Not to be a football socialist, but the NCAA is doing something wrong when Alabama’s 2nd string is still by far better than any other team in CFB.

They could probably field 3 separate top 10 starting lineups.

They need to do something to disincentivize top prospects from across the country from congregating in one place for a celebrity HC.  It’s not like any of them want to live in Alabama for 3 years.  At least it made sense when Miami and USC were the flavor of the month.

Couldn’t disagree more. It’s the kids decision. Maybe the other Coaches should recruit better and work harder. For one you’d think it’s be easier to get a kid to go elsewhere with the opportunity to play right away.

Not like Alabama was very good before Saban.

Bowles is pretty clearly a Rooney Rule interview. I’d love to hear what his proposed coaching staff would be. Can’t see it being inspiring at all for an owner who wants to get back to being a top 5 offense. At least Saleh can fall back on LaFleur.

draft networks mock draft think is messed up with ads - whats a better one

We want to interview Duce, Bowles, Saleh, etc. We'll be fine there.

It has to be two external, so Duce doesn’t count. And I don’t know if a Lebanese guy is considered a minority

You can just pay the $9.95 per month or the $29.95 per year and have no ads and then you can make trades and get trade offers.  Much more realistic.
